I mean, my dad was uh Navy for 20 plus years. I I've had older brothers that served. So, I I mean, I'm I'm in that same boat with you through and through. I agree with you through and through.

So, I'm gonna I want you I want you to hear this and and know that I'm not attacking you. Um, but the this country was the the large business that this country was built on was slave trade.

Uh ever like trickle we we keep on hearing about trickle down economics. It does not work. We have not seen it work in the 60 years that they've been trying to do it.
Can you elaborate more on corporations um being individuals and influencing us on what that all entails and how that >> So, Citizens United uh was a Supreme Court decision uh that basically uh gave the gave corporations personhood.
uh they it deemed that uh well prior to that there was another case that uh deemed that money is political speech.
money in money and politics is political speech. And the Citizens United uh basically stated that corporations can't be denied from uh that the that money from corporations can't be denied uh being paid to politicians because that would be hindering that corporation's political speech. Uh it basically treats that corporation as a person having having a vote or having a speech. Uh and that's why we have such a an issue of super PACs and corporations giving massive amounts of money to politicians in to do their bidding.
We t like most of us on the left are trying to get rid of Citizens United, trying to get that overturned. Um, a lot of us are the the Democrats are the only ones who like put in any kind of legislation to try to like reform the the uh the money and politics.
Uh, but yeah, it's >> as simple as >> it's very very toxic.

That's not beneficial.

I think it's important to look past that. So, I'm talking like Reuters, uh, Newsweek. Um, basically what ground news will show you, um, is where they all land and maybe look towards like an AP article. Look at a Newsweek article, something that lands maybe a little bit left. I'm not telling you to go all the way blue to like Huff Post and stuff like that. Look at more neutral sources that just rely on news. And honestly, World News is really good at doing that because you can see from the outside looking in. And I think one of the best features of it is the blind spot feature where it will show you things that are being heavily reported by one side but not the other.
