Peter Obi A Terrorist | Nigeria's Political Crisis Deepens
Added:The king and the community, I have been to all and all to continue supporting them with understanding, compassion, and acceptance.
>> Insecurity in Nigeria is no longer a story that anyone should be telling you today. It's not a new story that anyone should be telling you today. It has become a norm, and that is what we need to work on.
His Excellency, Mr. Peter Obi, talking about the fact that Nnamdi Kanu is being detained and persecuted and all of that.
That is nonsensical.
>> There was There's no reason for keeping Nnamdi >> That's right.
>> As far as I'm concerned, there's no reason, no reason whatsoever.
Now, you cannot arrest somebody because he was speaking or he was He was calling people names.
Doesn't make sense.
>> He must speak.
>> Either everybody can tell you anything.
I am a politician. People call me all sorts of names.
And I don't think calling me names have anything to do with Is that an offense? Is that an offense?
>> And after Peter Obi made that statement, a lot of people went to market with the narration that no terrorist sympathizer or defender of faith drugs, drinks, and beverages manufacturers will ever get an opportunity to govern Nigeria. Not today, not tomorrow, not in 2021, never ever.
A lot of, you know, conversation now started around 2027 and Peter Obi's comments and while he should not be seen close to the villa.
But, let's wait a minute.
Is it the president of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, [music] on Democracy Day said that the bandits, the terrorists who are trading with the blood of Nigerians will know we have to surrender or they will match by the Nigerian state.
And I was wondering, which of the state exactly?
But before I even make a comment on that, let's take a listen from him.
>> To bandits, kidnappers, and sponsors of terror, surrender or face the full force of the Nigerian state.
These windows of surrender will not remain open forever.
No mercy will be shown to those who trade in blood of Nigerians.
>> Now, how that statement been on uh the 12th, today is 14th.
Two days after that statement, right? Yesterday being 13th, a former army general, retired general, was murdered that same day.
To also send a message to the president that we're not scared of you.
They said, "Surrender or we'll hit you with all forces."
And the bandits said, "We'll take away your general."
And they did.
And the report has it that he has been handed over to the community of which he was buried yesterday.
Handed over to the community as in how?
Who did they hand him over to? How?
That's another big question to be asked.
And immediately after that, we begin to see reports, the Nigerian government begin to release statement as of yesterday evening. I know that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, according to Bayo Onanuga, you know, expressed sadness over the death [music] of retired Major General Abubakar.
And I don't want to read the long rubbish that she wrote there. That the General Abubakar death should further serve as a defining moment in our better in our battle, sorry, against terrorists and insurgents. Never to negotiate with them on anything, but to continue to treat them as the greatest enemy of our dear nation, who should never be spared.
Flip it to the other side.
Over 700 of them were integrated back into the community a day before yesterday.
While they were writing this, while some of the media did guys were saying that Peter Obi is a terrorist sympathizer, they were handing over over 700 Boko Harams, bandits, handed them over to the community. I mean, we integrated them back into the community.
So, who is a terrorist sympathizer here?
Who is You know, this statement here, the last paragraph of this press release by Bayo Onanuga, where they said that they would treat them as the enemy of state.
But you are releasing them back into the society. So, I don't understand how you treat them as the enemy of state. These are contradictive statement. You said, "Surrender or we'll" Now, the next morning, they handed over to you a retired general. Let's not forget that less than 9 months ago, a serving general, serving general, serving [music] a general, not a recruit, was you know, uh um calling for help, send out his coordinates, and Nigerian army couldn't pick him until the bandit or the terrorist or the Boko Haram get to him before the Nigerian army and on a life him in a brutal manner.
Has his body been recovered and delivered to the family? Till today, we don't know.
Right? [music] So, and if you go on and on and on, you will see a lot a lot is going on. A lot is going on today in Nigeria, which makes no single sense.
When are we going to come out of this?
And that is the reason why when people be talk, they will run at him. Peter Obi is not even the president. He's not I'm not here to hold brief for Peter Obi, but you know, it saddens me sometimes to see that, you know, all of this is going on, and the best the government can do is to attack opposition. Just in terrorists have adopted the traditional ruler of Although I hear a a a Arinyo. Okay.
The name is somehow community in Owoloku government area of Ondo state.
The 60-year-old traditional ruler was kidnapped on Saturday night during an attack on his palace by gunmen.
After Tinubu gave a warning, "Surrender or we come." They don't go and from where? In in home state to uh from Southwest, from his region. They don't go and adopt person.
So, what is going on?
That is why many Nigerians now believe that the hand of the government somehow somehow is there, or there is somebody who is behind this that the government is scared of to go after. If not, make it make sense.
Anyway, Sunday Igboho, who said he is the leader of the the nation and all of that, did the same thing that Nnamdi Kanu did? Nnamdi Kanu did not even lay his hand on anybody.
And I've not seen any video of him calling for the killing of anyone. But today, where is he?
But those who murdered our generals, who raped our women, who are kidnapping our children, are being rehabilitated, released back into the community. We even have report that they even purchased them, they gave them money, you know, begged them.
>> And by the definition of Bonu Mode, it's a community-driven initiative. It is the community that came and screened them and said, "These are our boys."
Like I always say, they all the community are aware of the plight of these boys. These are boys that some of them were kidnapped in their in their farm, and the community is aware.
And just like when they were kidnapped, many people went to console their parents. And today, as they're going back to their community, many will come and celebrate today.
>> Return to their communities. I appeal to all stakeholders to continue supporting them with understanding, compassion, and acceptance.
>> Let's not forget that the Nigerian army went all the way they say the South-Eastern ESN, right? South-East network, security network, right? They were in the forest.
Nigerian army went there, flushed them out of the forest. Why was the South-East security network created? To make sure that there is no no foreigner is being found in their ancestral land, in their forest, right? But the Nigerian government said, "No, you people are prohibited. You are a terrorist organization. You cannot operate. You cannot do this." Army went there, neutralized them because also they were even using that to do things that doesn't make sense. Yes, according to reports. Now, they neutralized them, arrested them, you know, and all manners where we have over 40 children kidnapped in Oyo. Today is what? More than 3 weeks. They have been in Kidnapper's Den. But what happened? Have the government moved to move the army to the forest? Have they been able to rescue one soul?
Anyway, put that in the comment section.
This is the country we find ourselves.
In South East, people say they want to protect our our our forest, they will send them out.
While the real bandits will be doing business, they will leave them. And if they arrest them, they will return them back into the society after the so-called rehabilitation.
So, thank you for watching.
