This video illustrates how unreasonable leadership and workplace bullying can destroy business relationships and personal lives. In the first story, a second-generation restaurant heir demanded farmers cut prices in half, leading to business failure and his demotion. In the second story, a senior employee bullied a new employee, resulting in her brother breaking up with her. In the third story, a wife's infidelity and financial exploitation led to divorce and legal consequences. In the fourth story, a husband's infidelity and affair with his mistress resulted in divorce and legal action. In the fifth story, a husband's attempt to kill his wife with sleeping pills led to attempted murder charges and prison sentences. The common theme is that unethical behavior, manipulation, and abuse of power ultimately lead to negative consequences for the perpetrators.

The Consequences of What the Second-Generation Heir to a High-End Restaurant DidAdded:
[music] Revenge Films.
My name is Anaho. I'm married to my husband, Qatara, and run a farm. We don't have children yet. Our family has been full-time farmers for generations with fairly extensive land and years of expertise. My parents are still actively working, and the four of us work hard at farming together. Recently, our vegetables have been featured as local specialty vegetables, increasingly appearing on local TV and radio. We often hear feedback from people who've eaten them saying it was delicious. As a result, we started receiving offers not only from restaurants within the prefixure, but from outside the prefixure as well. However, I made it a policy to decline such offers. The former president had bowed his head and asked us after all. The former president of the high-end restaurant was particular about ingredients.
>> I would really like to use Inaho's vegetables.
>> He even came all the way to our home and bowed his head. My family was moved by his enthusiasm, and we deliver most of our harvested vegetables to that high-end restaurant. And as our vegetables gained a reputation, the former president's high-end restaurant expanded to three locations.
>> Many customers come specifically for Inah's vegetables. We've been able to SUCCEED THIS FAR THANKS TO your vegetables.
>> The former president often said this.
Though there was a difference in our positions as president and contract farmer, we had an equal relationship.
Just when I thought things would continue going well, the former president suddenly passed away. He wasn't old enough to die of natural causes. He was still quite young. It was so sudden that the workplace fell into chaos. But eventually, the former president's only son ended up taking over the high-end restaurant. Will that rumored son really be okay? This was probably everyone's honest feeling. The man who became the second generation president had once joined his father's high-end restaurant as an employee, but couldn't properly handle it. And even at 30 years old, he spent his time idly playing around and begging money from his wealthy family. The line he said when he threw in the towel and quit his job was incredible.
I'M THE FUTURE PRESIDENT, SOMEONE who gives orders.
>> Apparently, that line was his catchphrase, and he said it constantly.
This was the talk about the heir to a famous local restaurant. I figured the gossip must have been exaggerated somewhat, but I would later learn it was worse than the rumors. The second generation president of the high-end restaurant suddenly called our place.
>> Cut the price of all VEGETABLES IN HALF STARTING TOMORROW. Farmers without contracts are just peasants. Obviously, you won't refuse, right?
>> No, I refuse. Half price is absolutely impossible. In that case, we'll stop delivering to all three locations.
>> Huh? For real?
>> That's the kind of exchange we ended up having. However, immediately after the second generation president took over, surprisingly few problems occurred.
Contrary to expectations, the management of the high-end restaurant seemed reasonably smooth for the time being.
That's because the former president had completely set the business on track.
There were veteran employees and excellent suppliers. A flow had been established where things would go reasonably well, even if left alone.
Besides, regular customers who become attached don't suddenly leave just because the president changed. The recognition and reputation were inherited. Since the restaurant and taste were all the same, it was natural that customers didn't leave. It seems surprisingly okay. If the second generation president is satisfied just being a figurehead, maybe things will work out. That's what I thought, but gradually bad rumors started to be heard. The second generation president had originally worked as an employee at the high-end restaurant, so there were many employees he was familiar with. He apparently held grudges against those who had trained him in the past, making unreasonable complaints and yelling at them. It seems he even forcibly fired some long-term veteran employees.
Naturally, the workplace morale hit rock bottom. They were [music] short staffed, too. As a result, dirt became noticeable in the restaurant, and complaints about customer service became audible. But that wasn't all. The second generation president's catchphrase [music] was cost reduction. Apparently laying off the veteran employees with high salaries was part of reducing labor costs. Next, he set his sights on our premium vegetables. In the middle of the night, I suddenly got a phone call and the first thing said was, "FARMERS ARE SUCH GREEDY BASTARDS, AREN'T THEY? YOU GUYS, YOU'RE WAY TOO GREEDY. Such a high purchase price for mere vegetables is ridiculous."
>> Who is this rude person? I was surprised when a man suddenly started talking to me in such casual language.
Um, who is this?
>> HUH? OUR PLACE IS THE ONLY ONE BUYING YOUR VEGETABLES, RIGHT? THEN FIGURE IT OUT. JEEZ, FARMERS ARE INCOMPETENT.
>> Is this the second generation president?
>> That's right.
>> I don't think people can normally tell unless you introduce yourself. I'm not LIKE YOU LOWINCOME FARMERS. I'M THE MANAGER OF A HIGH-END RESTAURANT. MY TIME IS VALUABLE. SO, WHAT'S WRONG WITH GETTING STRAIGHT TO [clears throat] THE POINT? AND DON'T YOU DARE TALK BACK TO ME WHEN I'M BUYING YOUR VEGETABLES.
>> I was shocked by such terrible words.
>> LISTEN, YOU GUYS GOT SPECIAL TREATMENT BECAUSE YOU WERE BUDDY BUDDY WITH MY OLD MAN, the former president, right?
>> Huh? What are you talking about?
DON'T PLAY DUMB. THE ONLY REASON HE BOUGHT ME VEGETABLES AT THOSE prices was because you sweet talked the OLD MAN INTO BUYING THEM HIGH, RIGHT? I KNOW YOU CAN BUY MUCH CHEAPER ONES AT LOCAL SUPERMARKETS.
>> We're particular about quality.
>> There's no SUCH THING AS QUALITY IN VEGETABLES. THEY'RE ALL THE SAME. A RADISH IS A RADISH. A carrot is a carrot.
>> Angry sounds echoed. Even radishes have varieties and there are differences in quality things called premium vegetables.
>> SHUT UP. DON'T TALK BACK TO ME, THE PRESIDENT, YOU PEASANT. WHAT I'M SAYING IS YOUR VEGETABLES ARE TOO EXPENSIVE.
CUT THE PRICE OF ALL VEGETABLES IN HALF STARTING TOMORROW. FARMERS without contracts ARE NOTHING BUT PEASANTS.
OBVIOUSLY, you won't refuse, right?
>> No, I refuse. Half price is absolutely impossible. In that case, we'll stop delivering to all three locations.
>> Huh? For real? [screaming] >> The second generation president raised his voice in surprise, but quickly returned to his usual tone.
>> Oh, YOU'RE JUST SAYING THAT IN THE HEAT OF THE MOMENT, RIGHT? You just blurted it out. You'll regret it. If you don't cut IT TO HALF PRICE, THE CONTRACT ENDS and then your LIFE ENDS, TOO. GOT IT.
HALF PRICE STARTING TOMORROW.
>> After saying just that, the second generation president hung up without even hearing my response. I was dumbfounded. Of course, we didn't comply with such an unreasonable and one-sided demand. We delivered at the usual price.
The familiar employees handled it normally. I consulted with my husband and parents about the second generation president. Considering potential problems in the future, I contacted the restaurants that had made offers before.
Multiple establishments said they'd want Anahoo's vegetables right away if available. A few days later, the second generation PRESIDENT CALLED AGAIN.
>> WHY DIDN'T YOU CUT ALL THE VEGETABLES TO HALF PRICE?
>> THERE'S NO way I'd accept such an outrageous demand. Just so you know, the selling point of your high-end restaurant is our vegetables. You know, >> I KNOW, DAD. THAT'S WHY THE PRESIDENT HIMSELF IS GRACIOUSLY CALLING YOU. BE GRATEFUL.
>> I'm not grateful at all because if we sell at half price, we operate at a loss.
>> Not being able to sell AT HALF PRICE IS YOUR LACK OF EFFORT. DON'T USE YOUR lack of effort AS AN EXCUSE. BE ASHAMED AS A WORKING ADULT TO MAKE SUCH EXCUSES. MAKE AN effort to SELL AT HALF PRICE WHILE MAINTAINING CURRENT QUALITY.
I refuse. Besides, as I told you the other day, the transaction is over. You agreed that if we don't cut to half price, the contract ends. Well, then, excuse me.
>> What? Are you serious?
>> I'm serious. I hung up the phone. I judged it impossible to continue business with this outrageously unreasonable second generation president. My husband and parents agreed. All three restaurant locations temporarily closed. This was because they could no longer obtain their signature local vegetables. This incident, combined with the firing of veteran employees, apparently made the restaurant unable to continue operating.
The second generation president was apparently torn apart by family and relatives due to the worsening business conditions. Soon, the former president's wife would assume the position of third generation president. She came to bow her head, saying, "Please supply your vegetables to us and explain the situation." By the way, the second generation president would work as a regular employee to straighten out his character. She said he was demoted from president all the way down to the lowest position.
Fresh out of college, I started living alone when I got a job and was enjoying that life. During college, I lived at home with my father, mother, and two brothers who doted on me. But precisely because of that, I talked to my parents about wanting to leave that spoiled world and live on my own strength.
[music] My worried parents initially said I didn't need to go through the trouble of living alone. [music] If I stay here, I'll become a spoiled person.
I don't want to become that kind of person. I persuaded them many times and got permission to live alone. Since I didn't hate studying from my college days and had [music] good grades, I was able to get a job at a major company and I'm now working hard as a new employee.
Since it's a major company, there are various departments with all types of people working and most people treated me kindly. But there was one person, a senior named Kazuko. And I'd [music] heard from before that this senior was a bit of a troublemaker. Still, I thought that as a new employee, I probably wouldn't interact much with her. But perhaps I caught her eye for being fed over by everyone just for being a new employee because Kazuko started constantly picking on me about various things. At first, it was about work, pointing out small mistakes daily.
Thanks to other senior [music] employees seeing this and saying, "You don't need to say that much to a new employee, it settled down." But that apparently didn't sit well with her either. And she started looking at me with terrible eyes. No matter how I was looked at, she was still the senior. And moreover, I was a new employee equivalent to a chick, so I couldn't fight back. And I thought I'd try to avoid involvement as much as possible. However, no matter how much I tried to escape [music] and keep my distance, the senior would approach from her side, look at my lunch, and say, "What is this lunch? You've never cooked before. It's so bad and looks really gross." And looking at my face would say, "You've got your makeup all perfect. You must have no confidence in your bare face. [laughter] Oh, maybe it's plastic surgery."
I'd lived at home until now, so I'd relied almost entirely on my mother and wasn't used to it yet, so it certainly was misshapen, but it was something I'd [music] worked hard to make in my own way. For my face, I just looked at fashion magazines and studied makeup, wanting to be like an actress I admired.
I never had such malice directed at me before, and honestly, my mental health state was gradually getting exhausted.
But if I told my family such things, [music] they'd definitely tell me to come home right away, so I couldn't say it. I wasn't the only new employee who joined, so I didn't understand why she made me her target so much. But one day, other senior employees said, "She doesn't like you because you're cute and sincere. Probably because she doesn't have those things. Don't worry about it.
[music] Tell us if anything happens."
They taught me while saying that to other senior employees, I apparently appear as a sincere junior, but apparently only to Kazuko, I appear [music] as a fake and unlikable junior, which left me with very mixed feelings.
I wanted to stop her malice toward me, but the senior didn't like me whether I did anything or not, [music] so there was nothing I could do. One day, when I came to work as usual, the senior said, "I saw you yesterday."
Apparently, she saw me returning to my apartment. How many decades old is that apartment? You live there in such a shabby apartment. You definitely don't have a boyfriend. By the way, I have one and he's super rich and he's an heir.
When I went to play at his family's house the other day, it was amazing.
She came at me with a torrent of oneupmanship the first thing in the morning. My parents said they'd contract the apartment, but I wanted rent I could definitely pay with the new employees salary. [music] It was a bit old, but close to the station, and everything was nearby, so I liked it. Furthermore, I didn't care at all about the senior's boyfriend. Yet, the senior kept talking to me endlessly about how she'd be a winner in the future. And at the same time, she looked down on me, saying someone like me would end my life being exploited by the company for a cheap salary. Day after day like this, even my heart was about to break. Thinking that, I wanted to go home for the first time in a while and see everyone's faces. So, when I went home after work, my parents and brothers were very happy. [music] But they immediately noticed my face was downcast and asked if something happened. So, I spilled all my pent-up complaints. I thought that saying such things would definitely make my overprotective parents and brothers angry. But I couldn't stop and tears even came out. [music] Hearing my shocking confession, my parents and brothers got angry as expected, saying, "Who the hell is that person?" At that moment, our doorbell rang with a ding-dong. My brothers went to the entrance cursing. "What? It's such an important time." And I could hear my brother talking with the visitor. I couldn't hear clearly, but he was saying things like, "Now's not a good time, and maybe another time." At that moment, I thought the other person's voice sounded familiar, and my heart jumped. Hey, I just brought a gift for your parents.
With an excited voice, before my brother could stop her, the person who entered.
Well, my eyes widened, and to my surprise, who came into the house was Kazuko. The senior pointed at me when she saw my face and said, "Why are you here? Don't tell me you heard about my boyfriend and investigated where he lives. Unbelievable, you stalker. Get out of this house right now." But at that moment, my brother glared at the senior with a terrible face and [music] said, >> "This girl is my sister, though."
>> At that moment, the senior's face turned pale, and she made incoherent sounds while comparing my face and my brothers many times, huh? "But you lived in that shabby apartment, and your lunch was like that common trash lunch." The senior probably wanted to say that there's no way I could be a part of this family when we're from a wealthy household, but I'm not living like that.
But the moment the senior said that, my brother's expression became even colder.
>> Oh, so you were the one harassing my sister so much.
>> No, that that's not right, is it? I treated you like a real little sister, right? She sought my agreement, but there was no way I could agree. And I was also shocked that my brother's girlfriend was the senior. Then the senior said, "I mean, tell me sooner."
"That's right. We're going to be sisters from now on, so we can get along, right?" She said, but my brother said coldly. "Huh? There's no way I'd have that kind of relationship with someone who drove my sister this far."
"Actually, can you leave? I'm breaking up with you."
Hearing my brother's words, the senior clung to my brother with a forced smile, saying, "You're joking, right?" and immediately said to me, "Please help me." But my family wouldn't allow that.
In the end, the senior left dejectedly.
The next day at work, she begged me to somehow get my brother back together with her, but I had no intention of granting such a wish. Furthermore, I learned the senior had apparently been boasting to people around her that she'd marry a wealthy heir, but was dumped by my brother. And when it became known that his sister was me, she was quite ridiculed by those around her. Perhaps her pride was heard as she couldn't even come to the company anymore. And after a while, I heard through rumors that she'd resigned voluntarily. Apparently, the senior had been bragging to people around her regularly. And since she'd been harassing me, too, people said divine punishment had struck, and she was quite laughed at. But well, thanks to that, my brother apologized to me for some reason. And the senior employees who always help me also showed consideration, saying that person got what she deserved, so don't worry. And I'm relieved that I'll be able to work in a more stable environment. I was happy my brother chose me without hesitation over his girlfriend. But from the senior's perspective, it must have ended like drawing the worst lot. Well, I don't [music] intend to sympathize, though.
>> My name is Takuro, a 28-year-old office worker. During my student days, I devoted myself to studying. And after becoming a working adult, it was all work. Perhaps because I attended boys onlylyonly middle and high schools, I've never had a girlfriend. My workplace is also tech industry, so there were almost no female employees. Therefore, I had no opportunities.
In such circumstances, there was an elementary school reunion. I reunited with former classmates and got excited with them. The main topics were promotions, annual income, and savings.
My earnings and savings were quite high.
While doing that, the female classmates also joined the conversation. Now, it moved a romance talk. When I said I'd never had a girlfriend, I was thoroughly teased. On the way home, perhaps due to that flow, my former classmate, Miko, confessed to me, >> "I don't have a boyfriend either. I want to go on a date with you."
>> I decided to try dating. Honestly, at first, I had some anxiety since I'd never dated a woman. I think there were times I went in circles. However, she didn't mind and treated me in a friendly way. I had the impression she's a kind girl. Honestly, in the past, she had dyed hair and a frivolous impression that I didn't really like. But over a dozen years had passed since then, and she'd apparently settled down. Her hair was black and her clothes weren't flashy. She gave a modest impression.
Her looks weren't bad to begin with.
That such a meo was my girlfriend. I was filled with disbelief.
During a date, I asked her, "Why did you call out to me on the way home from the reunion? Among the former classmates, there were guys cooler than me and guys who were good at talking and interesting, right?"
>> Well, that might be true. I used to like that kind of person, too. But as an adult, I realized the most important thing is sincerity. The most important thing is sincerity.
>> Yeah, especially since we're both 28. It wouldn't be strange to start thinking about marriage, right?
>> Well, that's [clears throat] true. Not a few of my peers are married. If we're dating like an extension of student days playing around, being interesting or good-looking might be the top priorities. But if we're thinking about marriage, I think what's important is inner qualities like sincerity and kindness.
>> Inner qualities.
Her opinion seemed reasonable. I was convinced. That's right. Not lying and being trustworthy is definitely the most important thing. With a girlfriend who said sincerity was most important like this, I never imagined we'd end up arguing over her lies. When I went to my in-laws house, I ended up being yelled at by Miko's father.
What do you mean getting my daughter pregnant before marriage? 4 months pregnant, huh? That can't be. I mean, it's only been about 2 months at most since we became that kind of relationship, right?
The stories didn't match, and it became a huge dispute. My girlfriend and I had been dating every week since we started.
Since it was winter, we often went shopping or ate at nearby stores. She apparently doesn't like sports like skiing or snowboarding much. Even just playing nearby was fun since it was my first girlfriend. On our fourth date, she passionately approached me.
>> Hey, I want to date with marriage in mind. There has never been someone as wonderful as you in my life before. I can't even imagine marrying anyone but you. If I'm going to spend my life with someone, I want it to be you. It can only be you. This was the first time in my life I'd received such a passionate approach. Honestly, we'd only been dating about a month, so I thought, "Isn't this too fast?" But my feelings of liking her were genuine. We got engaged. After about 2 weeks, she made a request of me.
>> Hey, I want to introduce you to my parents. I'm already 28, and I want to tell them I have a wonderful partner like you and put their minds at ease.
Indeed, I'm almost 30. If we're getting married and having children, greeting the in-laws sooner might be better.
Honestly, I was confused that things were moving so smoothly. I also felt we'd only been dating a short time, but I was excited about my first girlfriend.
She's thinking so seriously about our future together. I was interpreting it favorably like that. I also decided to greet her parents with a proper view of the future. A week later, I went to greet them at her parents' house. The parents I met for the first time turned stern faces toward me. My girlfriend, who'd arrived earlier, had a pale face and was looking down for some reason.
Her father said to me gravely, "After doing something terrible TO MY DAUGHTER BEFORE MARRIAGE, you have some nerves showing up here so brazenly."
Huh? I was confused, not knowing what he meant. Don't play dumb. I hate guys like you who have not an ounce of sincerity.
But put on a good front. First, I'll have you bow down and apologize. We'll talk about marriage after that. I was shocked by the extremely hostile mood.
Um, I have absolutely no IDEA WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT. Don't play dumb.
What do you mean getting my daughter pregnant before marriage? For months pregnant, huh? That [screaming] can't be. I MEAN, IT'S ONLY BEEN ABOUT 2 MONTHS AT MOST since we became that kind of relationship, right? I can count on one hand how many times my girlfriend and I did that and it was fairly recently. And of course, we used protection. Come to think of it, she didn't want to ski or snowboard. If she knew about her pregnancy, it's natural she wouldn't want to do intense exercise.
still playing dumb. I clearly saw with my own eyes the pregnancy diagnosis my daughter was hiding. It clearly said 4 months pregnant.
Now it was my turn to yell. MIKO, WHAT DO YOU MEAN 4 MONTHS PREGNANT?
She still hasn't said a word. She remains looking down with a pale face.
We've only been doing that FOR ABOUT 2 MONTHS AT MOST, RIGHT? 4 months pregnant doesn't add up. The father-in-law, who'd been yelling, finally seemed to notice the conversation was heading in an unexpected direction.
The father-in-law's face also turned pale. No matter how you think about it, my girlfriend must have had a physical relationship with another man.
Hey, Miko. Is the baby really mine?
You're not dating another guy besides me, are you?
>> Of course not. Dad's just mistaken. He misread it. I'm 2 months pregnant and I'm not cheating. Believe me.
>> She finally looked up and shouted that.
I answered calmly. I can't unconditionally believe you in this situation. Naturally, I'll have you get examined at a hospital. will make clear how many months pregnant you are.
>> You won't believe my words. That's terrible.
>> She covered her face and wailed about how terrible it was. Get diagnosed and show me the results. Until then, the marriage talk is off. Since it seemed like it would become an argument with no resolution, I ended the conversation there. When I asked a detective agency to investigate, the affair was easily discovered. The partner was a former elementary school classmate. When I talked to the people who'd exchanged contact info at the reunion party, even more information came together. I confronted my girlfriend with evidence of the affair.
After going on and on about how sincerity is important, YOU'RE A HUGE LIAR. Looks like you were secretly dating a goodlooking, smooth talker and planned to just have me pay. H >> how did you find out?
>> Your female friends had loose lips just as they looked. You changed your image to modest style planning to hook a serious guy like me, right? That handsome guy's a part-time worker with no money. After all, my girlfriend, who'd been doing well, apparently attracted women's jealousy.
There were various women who taught me things with photo evidence. She seemed to realize everything was exposed and was stunned. I broke off the engagement.
I claimed $5,000 in alimony each from her and the man. After that, she married the other man and gave birth. Living in a shabby apartment with both working, life apparently isn't easy. Her parents were angry about this incident and apparently aren't supporting their daughter at all.
My name is Kenjiro, a 30-year-old office worker. My wife is 33 quit her job at marriage and became a housewife. At the beginning of our marriage, everything was going well. My wife did the housework and managed the household finances. She would withdraw from savings or use credit cards only for what was needed for living. However, in the second year of marriage, things gradually started going wrong. When I came home from work, I checked the balance on online banking and was shocked when I confirmed the credit card payments.
Why have the savings decreased so much?
And last month's credit card payment.
Isn't that way too much? I warned my wife. I don't know how many times I've warned her about this sort of thing.
>> Are you treating your wife like she's a slave or something? I work 24/7, 365 days. So, it's not strange for me to receive appropriate payment for that, isn't it? But since your cheap salary couldn't pay for it, I'm holding back to this extent.
>> My wife has recently been absorbed in the internet, especially reading articles like protect women's rights.
Apparently, I'm not saying you can't rest, am I?
It's fine to spend money occasionally on eating out or whatever you like, but recently you haven't been doing much housework, have you? Couldn't you do a bit more housework? I pointed out gently. However, my wife flew into a rage.
>> Wives are human, too. No human has the right to order another human. I will fight with all my strength to protect women's rights and freedom. You only see women as labor in a sexual outlet. Your words and actions are a vicious hate crime that makes enemies of all women.
>> Hate crime. My wife, influenced by the internet, started using terms she never used before. When I looked it up later, hate crime apparently means crimes caused by prejudice or discrimination.
In other words, my wife wanted to say I was discriminating just because she's a woman. More and more incomprehensible words and claims mixed in, and my wife's abuse became increasingly intense. After about an hour, I exhausted from work, ended up apologizing.
At first, seeing my wife angry as if she was on fire.
Maybe without realizing it myself, am I actually a terrible person? I even worried about such things. So, I worked hard on housework to reduce my wife's burden. I immediately fixed the things my wife criticized. But I later realized all of that was pointless. The reason my wife was harsh on me was because she was having an affair with a young man.
The day my wife abandoned housework and left home knowing she was going on a hot spring trip with her affair partner, I stopped her credit card and transferred the savings to another account.
>> Housewives aren't slaves. Taking breaks is the natural right of housewives.
>> My wife, who had been making such plausible claims, would have a terrible time being unable to use money. I noticed my wife's affair purely by chance. My wife, in high spirits, went to shower while humming, leaving her smartphone. The screen was still on, so I casually looked at it. What was displayed was an exchange with her affair partner. Apparently, she'd made arrangements for a two-day, one night hot spring trip. The affair partner was a young, handsome guy. My wife was confidently sending messages to her affair partner.
Leave the financial matters to me. I have a credit card and plenty of savings. My ATM earns money, so don't worry about payment. As a part-time worker, you don't get to eat delicious food usually, right? Eat as much gourmet food as you want. At night, eat me on the bed.
>> While talking about women's rights and whatnot, she's treating her husband as an ATM. Moreover, you're the one seeing men as a sexual outlet. I put the iPhone back before my wife noticed. I vowed revenge. I hired a detective agency to collect evidence of the affair. The affair partner's age was 21, a part-time worker. Since he has no money, it seems my wife was paying for dates. I collected quite a bit of affair evidence, but decided to let them swim a bit longer.
When they go on the affair trip, I'll make both the credit card and savings unusable.
I decided to complete the card suspension and bank money transfer right before the affair trip. I timed it for effective revenge.
I'll also have the detective follow the affair trip and collect evidence. On the day of the affair trip, my wife picked a fight with me first thing in the morning.
Don't look at my chest with those lewd eyes.
>> Huh? After learning of the affair, I tried not to look at my wife because anger would well up and show on my face.
I'm not looking.
>> Yes, you are. I felt your lewd gaze.
Disgusting. That sleazy gaze that only sees women as an outlet.
>> It may have entered my vision for a moment, but I'm not looking at you like that. Liar. You looked at me with lewd eyes glittering with lust. You're a pitiful man who can only see women as tools for sexual processing. That's it.
I I can't stay in this house. I'm leaving home for a while. My wife grabbed a large travel bag and rushed out of the house. Left alone, I sighed in exasperation.
Even prepared a travel bag. All set.
Either she's completely underestimating me or she's so infatuated with the young handsome affair partner she doesn't seem to notice her own unnatural behavior.
Just now I wanted to demand is neglecting housework and having affairs also women's rights, women's freedom. I struggled to endure. After a while, a long lecture message arrived, apparently written during the wait for the bullet train.
>> It's true that I wanted to become a housewife. However, being worked like a slave 24/7, 365 days a year would kill me. Why can't you understand the obvious fact that housewives also need breaks?
This is an infringement of women's freedom. It's disregard for human rights towards women. You look down on women, deeply reflect, and apologize.
I don't look down on women. Well, I thoroughly despise you, though. I decided to ignore this ridiculous long message. A few hours later, my wife started calling incessantly.
Apparently, she'd finally noticed the credit card wasn't working and there were no savings. I could understand the situation from the voicemail contents.
My wife and a fair partner apparently arrived at the hot spring town with my wife's cash on hand, but they apparently hadn't made reservations in advance. If the Target Hotel was no good, there are plenty of hotels in a hot spring town.
They seemed to think they could easily stay if money was no object.
Fortunately, the Target Hotel was available, so she apparently pulled out her card with a smug face. Then it didn't work and she was greatly embarrassed. Then naturally she tried to withdraw at a bank, but the balance was zero.
It was all abuse. But I burst out laughing. I could feel my wife's panic and confusion.
>> What do you think women's rights are?
Not giving your wife a single penny is nothing but a human rights violation.
Give me money. That's your job. You're listening to this voicemail, aren't you?
Stop fooling around and give me money.
Money now. Call me back. That's an order.
>> While claiming her own freedom, she was ordering others around. I laughed. That night, my wife came home and yelled at me.
>> What have you done? I was completely humiliated.
>> Why can you get so angry when you went on an affair trip to stay overnight at a hot spring? My wife turned pale and was speechless.
I just stopped the credit card and transferred the savings because I noticed that you're having an affair.
Let's talk about the rest with a lawyer involved.
>> Wait a minute.
>> Don't tell me you're not going to say affairs are also women's rights or freedom.
My wife apparently couldn't say anything back. I divorced. I claimed $30,000 in alimony each from my wife and her affair partner. The penniless affair partner and my wife apparently had a huge fight and broke up. A long reconciliation request email came from my wife, but my reply was simple. You've finally been liberated from the household and gained women's freedom and rights. So enjoy it to your heart's content. Don't contact me again. Bye.
>> My husband and I have been married for 2 years. We don't have children yet, but I wanted to enjoy the feeling of being lovers with my husband, so I thought it was fine to wait a bit longer. I first met my husband at a joint company drinking party where we hit it off and our distance closed rapidly. After that, we'd gather with several people to eat out. And in summer, we went camping and grew even closer when my husband confessed to me and we officially started dating. I also thought my husband was great. And when we started dating, I was truly happy. About half a year later, my husband proposed to [music] me. And at that time, I thought that if I were to marry, my husband was the one. So, I immediately said yes.
After that, things moved quickly as we decided on a venue, had our parents meet, and despite being chased by very hectic days, we safely finished the wedding ceremony. So, I should have been in the midst of happiness. But one day, I caught a glimpse of my drunk husband's smartphone. And from the text, I suspected he was having an affair. When my husband noticed I was looking at his smartphone, he immediately said it was a work colleague, but he was clearly agitated and acting strange. But at that point, [music] there was still no evidence. And to balance work with being a housewife, I worked part-time, so I didn't have money to hire a detective.
That said, it wasn't something I could consult my parents about. And saying my husband might [music] be having an affair just a few years into marriage, was something I couldn't consult colleagues or friends about either, leaving only frustration in my chest.
After that, I carefully observed my husband. [music] But perhaps because I looked at his smartphone once, my husband didn't easily show his tail. Then one day, a colleague's child got a fever, so she asked if I could work overtime in her place. My husband and I don't have children and we had no plans that day, I immediately said okay and decided to work overtime instead. Perhaps because I always properly cook dinner and pack lunch in the morning, my husband didn't complain about that at all. He just said he understood. So, I stayed at the company and worked overtime.
>> [music] >> I was told it would probably go past 9:00 p.m., but around 700 p.m. my colleague returned saying she'd switched with her husband. That said, she was still worried about her child. So, we decided to do it together [music] quickly. And with two people working on the overtime, it finished in no time. My colleague thanked me many times, saying it really helped. And we parted with her saying she'd treat me to something next time, but I told my husband to get his own food. So, I headed home thinking I'd ordered delivery of something I liked while taking a bath. When I arrived home, the lights inside were on, so I entered thinking maybe he'd bought food instead of eating out. Since it was overtime after a long time, I wanted to shower right away and approached the bathroom when I heard voices. Moreover, two people, one being a woman's voice. I reflexively returned to the dark entrance and turned on the light and was stunned to notice shoes I'd never seen before. hearing about the overtime, my husband had recklessly brought the affair partner into this house and was taking a bath with her. Whether fortunate or unfortunate, the two didn't seem to notice I'd come home due to the shower sound. So, I had a sudden idea, brought a heavy table from the living room and placed it in front of the bathroom door. Then, I sat on the sofa and took a deep breath. Even pretending to be calm, my heart was pounding and my hands were trembling. But I had no intention of forgiving my husband, [music] so I stealed myself and picked up my iPhone. After a while, my husband and his affair partner seemed to emerge from their fun bath time, and the door was rattling, but naturally wouldn't open.
>> Hey, what's going on? It won't open.
>> I heard my husband's panicked voice in the affair saying, "No way." Right? Then I stood in front of the door and said, "Oh, sorry. I didn't know you were in there. I was rearranging the room. Then I heard my husband in a clearly agitated voice saying things like, "Why are you here and you're already home?" Beside him, his affair partner was saying things like, "You said she was working overtime so she wouldn't come home and how are we supposed to get out?" So when I said, "I'll move the table now, so wait a moment." My husband shouted, "Wait a minute."
I could hear commotion from inside the bathroom, but unfortunately there was no window leading outside that a person could pass through. So I audibly said, "Heave ho" while moving the furniture and told my husband, "You can come out now." And only my husband came out while hiding the affair.
>> You're early. I THOUGHT YOU'D BE MUCH LATER, >> he said while trying to hide his panic and somehow tried to get me to go into the living room. He was probably thinking of getting the affair partner out through the entrance without being caught in that time. So when I obediently went into the living room, my husband looked obviously relieved. So sorry to disappoint you while you're so relieved, but my mother-in-law and father-in-law are over there. You know, when I said that, my husband's eyes widened as he said, "What?" At the same time, I heard a whoo from the entrance direction. After a while, my in-laws brought the affair woman to the living room. There was a woman trespassing in someone's house, so we caught her. My husband and his mistress seemed to realize everything had been exposed and were stunned. Actually, I was anxious about whether I could question them without being shaken against two people.
So, I called my in-laws who live nearby, explained the situation, and asked them to come no matter what. Then, my mother-in-law, who has an exceptionally strong sense of justice, said, "I'll come right now." And came in just a few minutes. and she quietly entered, listening to the conversation, then waited at the entrance so my husband's mistress couldn't escape. From there, my mother-in-law's anger was more tremendous than mine, and she bombarded them with questions at a furious pace before I could even ask. Not only was my husband already pale-faced from his mistress being exposed to me, but learning that his parents had witnessed everything seemed to drain all his will to make excuses. His mistress was crying and apologizing to us, but my mother-in-law said, "In the brief moment when my daughter-in-law was working overtime, the tears of a rotten woman who could get intimate with an affair partner in the home bathroom have no effect whatsoever," she said sharply. So the mistress fell silent and hung her head. Pushed by my mother-in-law, I thrust divorce papers at my husband in front of me and declared I would claim alimony from both of them. Hearing divorce, my husband suddenly changed his attitude, saying the only one he loved was me and that this relationship was just for fun. Then his mistress exploded in anger. While saying, "I can't be made a fool of in front of the wife." She confessed and spilled everything about the affair with my husband, and they started a huge fight. However, my father-in-law immediately shouted, "That's enough!" in a loud voice, and it fell silent. After that, my in-laws took my husband back to their home and apologized to me, saying, "We're truly sorry. I liked my in-laws, but what my husband did was truly shocking." And I said I didn't have confidence to continue the marriage without suspicion again. After that, my husband signed the divorce papers under my in-laws supervision. My husband finally seemed to realize what he'd done and bowed deeply to me, saying, "I'm sorry, [music] but it was already too late, right?" His mistress kept resisting to the end, saying, "I can't pay this much money." But when the lawyer my in-laws found calmly said, "Then we'll have to garnish your wages, won't we?" She agreed to pay as [music] if deflated.
After that, my husband apparently received a virtual disownment declaration from my mother-in-law, who was disappointed that he'd betrayed such a good wife as me. For my husband, it might have really been intended as just play, but the fact that I was made a fool of and looked down upon doesn't change. and I think he's regretting now that the price of playing with fire was high, but I won't sympathize.
My name is Kazumi, a 28-year-old housewife who works in smartphone app development while living with my husband, Tutotomu. My husband is an ordinary office worker whose work hours are shorter than mine. Considering this, my husband is considerate of me and is a kind person who takes initiative with housework. Originally having a gentle personality and valuing family, my husband and I have never fought. My husband is kind not only to me but also to my parents. But because of that, [music] there is one problem that's been troubling me. Taking advantage of my husband's devotion and kindness to his parents, my in-laws only make selfish demands of me. Why do they come to me instead of my husband? Because my income is higher than my husband's. My in-laws only contact me when they want something or need money and try to extract money from me without telling my husband. One day after finishing work as usual and returning home, my in-laws car was parked there. It was unusual for my in-laws to come to the house, so I had a bad feeling and entered with a gloomy mood. When I went to the living room, my husband smiled and said, >> "Welcome home."
>> My in-laws were sitting on the sofa.
"Welcome home, Kazumi," she said with a smile.
After finishing dinner, my husband said, >> "I'll prepare the bath." So, Kazumi, you rest >> and left the living room. The next moment, my mother-in-law suddenly said, "Kazoomi, our TV broke. Won't you buy us one?" I thought I knew it and asked, "About how much would it cost? I want a bigger TV than the current one. About 5,000, I think." I was shocked and shouted, "5,000? There's no way I can suddenly pay that much money." Then my father-in-law said, >> "Sh, if you raise your voice, Tutoto will hear. Anyway, give us $5,000 soon.
If you don't, I'll beg Tutoto for the TV and trouble him," >> he threatened. "My father-in-law is a habitual offender who always extorts money from me like this. In the past, I have been asked for clothes and watches and reluctantly gave money. However, this time the amount is too high, so I can't easily hand over money. Just as I was about to shake my head, my husband returned to the living room and said, >> "The bath is ready."
>> Then my in-laws said, >> "Well, then we should be heading home."
>> And as they were leaving, he looked at me and whispered, >> "Kazoomi, I'm counting on you."
>> And left. I thought about consulting my husband, but I didn't want to see my kind, familyoriented husband get hurt.
That said, I couldn't possibly pay $5,000, so I held my head in my hands. A week passed without being able to do anything, and when I checked my phone after work, there was a call from my mother-in-law. I couldn't ignore it, so I called back and was told to come to my in-laws house alone the next weekend because they needed to talk. I knew what the conversation would be about, so I didn't want to go. But I thought I'd go to the in-laws house as told and firmly refuse about the TV. The next weekend, I lied to my husband saying I had something to do and went to the in-laws house alone where my in-laws greeted me looking displeased. Then my father-in-law suddenly said, >> "What happened with the TV matter? What do you mean by not even contacting us?
You're not planning to run away from this, are you?"
>> He said in a strong tone. I became scared and almost gave into their demands. But I gathered courage and said, "I won't buy the TV no matter what. It's too expensive." I said only that, ignored my furious in-laws, and rushed out of their house. Though I was able to refuse, I didn't feel refreshed because they weren't the type to give up quietly. For the next 6 months, there was no contact from my in-laws, and I was relieved, thinking they'd finally given up on targeting my money. when one day I suddenly received a call from my mother-in-law telling me to come to their house alone. She said there was something important about my husband. So I hurriedly headed to the in-laws house.
When I arrived, my mother-in-law said, "Long time no see." So I asked, "What's this important talk about Sito?" Oh, that was a lie. I called you today because I have something to report to deceive me and call me out. They must need money again. My father-in-law took documents out of an envelope and handed them to me. When I looked closely, it was a housing loan contract. As I stood frozen looking at it, my mother-in-law said, "You make good money, right?" And my father-in-law continued.
>> "The loan is your responsibility," >> he said, handing me a bank. "A loan?
That's obviously impossible." When I said that, my father-in-law said, >> "If you don't pay, I'll come collect at your company every month."
>> I couldn't ignore it since I couldn't cause trouble for my company, and I didn't know what to do. When I returned home with the bank book, my husband greeted me with his usual smile.
>> Welcome home.
>> The moment I saw his face, I involuntarily shed tears. My husband looked surprised and asked what happened. I thought I couldn't carry this burden alone anymore and told my husband everything. After learning the situation, the smile disappeared from my husband's face and his shoulders trembled with anger. Then he said, >> "You don't have to pay the loan. I'm sorry. My parents did such terrible things."
>> But they said they'd come to my company if I don't pay. When I said that, >> I'll handle it. So don't worry. Let's cut ties with my parents, >> my husband said brightly. I was taken it back, but I thought my husband must have some plan, so I decided to leave the in-laws to him. A few days later, while eating my bento during lunch break at work, my husband suddenly showed up. My husband was led by my supervisor into the president's office. I panicked, unable to understand the situation, and after a while, my husband came out of the president's office. I chased after my husband who was about to leave and asked what he talked about with the president. And my husband had voluntarily explained the in-laws situation to the president. And then he asked the president to tell my in-laws if they came that I'd been transferred overseas and received consent. The next month when the loan repayment began, my in-laws immediately started calling me constantly every day. My husband told me to ignore all of it. So I continued ignoring as told. Then they called the company asking to speak with me, but the reception staff had apparently received instructions from the president in advance and told them I'd been transferred overseas. After that, my in-laws no longer contacted the company, but they called my cell phone dozens of times a day. I continued ignoring them for a year. Then the calls from my in-laws suddenly stopped. At first, they managed to repay the loan by cutting into their savings, but eventually their savings ran out and the loan payments started to fall behind. As a result, my in-laws had their new house seized and were evicted. All that remained from the in-laws, abandoned by their own son, was a massive debt. They now live in an old apartment while continuing to pay off the debt. Even after retirement, my father-in-law had to keep working, whipping his aging body, doing physical labor at construction sites. My mother-in-law had been a housewife, so she couldn't find work easily, but apparently now works part-time cleaning school toilets. Even working together and trying hard to earn, they have no financial leeway each month due to debt repayment and were forced to live a poor and harsh life. My husband doesn't sympathize with such in-laws and says it serves them right. As for me, with my worries gone, I can now live peacefully and happily with my husband. With work going well and income stable, we purchased our dream home. Life in our new house is comfortable and my motivation for work has increased even more. To protect this life forever, I want to work hard and cooperate with my husband. When he stood up to his own parents and protected me, I'd never felt my husband was so reliable before, kind and family oriented. But it became the first incident where I learned my husband [music] had a clear sense of right and wrong. I sincerely want to cherish my husband forever.
My husband and I live together, just the two of us. We don't have kids yet, so we both work full-time. We met a few years ago through a mutual friend. Even though it was our first time meeting, we hit it off right away. We exchanged contact information that same day, started seeing each other, and eventually started dating. About 6 months into our relationship, my husband invited me to a restaurant and proposed to me. I was so happy that I immediately said yes. After that, everything moved quickly. We introduced each other to our parents and started talking about the wedding. But since we were both busy with work at the time, and though I felt a little wisful about it, we decided to just register our marriage without a ceremony. We moved from living separately into my husband's apartment, and I decided to keep working until we had children.
About a year after we got married, everyone around us started having babies, and I started wanting kids, too.
I was thinking about cutting back on work to start trying for a baby when my husband gave me a special present for my birthday. To my surprise, it was a car with that cute design I'd been wanting for ages. Surprised by the sudden gift, I said, "Are you sure this is okay?"
>> "Of course. You've been wanting this for so long. Since it's your birthday, I THOUGHT I'D SURPRISE YOU WITH IT. You commute to work every day, so make sure you drive it a lot from now on.
Thank you. I'll take good care of it. I had actually been thinking about starting to try for a baby soon, but since my husband had surprised me [music] like this, I decided to keep working a while longer so I could see him happy. However, from that day on, I started feeling progressively worse. The symptoms were always the same. For some reason, I'd get sleepy right before my commute. I'm naturally an early sleeper.
I usually start getting ready for bed around 9:00 p.m., but lately, my husband had been saying that there was a great movie we should watch together and inviting me more often. We'd usually start watching around 9:00, so I wouldn't get to bed until after 11:00, but I figured the morning drowsiness was probably because of that. My office is a bit far from my husband's apartment, about a 30-inut drive. So, I'd fight off the drowsiness every morning, and there were several times I almost got into an accident, but I didn't tell my husband because [music] I didn't want him to worry. But the morning drowsiness kept getting worse. I was honestly wondering if I had some kind of illness and worrying about it alone. Meanwhile, my husband seemed really eager for me to drive the car. He'd try to get me used to it for even the smallest things.
Hey, I heard there's a meat sale at the warehouse store. With prices so high these days, why don't you take a drive out there and check it out?
>> Or he'd say, >> "You know, someone from my office mentioned there's an amazing new hair salon that opened in the next town over.
Why don't you go check it out?"
>> He started doing this more and more, trying to get me to take long drives for some reason. At first, I thought he was just saying that because he wanted me to use the car he gave me, deliberately encouraging me to drive it. But the drowsiness kept getting stronger, and I thought I'd eventually get into an accident at this rate. So, I consulted a close friend about it, and she said, "You absolutely cannot drive in that condition. And if you're feeling like that, you need to go to the hospital.
What if it's something serious?" She pushed me to go. And while I thought just for being sleepy, I realized it would be scary if some serious illness was hiding underneath. So, I decided to go to the hospital. But honestly, I was afraid of going to the hospital and finding out I really had something serious. So, I told my husband I was going to the hospital and that the drowsiness had been terrible lately.
>> You're just imagining things. Everyone gets sleepy sometimes, right? I'm sleepy every day, too. There's no such thing as an illness that just makes you sleepy.
There's no need to take time off work for something like that. Doctors aren't sitting around with nothing to do, you know.
>> For some reason, he didn't seem happy about me going to the hospital. I had expected my husband to immediately tell me to go see a doctor, so I felt a strange sense of distrust. After that, my husband said to me almost every day, >> "DON'T GO TO THE HOSPITAL. BESIDES, IF YOU take time off work, you'll inconvenience everyone at the office."
>> It felt like he was trying to prevent me from going to the hospital. So, I told him, "Okay, I won't go." But then I went to work normally in the morning and used paid leave [music] in the afternoon to secretly go to the hospital without telling him. But that morning, the drowsiness hit me harder than ever. Even after arriving at the hospital, I was so sleepy I could barely stand it. When my turn came and I was called in, I explained my recent symptoms and had some tests done. When I was called back into the examination room, the doctor had a very serious look on his face. He asked if I'd been seeing a psychiatrist recently. And when I said no, he started asking things like whether I had any worries or if I'd been having trouble sleeping. I didn't understand [music] what he was getting at, but I said no to everything. Then the doctor said something shocking.
>> Large amounts of sleeping pills were detected in your system.
>> What sleeping pills? A drug I never expected came up, and I was stunned. The doctor had suspected I might have suicidal thoughts because I was taking more medication than necessary. As I talked with the doctor about when I felt sleepy, something terrifying dawned on me. My husband's face flashed in my mind. Lately, he'd been eager to get me to drive, and I realized the drowsiness started getting worse around the same time I got the car. I went pale. The doctor said if I didn't recognize taking any medication, I should probably contact the police. He advised me to distance myself from my husband immediately and to reconsider everything I was consuming. Come to think of it, my husband had been making me smoothies lately, saying they were nutritious and having me drink them every morning.
Plus, before I'd go on longer drives, he'd give me some kind of drink. I realized the sleeping pills were probably in those. When I got home from the hospital, I searched the entire house. In the box where my husband keeps his skin toner and other personal items, I found sleeping pills and felt a chill run down my spine. My husband is trying to kill me. And if there was a reason for that, I could only think of one thing, an affair. I wanted to identify who it was and gather evidence. But I thought I couldn't wait around in this condition. So, I explained the situation to my in-laws and had them come to our house urgently to wait for my husband to come home. While waiting, I looked around for any evidence I could find.
And in the trash, I even found a receipt from a hotel I'd never been to. When my husband came home that evening and saw my in-laws, he casually said, "What are you doing here?" But when he saw the sleeping pills on the table, he visibly flinched. Before I could say anything, my father-in-law said, "What is this?"
Even though they were just sleeping pills, my husband's guilty conscience showed. His eyes darted around and he said, >> "Well, a friend wanted these." And >> he made up some nonsensical excuse, but my father-in-law exploded. When he yelled, "Are you behind all these strange things happening to her lately?"
My husband got scared and confessed everything right away. My husband had always been afraid of his father, so I think that played a role. And just as I suspected, my husband had given me the car to increase my driving, planning to make it look like an accident with the sleeping pills. And it turned out he'd even taken out life insurance on me. All in cahoots with his mistress, of course.
From there, my father-in-law completely lost it and started beating his son. My husband sobbed and bowed down to me in apology, but there was no way I could forgive him. I turned both of them over to the police and decided to divorce him after demanding compensation. The mistress was his office worker. When she realized I'd found out everything, she was arrested by the police with her eyes wide open, saying, "How did you find out?" My in-laws bowed an apology to me, and they promised to make sure he paid proper compensation and atoned for his crimes. So, I found some closure in that. After that, my husband and his mistress were convicted of attempted murder and sent straight to prison. I went to the hospital for a while after that and managed to cleanse my body. For those two who tried to kill me without getting their hands dirty, they'll be locked up in a cramped cell for a long time. But I think it's the punishment they deserve.
