This video demonstrates how trail cameras reveal diverse nocturnal wildlife activity in urban environments, showing that different species exhibit distinct behavioral patterns including solitary foraging (raccoons, skunks), group interactions (multiple raccoons), and predator-prey dynamics (foxes hunting rabbits and skunks), with some species like opossums being less frequently observed than others.

Night-time Wildlife Report [Eugene, Oregon, April 2026]本站添加:
Welcome to the April 2026 Planton Ridge nighttime wildlife report.
The mice clean up under the bird feeders.
Rats patrol near the fence.
But let us dwell on chipmunks for a moment.
You may recall me talking about rats in my car a while back.
Well, I found some more shredded napkins in my glove box.
So, I employed a trail camera to find the culprit.
The nighttime cameras saw no rats.
But when I looked for daytime visitors, I spied chipmunks.
This is where you belong.
The eastern cottontail rabbit.
At night, I'm used to seeing these in the jaws of a fox.
These are a few daytime recordings.
But it's also risking its existence in the early morning.
This month we'll look at a couple of cats.
and how the same cats appear at night and day.
The possum is only seen about onethird of the nights.
The raccoons mostly travel alone, but two are more interesting than one.
Then there was that time when three fled the area.
And here the raccoon in the background spooks a fox.
The skunks prefer being alone.
This patio skunk is about to be ambushed by a fox.
And here, two skunks meet on the same patio.
Was just after this encounter that we enjoyed skunk odor inside the house.
See you next month, skunk.
Usually one, but sometimes two great foxes clean under the hanging bird feeders.
This is a rare look at a visiting coyote.
It turns around, perhaps sees the camera, and is spooked away.
A minute later, the same thing.
2 minutes later, it digs a little and then leaves.
We're finding shed deer antlers in the yard, and the bucks are growing new ones.
Here's a 13-month summary of nighttime sightings.
