Uh, a new day, a new adventure.
And uh today I'm going to Trollam bike trollam uh to try out the new KTM 1390 Super Adventure Evo S or S Evo.
Um, I tried this bike a couple of weeks back. I hope I'm on the wrong way here.
Uh, I tried this bike a couple of weeks ago. Uh, but it was just a little short ride for a couple of minutes. And that little test ride really impressed me.
And so I thought I'd do a little more in-depth test.
Uh right now I am in a town called Boroas or a little above Boros and I have uh about 85 kilometers to go. H shouldn't I turn there.
I wonder if I'm on the right path here.
I think I'm going to stop and check the GPS.
So I'm not going all the way a long way in the wrong direction.

Yeah. Anyway, so uh I tried this week uh two weeks ago and I really was impressed with it. So therefore, I'm going to do a little more in-depth test ride.
I thought it was actually so good that it might be my next bike. I've only had this for a couple of months, so we'll probably not change bike today, but you never know.
So, yeah, that was 1 kgm, but it was not 1290 or 1390. Did I say 1390 before?

Okay, so here we are on the KTM 1319 S 1390 Super Adventure Evo S.
173 horses of pure power.
This is the Evo version with the automatic.
Um let's see mode. No, we are going back there. There. There we are. Now we have neutral and we have as in automatic I believe.
Okay, let's go.
Very, very smooth from zero.
Uh, first feeling, the seat is really hard, but that's my main concern on every bike.
Not that it's hard, but that it's uh shaped, not a really good shape on it.
Very smooth gearing. Shifting gears very smooth when uh when it's not under load just like the BMW. It will be a bit bit of a comparison between the BMW and [ __ ] I think I just pushed uh that one is the blinkers.
uh a bit a little bit of a comparison between the BMW and this and also a little bit of the Ducati.
I would say pretty good wind protection.
Very even wind flow so far.
Going a little bit faster. Shifting is very smooth and uh wind protection is also very good at at least 105 km also in 120 still very good wind protection. That was my main concern on the Ducati.
Again there will be comparison between the Ducati and the BMW.
Uh a little bit uh vibrations in the seat.
Not a major thing, but a little.
And uh yeah, downshifts very good.
Let's see where I'm going. I'm a little bit afraid it's going to start raining.
I'm going to let them reach a little bit distance.

It will easy easily get the front wheel up. I didn't notice what gear it was, but I would could I can really imagine owning this.
There are a little bit more vibrations than both the Ducati and the BMW, but it's not an annoying thing.
Brakes. Yeah, brakes are good as expected.
I wonder if I'm going that way. I think I'm going that way. I need to look what button to press the blinkers. Is the menu button corner?
Yeah, still very smooth in this that speed the wind.
It sure is a lot more racy than the BMW, that's for sure.
It's also more racy than uh H. Wait a minute. Isn't there speed traps here? Uh it is more racy than the Ducati. Also, you have the ready to race to live up to here.
But again, I can really see myself owning this in the future.
I mean, this is it's 70. It's you can notice the vibrations. You have excellent wind flow.
The the major concern I have about the the KTMs is the electronics can be a bit well, you have problems with it.
I did it on my KTMs both actually or three actually that I have have had. Um very very smooth when stopping.
The g the gear shifts are incredibly good and so nice to drive off.
Uh yeah, shifting a little bit when you when you uh load it a little bit with g with a gas, you can feel the shifting, but it's it's nothing nothing bad.
It's not like a modern car where you where you don't feel them at all. You feel it, but it's not a problem. It's still better than I can also use the the foot shifter for it's holy smoke. That is high up.
And here we have also that is up. That should be down with the fingers.
Down to four. Down to three. Yeah.
Up to four.
Down to three.
Yeah, it can easily go up on the back wheel at the third gear.
Yeah. What can I say? This bike is a very big contender to to my next choice of bike.
It's a bit sad. I just recently bought BMW just a couple of months ago and uh yeah well I love it. I actually absolutely love it. But this is on another level when it comes to sporting there. It could could have uh put one gear down.
I can do that here.
This Yeah, this is such a great bike.
I never thought I would say that about KTM again.
Well, actually, I do like KTMs.
It's just that I have a few electrical issues with mine, so that's why I I'm a little bit afraid of them. But they also they always run great. And I also have been happy with the performance.
Uh, and this windscreen is, as I mentioned, really good.
And uh well, it has 173 horsepower in uh two cylinders, so it makes it a lot of fun.
One gear down, two gears down, and it almost teleports you.
Could I see myself going to the Alps here? Is that a mosque?
Could I see myself going to the Alps with this bike? Well, I absolutely could. The wind protection, as I said again, I'm repeating myself here, but the wind protection is just great. The bikes the I'm just babbling here. It is an absolutely great bike. No doubt about that.
I really hate that I'm considering trading mine for this.
I only had it for a couple of months.
I'm so stupid.
That's the worst thing when you buy a bike. The first thing you start to do is looking for a replacement.
I shouldn't do that.
Damn, this is a nice bike. Let's see.

And it you can easily ride it really slow. Slow maneuverability.
I think the automatic bikes are the future.
Some people say, "Well, I want to ride my bike. I don't want to I don't want an automatic." But for me, it's a no-brainer.
After I started using it, I never go manual.
The height is uh I would say it's a little bit probably not lower than the BMW, but it is a more narrow seat, so you can reach the ground better in because of that.
And now I have the preload set at I believe it's 100%. I think he said that.
So, uh yeah.
that you have the automatic uh lowering on the BMW.
So, uh if if you use choose that option, if I put it this way, if I was buying a bike today, I would probably go for this one mainly because of the price and because of the the joy factor.
Let's put that off there.
Yeah, that was a little bit of a quick quick review and from me it gets two thumbs up. Absolutely.
Uh yeah, the H that should go off by itself, right?
Yeah. and the steering lock are activated.
Okay, I would say this was a pleasant experience. Ciao.
Okay, ladies and gentlemen, uh to sum up this little test ride, uh comparing the two or the free actually, uh I got a little what you say excited and uh when I was riding it. So, I thought I'd do a little after evaluation here. Let's see. Where is he going? He's going straight ahead. Okay, thank you.
So, yeah. Uh, where was I? Yeah, carried away.
So, the KTM comparing it to this one, I got to say it was again a very big positive surprise.
The gearing, the shifting gears in automatic mode was perfect.
The wind protection was excellent and uh well comparing the price.
Well, obviously the BMW will be a lot more expensive. I'm going to close my vents on the pan because this weather is not so nice. Started raining a lot.
Uh yeah, the price I would say I don't I actually I don't know what a fully equipped uh Evo would cost, so I can't say that. But the BMW is like uh I would say 350,000 Swedish crowns. That's uh 35,000 or something like that.
uh the BMW I'm pretty sure it will be a lot cheaper and also one thing to consider is the value when you have had it for a year and you have been riding I don't know maybe a,000 uh Swedish meal 10,000 km it will probably lose a lot more value than the BMW W.
So, uh, you buy the BMW a lot more expensive, but you also get more when you sell it.
But, uh, if I would buy a new bike today, I would probably look for a used KTM 1390 Adventure Super Adventure S Evo.
It's just that good.

Uh but anyways, it was a really pleasant bike and if you have the possibility to try one out for yourself, I suggest you do it because it's very, very good.
