Professional lawn care services typically charge a minimum fee (e.g., $44) for weekly mowing, with bi-weekly services carrying a premium (e.g., 50% increase to $66). Large-scale sod installation projects require significant upfront investment, with costs potentially reaching $12,000 for projects around 4,700 square feet, including material costs, labor, and equipment. Service providers should account for 10% extra sod when purchasing materials to accommodate measurement errors and cutting waste.

4,000 subs, guys.
Thank you.
Uh so yeah, good morning. But uh excited to finally hit that 4,000 mark.
I was really hoping we would do it before the end of May.
And sure enough, we got it. So, everyone who subscribed to help us get to 4,000.
Thank you so much.
Yeah, it's a little bit earlier than what I normally start.
Uh it's like 8:30.
Um but I wanted to, you know, go meet that guy this morning to measure uh facade.
Darn it.
So yeah, hopefully that won't take too incredibly long and I can be on my way in like 30 minutes or So, Heat. Heat.
Heat.
Heat.
Um, we should probably fill this up.
Heat.
Heat.
So no special uh extra stuff like projects today.
aside from uh my weekly property visit.
So, it's just going to be Boeing today.
So, I just had uh someone call and They left a voicemail and the only thing they said was hi blank blank for their name and then their number and then thank you. Like like what am I supposed to do with that? Yes. obviously call you back.
But like my my voicemail specifically states, you know, leave your your name, number, and your service address.
Because too often I was getting people outside my service area and it was frustrating cuz you know I call them and you know be like oh what's the service address. They give it to me and then it's like, "Oh, unfortunately you you are not in my service area."
So, it's like if they give me their address on the on the voicemail, I can like easily look it up and, you know, let's say they're in Parker, which is, I don't know, 20 minutes, 20, 30 minutes away from where I'm at, which I don't service.
You know, I can be like, "Oh, unfortunately, I don't service that area, but here is a company."
I do recommend like I'll shoot him, you know, that text message real quick.
Let's just like, you know, follow directions.
So, my nail cracked. I don't know if you guys can see that.
Cracked like right right there.
And I want to trim it or I want to do something about it, but I don't want to pull the nail cuz then it's just going to like pull the skin that's underneath the nail and that hurts like hell.
There we go.
Heat. Heat.
All right.
get some shoes on. I'll meet you over here.
>> Um something or I'll swap around. Um, something that's strange though is maybe it's the easy thing to fix. The um I noticed this morning when I woke up that the sprinkler out in the back, one of the cycles is just it keeps it keeps going. And I even turned off um the the sprinklers at least turn it into the off section over here on the sprinkler box.
>> Okay.
>> I don't know. I don't know what's going on with that.
>> Okay.
>> Um but it might still be doing it because I'm sure it is probably doing it all night.
So, all about the garage and I don't know.
>> Yeah, I'll meet you back there.
It's in old boxes, so it could be Do you know what zone that is?
>> That's probably I don't know which one is.
It's probably somewhere like midway through.
>> What was that?
>> It's probably somewhere midway through.
I'm not sure which one it is, but it was the one that's basically in the backyard.
It's uh it's more than one zone that's on.
So, it's uh it's not just one zone. It's multiple zones. That's just it's just put I can show you. It's putting water through though. But this up here is a different zone down there. I just saw the other one just through my windows this morning. But I didn't know this was above one too cuz this is a different zone than I should have the bigger one back here.
This isn't coming up all the way.
>> At least I think it is.
>> Yeah. Yeah, if those aren't coming up all the way, it's probably just cuz multiple zones are running and water pressure.
Okay. Wednesday, Saturday.
What is some of the reasons to be doing that.
>> Huh?
>> What are some of the reasons to be doing that?
>> I I honestly don't know. I mean, the way it's set up right now, this shouldn't be running.
>> Yeah.
>> Unless maybe a valve is stuck open. Like it tried it tried shutting itself off, but it got stuck open and it's just been going.
Um, so one thing I can't I can't really focus on this now.
>> Um, but one thing you could do is probably just shut off the water until I have time to actually come out and probably inspect the valve. Um, cuz I'd imagine the valve box for this is probably going to be in the back somewhere since you have so many zones.
There's probably one up front and maybe another one unless you know where they are.
>> Might be in the very back here. Could that be the same problem you had with the other one where maybe this wasn't turned off maybe?
>> Yeah, it it's I I think it's something with the valve cuz that's set to off.
So, it should not be going right now.
And yeah, if that valve is is stuck open, then >> All right, I'll I'll turn it off.
>> Okay.
It's probably been running all night, >> huh?
>> It's probably been running all night.
>> Could be. Huh.
Um, all right. So, let me know like I mean how far would you want to come out?
>> Well, it's right based on what the damage is.
>> Something like this. Leave it alone or something like this. Actually, >> this I think might be okay. It might take a few years to probably like fully come back. But if we maybe focus on um >> well if we focus I guess on the bad strip I guess it's like this like over >> could maybe do this and then kind of cut in a little bit.
>> Yeah, >> but something like this might eventually come back. Um especially if we focus on uh airating and overseating in the spring and fall.
I think it's good to understand what the cost is going to be if we did the whole, you know, thing like this.
>> Okay.
>> And that way it's like, well, okay, how whatever startling price that is and, you know, do we pull back from that?
>> All right. So, come in here and then just kind of like >> like that.
>> Yeah.
>> Just pretty much everything here.
>> Yeah.

A lot of this if it takes time to come back through seating and things again, it's more of HOA issues.

I'm here next week, but I've got some training in a couple of days, I won't be able to be at the house.
>> Okay.
Uh if I I probably won't be able to Wait, tomorrow's Tomorrow's Friday.
Never mind. Uh if I can't make it out on Saturday cuz I have some cleanups to do on Saturday.
>> Um we'll try and shoot for like Monday or Tuesday, whenever I whenever your mowing day is. I could probably, >> you know, mow and then, you know, maybe take a look at the the sprinklers. And >> I think just for coordination, let's see. We're not training this. It's it's downtown.
>> Um, let's see.
My company got bought by another company and it's just chaos right now.
>> Yeah.
Um, so Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, for some reason, it's three days of all day training downtown. So I'd be here Monday and I could be here Monday or Friday for coordination.
>> Okay.
>> Um, >> would would wife or kids be home? Cuz all I need to do is probably just turn on the water and then >> I I wouldn't need anyone else.
>> Yeah.
>> Okay. Or you could show her how to do it and I could just knock and she knows how to do it. Oh, >> she does. Okay. Good.
>> You learned it's the green one.
>> All right. Um, so yeah, give me I don't know. G give me a few days to come up with this because this is kind of a big project. So I just want to make sure I I source the sod correctly and, you know, get get numbers right.
>> Okay.
>> And um yeah, we'll we'll just kind of go from there.
>> Okay.
>> But yeah. All right. Have a safe trip.
>> Appreciate it.
>> You're welcome. Um, for invoicing, I go on your website or >> Oh, yeah. Uh, so when you I'll text you a link. You can securely stir store a credit card on file.
>> Uhhuh.
>> And then so I uh I invoice every single week. So every Sunday you'll get an invoice for the previous week.
>> Okay.
>> And then I automatically charge cards the following Wednesday.
>> Okay. So when you add a card, you'll get an invoice this Sunday and then I I'll automatically charge next Wednesday for mowing and the grubex and then it'll just kind of continue like that for the >> for the season for if you if we go with this project. There's there's probably going to be like a 33% down payment just for like material costs and all that stuff.
>> Yeah.
>> So >> helps your front. I get it. Okay.
>> Yeah. Okay.
>> All right. Thanks.
>> All right. You bet. See you.
All right. Yeah, this one uh this one I am definitely going to need help.
There is no way I will be able to do it by myself.
Yeah. Could you imagine having to do a solid install like that by yourself?
That would just be nuts.
Like I would probably request like a few Venezuelans to give me a hand, give them like all the grunt work, you know, shoveling old sod and all that stuff.
All right.
These are the measurements I took of the area. Can you add up all of them and give me proper square footage?
Should I account for any extra spaces like incorrect measurements And there is a small patch we need to get. So like uh 10% extra sod purchase or something.
Question mark.

Well, Well, that uh that saw I was having uh chat GPT help me kind of uh help me with uh doing doing pricing for sod like a a project that big cuz I've done saw install before but it's only been you know like I don't know maybe 100 square F feet.
And this is orders of magnitude more.
Like we're talking pallets of Saab.
So yeah. So, based on kind of what I was using last night with chat GPT, uh, this saw install could potentially be almost $12,000.
which is absolutely bananas.
Like that's that's a big project, you know.
All right, finally we can get into mowing.

But yeah, yesterday I got I think it was like almost 19,000 steps in which is a lot.
Like I have no idea how many miles that is, but it's got to be what? Six or seven miles maybe. I don't know, maybe more.

And that's just going to make it like what, five, six o'clock by the time I'm done.

My minimum mowing charge is $44 period.
In addition to that, for bi-weekly mowing, there is a 50% premium added on to the quoted price.
So, you are probably looking at $66 every other week period.
There are a couple reasons for that.
like it takes away a full spot for someone who wants weekly and it's also lost revenue.
compared to going with every week.
