Boise officials say wait to float the Boise River

[00:00:00]Officials are urging people to stay out of the Boise River. Float season is not open yet because of high river flows and they remain fast and dangerous due to snow melt and changing water conditions.

[00:00:12]City and county crews also still need to remove trees and debris along the float route between Barber Park and Anne Morrison Park. Officials say cold water, strong currents, and hidden hazards could lead to injuries, hypothermia, and drowning. An official opening date for float season has not yet been announced.
