Could Titan Harbor Alien Life? 🚀

[00:00:02]It's Titan, the largest moon of Saturn.

[00:00:05]And scientists believe it could potentially host alien life. Why is Titan so special? Because beneath its icy surface, there may be a massive underground ocean, possibly holding more liquid water than all of Earth's oceans combined. On top of that, it has a thick atmosphere filled with organic molecules and hydrocarbons, similar to early Earth. But here's the problem.

[00:00:32]It receives about 100 times less sunlight than Earth, and temperatures drop to around minus 179° C.

[00:00:40]So, if life exists there, it would have to survive in extreme cold and very low energy conditions, possibly deep beneath the surface where it's warmer. That's why NASA is sending a nuclear-powered helicopter mission later this decade to explore Titan's surface. And this might completely change what we know about life in the universe.
