This Fly Is DANGEROUS For The Trout Population!

[00:00:00]Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to the channel. I just sat here and recorded this meal worm and unfortunately um I recorded in the wrong format trying something new. So now we get to start all the way over. Isn't that fun? So anyway, in our vice, I have a Dichi 1770 swimming nymph hook. And we're going to start off with some 600 daer worm thread. We're just going to build up a little body here.

[00:01:42]Then we're going to grab the Flymith 32 daer GSP in the color champagne.

[00:01:58]Get that tied down. And we're going to set that thread to the side. We're going to grab another spool of 52 derp.

[00:02:11]Hey guys, this is a very easy pattern.

[00:02:14]It really is. Nothing hard about it. So, we're going to start off with this pale camel color marker here.

[00:02:49]And now we're going to wrap this latex up.

[00:03:07]You can put as much stretch as you want.

[00:03:35]Okay, that's fine right there.

[00:03:42]We're going to pull it up and we're going to give it a good stretch.

[00:04:05]Whip. Finish that thread off of there.

[00:04:08]Now, we're going to grab walnut color 100 by Master's Touch.

[00:04:14]And we're just going to hit this thread a little bit.

[00:04:30]And now we're going to do our best to come between the ridges here.

[00:04:53]Okay, I ran out of marker there, so we'll just color some more up.

[00:05:24]Now, we're going to grab some golden feeasant center tail. For the right legs, I'm going to use the right side of the feather. For the left legs, I'm going to use the left side. You just grab it and just pop it off. And it's going to leave this little claw.

[00:05:39]You can see it looks just like a little claw.

[00:05:43]And then I'm going to come in here and cut the excess tip off.

[00:05:50]And you don't want these to be long at all.

[00:05:54]These should be very short.

[00:05:57]I learned this leg technique from Dave High. As a matter of fact, this whole fly is very similar to one that uh he did different style hook and he used a bead, but same technique pretty much or at least uh similar technique.

[00:06:24]And we're going to come forward.

[00:06:34]And we're just going to repeat the same process as we go up.

[00:06:46]Today seems to be all right. talked to the doctor today and they believe that it might be hyper sensitivity due to anxiety, which is crazy, but it very well could be. So, they're going to start me on a new medicine starting tomorrow or this evening, whenever the pharmacy gets it in.

[00:07:20]Then we're going to peel all this back and we're going to come up to the end of the latex there. And now I'm going to add my antenna. Same fiber, same type of deal here.

[00:08:18]And we're just going to try to sneak a few turns in here.

[00:08:24]Once I get that, pull it towards the rear.

[00:08:31]Snip that out. That's what we've got so far. Now, we're going to come through and we're going to cut the excess out.

[00:08:39]This is where having a really good pointy sharp pair of scissors comes in.

[00:09:06]Anyway, it's not a for sale post, though I do appreciate when you all support me. So, now we can check out our leg placement. And that's looking pretty good, man. So, now we're going to grab that marker back out.

[00:09:28]And we're going to get a little coloration going here.

[00:09:49]Then we're going to grab a walnut color which is a little darker.

[00:09:55]A little bit different color.

[00:10:04]That's looking good. This one actually looks better than the first one I tied anyway. So, not bad. Now, we're going to come in here, and I'm going to put some UV resin on the legs.

[00:10:20]And I'm going to make sure I have them exactly where I want them because once you hit that cure, they're just going to be stuck there forever.

[00:10:29]And those look good.

[00:10:37]So, now we're going to grab some UV craft fly tying resin and we're going to start at the bottom.

[00:10:43]Pretty important that you start at the bottom because that color on top. You don't want that to spread to the bottom. So, you can see how this is barely colored. And as I start to go here, it'll get more color on it. And you just don't want that to really spread to the bottom. And at this point, we got way too much resin on there, but I put too much on there on purpose to let it soak in. And we're going to grab a dry one here.
