[00:09:05]I think we have not been sleeping but I want everybody I will send a note to all of us today since this event has happened the federal government have been having sleepless night so also the state government so also the local government I remember in the last 10 days I've been calling going to IDON to meet with the D the ADSS virtually every two two days with some community leaders everybody here we console with the family the family of the victims we consult with all of you the president Federal Republic of Nigeria to show how devastated the situation is in his He has sent this powerful delegation and that shows that the president you see there is another thing you may have a house you may have your home comfortably sleeping you won't know who will come and attack you the next day even in a very secure society so it's not that the government wants this nobody pay for this kind of situation but what has happened has happened for the MSA and uh representing the president also chief of staff minister for defense I can see the IG everybody present here we are very very grateful but I want to tell you give you one or two points there is no good adequate infrastructure here no communication infrastructure if you look at no good roads please we want the government to look into that also the forest is porous there is nothing in the forest at all I will suggest if the government can had a brigade we know in addition to the present security um formation we have here lastly the forest has been established can we do something about it with immediate effect.

[00:14:09]But there are some issues, one, two, three issues that want we want to bring to your notice. Number one, Oral State has a population of about 10 million people.

[00:14:31]The federal reserve that we are talking about has a an area of 342,461 that is 12.92% of the total area covered by a state and by this we are in trouble across this all over the state because this tourist reserve cost cut across about eight local government of state and share boundary with qual state and this This is where problems are coming day in day out. Sometimes ago 10 guard were killed there 2015 this happened. I'm also aware I'm also aware of a program going on by the federal military government by the federal government about fencing of vulnerable schools across the nation because about two weeks ago there was a meeting with the national h defense something with the commissioners of education in in Nigeria wherein we are told that vulnerable schools will be fenced by the federal government with The people of O state and the government of O state want you to expedite action on this so that vulnerable schools can be expensed. Thank you very much. We have 686 public schools in the state, two over 2,000 primary schools. We want you to come to our aid by fencing the ones that are vulnerable to these people. [00:28:57]Mr. President has asked me to deliver or asked us to deliver a very special message.

[00:29:16]He has asked me to tell you that he his administration and indeed the country stands with you.

[00:29:56]He has indeed given directives to all security agencies and the and uh the command as a command commander and chief to rescue our children.

[00:30:21]Mr. President asked me to tell you that he is leaving no stone, no pebble, no grain of sand unturned.

[00:30:34]that whatever it takes, whatever it takes, our children bad will be brought back home.

[00:30:52]>> He is monitoring all the activities as a commander and chief. He is given all the necessary directives and by the grace of the almighty God your children and teachers will be back in your arms.

[00:32:14]All options are on the table but the ultimate goal and objective is that all the children come home all so ladies and gentlemen our parents family brothers sisters of those students once again are your president's message to you. You Mr. President has further directed the specialized units with experience in hostage rescue beep deployed with local intelligence network and community leaders.

[00:33:11]support systems and groups including trauma counseling are being mobilized to affect affected families safety.

[00:33:28]The safety of every Nigerian child and citizen remains his priority.

[00:34:23]On the issue of the schools, we are aware or not. We are aware of the fact that the same schools initiative mostly concentrated in the north needs a project to be presented here in the south.

[00:34:51]Whatever holes, whatever, whatever holes we need to plug to make sure that these kind of incidents both in the south and in the north does not wear it ugly head again will be done.

The chief of defense, I mean, Minister of Defense is here. The Inspector General of Police is here. We represent the security sector in Nigeria. We have been having sleep late night. We have been grieving. We have been fighting.

[00:42:22]And I can assure you, we probably will not tell you what we are doing, but we are working. We will never leave this thing. We'll get to the end of it. We'll get solutions. We will bring back your loved ones.

[00:42:40]Your sacrifice especially what I heard the professor what you said will not go in vain. Be proud of yourself and be proud of your wife.

[00:43:59]We are going to do it in collaboration with the state government and we also want to acknowledge the you know role of the governor. has been very well good and at the same time the local communities this forest gas will come from you and we are going to expedite it you will start seeing action even more the minister of defense is here and I'm also sure he will talk about the possibility of adding phys physical presence of our military in this community we will not leave the this place without specific ific actions. We have listened to you and we can tell you, we assure you, we are going to take action. God bless you and may God continue to be with you.

[00:49:37]And our prayers are with those that have lost their loved ones.

[00:49:43]And please, our appeal is that the security forces cannot do this alone.

[00:49:49]We need your cooperation also because you know the terrain, you know the areas. Our appeal is if you see anything that is strange, anybody that is new, people coming around walking endlessly within your communities that you have never seen, please report as quickly as possible.

[00:50:08]Especially when you see people coming in to buy food in large quantities, coming to buy bread in large quantities, coming to do one or two things, please don't keep quiet. It is our responsibility to report this as quickly as possible so that the members of the security forces can take action.

[00:50:23]We have also listening on your request for the establishment of uh of Ford operating base here. We'll go back and handle that as quickly as possible so that this place can have more security.

[00:50:35]But I can assure you as we are sitting down here both in the sky and on land we are watching what is going on around here and as quickly as possible we are going to get them. Let us continue to pray together. Let's continue to unite.

God will continue to strengthen us. Their intention is to put fear among us and to put division so that you think the government is not doing right or people don't care about you. The president and all the team in Abuja and everywhere cares about what happens here because you to us you're all family. So it is important on the issue of the infrastructure that we have seen. I know the local government, the government, the federal government will do something to assist you to make sure that this place is better than we have seen it. But I want to encourage us all to please remain very strong. God is with us and we shall we shall succeed.
