[00:00:06]In the case of neutralization reaction, you find that bases react with acids to give salt and water.

[00:00:19]That means bases are neutralized by acids and acids are neutralized by bases.

[00:00:29]That means there is mutual neutralization.

[00:00:35]Their identity acid's identity is neutralized by bases and bases identity is neutralized by acids.

[00:00:53]So, such type of chemical reactions are called neutralization reaction as one example I am giving. Example is sodium hydroxide reacts with nitric acid.

[00:01:17]And nitric acid, that is HNO3, it is an acid. It is also called hydrogen nitrate. Hydrogen nitrate, that means non-metallic nitrates are acids and that's why HNO3, which is nitric acid or hydrogen nitrate, is an acid and it neutralizes the identity of sodium hydroxide, which is a base, and sodium hydroxide neutralizes the identity of HNO3, which is an acid.

[00:02:05]And sodium nitrate, you know, it is a metallic nitrate. Metallic nitrates are salt.
