The President directed that no stone be left unturned to bring the children back safely, with a non-kinetic approach prioritized but kinetic options available if necessary. They'll just be crying. All what they want to hear is that we are our children. But we've been assuring them that God willing the federal government is doing the best they can. They can to bring them back and we'll bring them back safely. And then we sympathize with the one that they lost their life and your excellency like I was telling them that I was pleading with them. We asked one or two of them they will talk and then the two the three other that in this surrounding area will also talk.
Then you will talk and deliver your message so that we will be able to pacify them. and with you here now it will now give them confidence that there is hope at the end of the tunnel. Thank you very much Baba.

Honorable Commissioner, Commissioner for Education, >> Your Excellency, the Chief of Staff of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the National Security Advisors, please permit me to stand on the already established protocol, Minister of Defense, sorry because we have the old of Nigeria here present and as a result of that the governor said I should appreciate all of you for coming.
The tragedy struck on 15th day of May and it devastated every one of us in state. Since that day, I've been coming to this place almost every day. But we are still hoping and we are believing and trusting God. And we believe that you're coming today. The seeing of our children is at hand by the grace of God.
But there are some issues, one, two, three issues that want we want to bring to your notice. Number one, Oral State has a population of about 10 million people.
have a population of about 10 million people with a land mass of 28,454 kilometers.
The federal reserve that we are talking about has a an area of 342,461 that is 12.92% of the total area covered by a state and by this we are in trouble across this all over the state because this tourist reserve cost cut across about eight local government of state and share boundary with qual state and this This is where problems are coming day in day out. Sometimes ago 10 guard were killed there 2015 this happened. I'm also aware I'm also aware of a program going on by the federal military government by the federal government about fencing of vulnerable schools across the nation because about two weeks ago there was a meeting with the national h defense something with the commissioners of education in in Nigeria wherein we are told that vulnerable schools will be fenced by the federal government with The people of O state and the government of O state want you to expedite action on this so that vulnerable schools can be expensed. Thank you very much. We have 686 public schools in the state, two over 2,000 primary schools. We want you to come to our aid by fencing the ones that are vulnerable to these people. Thank you and God bless you.
Hello.
Minister Mr. Prophet Security.
You need to keep Come easy.
We standing on the existing protocols for the sake of time.
and the federal power and the state that will come to our rescue because this issue is more than what we can bear. All the villagers we they have run away. Nobody can go to the farm with peace of mind. So please all those things that uh former speakers have said please please assist us and as you are saying please establish a military base in this zone to guide us. So we pray that as God saves you safely to this place. We pray that God will grant you journey masses to a various destination and we pray for the president of the country that may God guide him in the right path. We also thank the governor and the local government representatives that may God continue to be with you and guide you in the right way. Thank you very much sir.

since 56.
She was 56 in on April 23rd and this experience has been too much for that age. I can't communicate her for 17 days. The only thing I see is the video and the gun that is on her neck.
If she's released, I know other teachers will be released too. and det for our children. I am begging in the name of the almighty God that whatever it will take, whatever sacrifice that we are going to make to get these people released, please let us make it. Thank you very much, sir.

>> No, it's okay. It's okay. It's okay.
uh cabin is the families and the entire community of uh local government.
I'm here today unfortunately on a sad note.
Not to greet, say hello, celebrate salah, but to convey Mr. President's deep sorrow over what has happened or what happened a couple of weeks ago in this community.
Even in conveying Mr. President's message, words are not sufficient.
Mr. President is deeply troubled.
I am here with a very strong powerful delegation.
You can almost say the entire security team of this country.
The NSA is here seated to my left.
the minister of defense to my right, the IG of police, the entire police force in Nigeria is seated here >> on a Sunday afternoon.
You have your minister who is one of you, Minister of Power is here.
The special advisor to Mr. President Sun is here.
and many others. Your senators are here, members of the house.
Mr. President has asked me to deliver or asked us to deliver a very special message.
What is that message?
He has asked me to tell you that you are not alone.
He has asked me to tell you that he his administration and indeed the country stands with you.
He wants me to let you know that he gives with you that he shares your pain and your sorrow.
His administration condemns in no uncertain terms and very strong terms this dastedly act.
He has indeed given directives to all security agencies and the and uh the command as a command commander and chief to rescue our children.
These efforts have been intensified and being coordinated.
Mr. President asked me to tell you that he is leaving no stone, no pebble, no grain of sand unturned.
that whatever it takes, whatever it takes, our children bad will be brought back home.
>> He is monitoring all the activities as a commander and chief. He is given all the necessary directives and by the grace of the almighty God your children and teachers will be back in your arms.
Mr. President said to tell you that he saw some of the videos of some of uh those in captivity.
Ask him pleaded with passion for the government not to use violence.
He has watched. He has listened. His approach is going to be intelligencedriven.
He will use everything like I said possible do everything possible adopting the non-kinetic approach but without compromising and being ready to use the kinetic approach where necessary.
All options are on the table but the ultimate goal and objective is that all the children come home all so ladies and gentlemen our parents family brothers sisters of those students once again are your president's message to you. You Mr. President has further directed the specialized units with experience in hostage rescue beep deployed with local intelligence network and community leaders.
support systems and groups including trauma counseling are being mobilized to affect affected families safety.
He said I should stress this to you.
The safety of every Nigerian child and citizen remains his priority.
and that of this administration.
We have heard the request that a forest reserve be foreign man that request will be taken back to government and I'm sure It will be acted upon. In fact, it is being acted upon already.
But it is good that you have emphasized it. But that is already being done.
On the issue of the schools, we are aware or not. We are aware of the fact that the same schools initiative mostly concentrated in the north needs a project to be presented here in the south.
We will not wait for an incident such as this to happen again.
Whatever holes, whatever, whatever holes we need to plug to make sure that these kind of incidents both in the south and in the north does not wear it ugly head again will be done.
I want to once again speak to the families.
Your grief cannot be described.
It's undescribable.
If I tell you that I understand your grief, I probably will be lying to you.
I only understand it to a minimal extent.
When we walked in there and I say, you know, when we walked in there, the shared grief, the lamentations, the crying of a parents of a family was enough.
We had to hold back tears ourselves.
Oh, >> be rest assured your wife det's mother and uh praise everything is going to turn out just right.
This will be a moment one day in the near future, even though the trauma might still be a little bit present, that you all sit around the table with your families having dinner and reminiscing with joy that they are back home with you, you having dinner together.
God bless you all.
God be with you.
Mr. President King shore.
is suffering.
Take care. See me situation alone.
for my father like me.
Like I Look back.
I Minister of Defense, President by a ship. Thank you very much.
>> This is the outside broadcast of the Nigerian television authority NTA. We are coming to you live at Uri local government area of OO state where the federal government delegation led by a chief of staff to the president Bola Tinobu honorable Fei Bajab is here to sympathize with the family of >> our family members distinguished ladies and gentlemen.
First of all, we thank Almighty God.
It is well.
It is well.
The good God is in control.
>> Evil will never win.
>> Amen.
>> Evil cannot subdue us.
>> Amen.
>> We will overcome.
>> Amen.
>> The chief of staff delivered Mr. president's powerful message and I stand by that.
But I will also add to assure you that indeed Nigerians are with you.
This moment of grief, this moment of sorrow, the entire country is exactly feeling the same that we have seen today. here.
We will never forget this. This is a new law. We have not seen this type of evil deed like what happened in this community taking small little children almost Nazeri attacking three schools at a go.
It's terrible.
But this is the moment we all come together as one. The entire security sector of Nigeria is standing. As you can see here, I'm here. The chief of defense, I mean, Minister of Defense is here. The Inspector General of Police is here. We represent the security sector in Nigeria. We have been having sleep late night. We have been grieving. We have been fighting.
And I can assure you, we probably will not tell you what we are doing, but we are working. We will never leave this thing. We'll get to the end of it. We'll get solutions. We will bring back your loved ones.
We can give you that assurance.
Your sacrifice especially what I heard the professor what you said will not go in vain. Be proud of yourself and be proud of your wife.
You are great people. You are great Nigerians and there are so many people like you across.
We continue to stand by one another. We will fight for one another. We will defeat evil. We will never allow them.
>> No, it will not happen. Mr. President is strong. Mr. President is doing wonderful strong things that will help us to overcome these problems. Most of these things we inherited it. It's not today.
These evil people have been with us for two decades or more.
But they are on their way out. I can assure you. Maybe that's the reason why sometimes you see this type of extremism.
Yesterday I was with Mr. President.
Incidentally, the issue of forest gas came up. He directed that we must establish for arrested forest gas of minimum of 1,000 from the first week of June and we are going to do that immediate after we go back to Abuja.
We are going to do it in collaboration with the state government and we also want to acknowledge the you know role of the governor. has been very well good and at the same time the local communities this forest gas will come from you and we are going to expedite it you will start seeing action even more the minister of defense is here and I'm also sure he will talk about the possibility of adding phys physical presence of our military in this community we will not leave the this place without specific ific actions. We have listened to you and we can tell you, we assure you, we are going to take action. God bless you and may God continue to be with you.
Thank you very much.
>> Am I not your best friend?
My best friend, mother.
Okay. Yes. Before the the minister of defense says a word, let me just because I specifically asked for the parents of the the three children who unfortunately were killed.
I asked because the president asked me to specifically ask for them.
>> Yes.
Mr. President Okay.
Ew.
Mr. President, Mr. President for let me say let me tell you how serious this matter is we have children who are 2 years old two they have been captured so they're not even you can't even call them kids as such you they are infants which speaks to what the NS was saying earlier, he called it exactly what it is, evil.
Evil. Pure and simple.
For anyone to to to do this for even teenagers is evil. You cannot imagine for two for two year old infants.
He will console you.
>> I cannot console you enough. The president cannot console you enough. It is only God that can comfort you and he will comfort you.
Thank you very much.
>> Thank you very much, sir. Thank you.
>> I'm sure we all know that the president means well for all of us and particularly since this incident occurred.
It has been sleepless nights for Mr. president and for all of us sitting down here because as Nigerians any Nigerian that is affected is concerned because we equally have children, we equally have people in our villages. So we know how it feels and we feel your pain.
We have listened to your demands, to your requests, to your appeals and just to assure you that members of the armed forces, the police and other security agencies will continue to work very hard until all the children and everyone that has been captured both here and everywhere in Nigeria is returned home safely.
We are together with you.
We feel your pain.
And our prayers are with those that have lost their loved ones.
And please, our appeal is that the security forces cannot do this alone.
We need your cooperation also because you know the terrain, you know the areas. Our appeal is if you see anything that is strange, anybody that is new, people coming around walking endlessly within your communities that you have never seen, please report as quickly as possible.
Especially when you see people coming in to buy food in large quantities, coming to buy bread in large quantities, coming to do one or two things, please don't keep quiet. It is our responsibility to report this as quickly as possible so that the members of the security forces can take action.
We have also listening on your request for the establishment of uh of Ford operating base here. We'll go back and handle that as quickly as possible so that this place can have more security.
But I can assure you as we are sitting down here both in the sky and on land we are watching what is going on around here and as quickly as possible we are going to get them. Let us continue to pray together. Let's continue to unite.
It's not a time to blame anybody. It's a time for unity. You are a strong community. We have driven around. We have seen how resilient you are and God is with you. God will continue to strengthen us. Their intention is to put fear among us and to put division so that you think the government is not doing right or people don't care about you. The president and all the team in Abuja and everywhere cares about what happens here because you to us you're all family. So it is important on the issue of the infrastructure that we have seen. I know the local government, the government, the federal government will do something to assist you to make sure that this place is better than we have seen it. But I want to encourage us all to please remain very strong. God is with us and we shall we shall succeed.
Thank you and God bless you all. Thank you.
President Sir, let's go. Let's go.
The federal government delegation has given assurance to the people of that the abducted sue papers will be united with their families.
As rescue operations are still ongoing with security operatives intensifying operations to ensure the kidnapped victims safe return with their families.
The charge is for all to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious activities noticed in their environment to security agencies to fortoall a recurrence of this sad incident.
The abduction has led many residents to leaving the community due to fear of their safety.
happened.
And with that, we have come to the end of the transmission.
We'll now continue with the network service of the NTA in Abuja.
Good afternoon.
