How “Fatphobic” Am I?Añadido:
by promoting fat shaming beliefs or be part of the resistance. How about you resist resist the [ __ ] fast food? Huh?
How about that? How do you all? Welcome back to my channel or welcome if you are new here. My name is Molina, formerly fat, currently fed up, and I found I found a quiz online. Actually, I thought about it and I thought this would be a great great video to do. The quiz is called, "Am I sorry, am I fat phobic?
We're going to take this quiz together and see how ridiculous it is. Leave your thoughts down below before the video starts. Do you think I'm fat phobic? I would say yeah, I am fat phobic in the sense of I am afraid of being fat again.
Because if you are new here, hello. I ate myself into class one obesity, which is having a BMI of 30 or above. Mine was 32 whatever. Class one obesity. I am 4'11 and I weighed around 160 mother freaking lbs. Yeah, that that is too big for a 4'11. For a 4'11 woman. Okay. 160 on a tall muscular fit lady. Cool. 160 on me.
No. No. I stayed that way for 2 years. I I ate myself into it in 2017 2018.
stayed there for 2 years. May 22nd, 2020, I said, "Enough is enough." No, this sucks. Being fat sucks. Being fat is unhealthy. Being fat is my responsibility. I did this to myself.
And yeah, the pain of staying the same was finally bigger than the pain of change. I made the change. I've kept the weight off and I've built muscle. I've done all of my sports stuff. So, am I fat phobic? We are going to find out. I will leave a link for this quiz down below. Go ahead and take it and let me know what you get. So, yes, that is that is all.
Let's go back into the video. This is from a website called Peace and Nutrition. There are so many layers in which it comes to unraveling and understanding a fat phobia. Most of us come from a world where fat phobia is accepted, if not held up like a badge of honor. You guys are starting out real freaking strong. I encourage everyone to ask myself, am I fat phobic? Yes, that's going to get clipped. Whatever.
Taking this simple quiz geared to highlight sneaky fat phobia may give you some insight into biases you never knew you had. Ooh, my internalized fat phobia. Let's see. Fat phobia is sneaky.
Most people are not going to walk up to someone and say things like, "You really shouldn't be fat if you want a place to sit. You're fat and I think that's gross." I'm equating your body fatness with your health and judging you. I presume you're lazy because you're fat.
If you're fat, it's because you have no self-control. However, fat shaming with a positive spin, such as saying you need to watch your weight for health reasons, or I shouldn't have to pay more money because fat bodies can't comfortably fit on an airplane are widely accepted. When many of us think we are promoting positive healthy choices by dieting or advocating for weight loss, you may be in fact perpetuating fat phobia. America's fear of fatness is There is a reason to fear fatness, by the way. There is a reason because it is it is not healthy. It is not good for you. It increases your risk of a myriad of different issues. It's not just as r Okay. Okay. I'll probably get to this later. America's fear of fatness is creating a very real and a very dangerous world of oppression. Fat people want to be oppressed so bad. Not just fat people. Just normal fat people.
No problem. Fat acceptance, health at every size. People, they want to be oppressed so freaking bad. For those living in larger body size, take the quiz below. Examine your fat biases. No, you value my privacy. I don't want any cookies. Here we have some fat phobia examples. I hope I never get that big.
Fat people should eat less. I'm Oh my god, I'm not attracted to fat bodies.
I'm more attractive thinner. Fat people should lose weight for health. I want to help my kid trim down naturally. These are literally all all things that I have said except for the the kid one. That's hella funny. I am the fat phobic queen.
Okay. What is fat phobia? Oh, they have a frick food rules fan club. I should join. I should put my business email.
They'll probably block me. I don't think they know who I am. Not yet, at least. I want to become so big. Not like that.
No. I want to become so big on the internet that all of the fat activists and health at every size people hear honey bison and they recoil in their seat. They're like, "Oh my god, she's so fat fat back." If they think that, then I have done my job. Fat phobia is internal or external discrimination against fat bodies. The three types of fat phobia include intrapersonal fat phobia, interpersonal fat phobia, and institutional fat phobia. All of these types of fat phobia work together to keep bodies continually oppressed. Okay, you guys are not oppressed. You are the majority. By the way, fat phobia includes the fear of becoming fat. Okay.
Hating your body. All right. What if you're underweight and then you hate your body? Are you Does that make you fat phobic? Also interesting. Advocating for people to lose weight. Well, if you're fat, you should commenting on people's body weight. Yep. You probably shouldn't do that unless you are concerned about like a family member, something like that. Negative thoughts about your own body weight. That's not always a bad thing. Negative thoughts about other people's body weight. Well, I'll keep my mouth shut. Not advocating for inclusive inclusive spaces for all body sizes. I will advocate for inclusive spaces for people who are actually disabled. I'm not going to advocate for places to take the armchairs, take the arms off of chairs in public establishments because that is taking away the rights of people who are actually disabled. You know, there are people who who need the armrest to stand up. Just because you've eaten yourself to the point where you can't sit in a freaking chair, that doesn't mean you should take away a part of that object that helps other people there. Oh, this this website's super long. Okay, I'm just going to get into the actual quiz.
You guys can read. You guys can read about this. Oh, of course they have a intuitive eating food tracker. Cool, cool, cool, cool, cool. Friendly reminder, intuitive eating is the goal.
Intuitive eating is not a treatment plan, especially for people who suffer with hinge eating. If you are fat, if you are overweight, if you are obese, chances are you don't know how to eat properly. You don't. Because if you did, you would not be in the position in the position that you are now, which is fat.
You don't know what a proper serving size is. You don't know how to balance your meals properly. You don't know what being hungry or full feels like. You don't know anything about macros. You don't know anything about micros. And I'm not saying that to be mean or like for you to feel bad, but this is where intuitive eating comes from. Intuitive eating is not intuitive. This is what I always say about the like anti-diet dietitians. They the reason why they are able to eat intuitively and not be fat.
By the way, the vast majority majority of them are not fat is because they went to school for this. They have educated themselves. They have educated themselves. Sorry if I look down. I get with the cat stuff. There's just always there's always stuff going on. Um they have taken classes. They have studied this. They have applied it for years and years and years. So that is how it becomes intuitive. That is why I can eat intuitively. I've taught myself about nutrition from high school. I've taken classes in college about nutrition. I've taken courses. And if you guys have not seen my update, I'm now a certified personal trainer. And I'm about to take their nutrition course tests after doing the coursework. And then I've also got some other nutrition stuff from like what's his name? I forgot his name. His name escapes me. But basically continuing my education with nutrition.
This is how you learn how to eat intuitively. You start tracking your food. You start building your meals properly. You start learning and then it becomes intuitive. It does not come intuitively. We do not live in a society and an environment where intuitive eating works. Really, the only people who can eat intuitively are going to be babies because babies have not been introduced to ultrarocessed foods yet.
This is the am I fat phobic quiz. When you look at other bodies and your own, what are your thoughts? Do you assign value to certain body shapes and sizes over others? Are you promoting liberation for all bodies? Find out by taking the quiz. Okay, Buzzfeed. All right, let's go.
You guys should you guys should open this up and take the quiz with me. No, don't take the quiz with my with my commentary because I don't want to sway you guys one way or another. You are free to think however you want. I do not expect my audience to think the same exact thing as me. That would be kind of weird actually. So, all right. Question one out of 20. Someone in a large body crosses the street in front of your car.
You visibly see fat and cellulite on their body. They are in a bikini top and cut offs. My immediate thoughts are option one, I don't think anything different than when a small person walks by. Two, I hope that I don't ever get that big. What? Three, they should dress for their body type. four, I think at least they're getting exercise and five, that person doesn't take care of themselves. So, my first my first thought about this is if you if someone and anyone is walking by and they are wearing a bikini top and cut offs, the context has to be by a beach, I'm assuming, right? Because if the context is not going to the beach or going to a pool nearby, I would think, what the [ __ ] are you wearing? regardless if it was a fat person or a thin person. I know that's not the answer or those that's not a part of the question, but that was my immediate thought. Let's just assume that they are going to the beach. What would my first thought be? I don't think I would think anything different because they are just simply walking to the beach. So, I don't think anything different than when a small person walks by. Yeah. If you are fat and also not thin people also have cellulite. women usually um it has to do with the way that your your ear I think is is it your fascia? Let me see very quickly regarding cellulite. So women are more prone to getting cellulite.
Genes, hormones, and the underlying connective tissues are among the reasons why cellulite is more prone in women.
Since women have higher estrogen levels, they tend to accumulate and store more fat. However, a woman's skin is thinner and have underlying vertical structures which cause the fat layer to protrude outwards. The fat deposits are being pushed up resulting in the appearance of lumpiness or uneven skin tone. The dimpling can be superficial and scattered along the area as well as deep depressions or indentations in the skin like an orange pill. On the other hand, men have thicker skin and their underlying structure is in a crisscross formation which push down the fat layer making them less likely to have a cellulite. And then the causes there are the exact cause is not entirely known.
It is said to form due to the fat buildup underneath the skin and the interaction with the skin's connective tissue. There are also a number of other factors that can cause cellulite which includes age, hormones, genetic factors, diet, weight gain, lifestyle, and tight elastic. Okay. Wearing underwear with elastic bands may contribute to cellulite appearance. Yeah, if that makes sense. So, don't feel don't necessarily feel bad about your cellulite, especially if you are like thinner or lean because women tend to they tend to have it anyway. But if you are overweight or obese, losing body fat could potentially make it better for you. But again, it's not it's really not something to feel bad about. Okay. So, yeah, I don't I don't think anything different when a small person than when a small person walks by. I would be happier in a smaller body. Right now, no, because I am at a healthy body weight. I like the way my body looks.
Um, but when I was obese, yes. But I'm going to answer this as who I am right now. So, I'm Why is it strongly agree?
Agree. Disagree. Why is there no strongly disagree? This This quiz already feels biased. Okay, I'm going to say disagree. Your cousin Emma has lost a substantial amount of weight, at least four dress sizes. Oh, go Emma. Emma has always lived in a super fat body. Oh, so that's like a step or two above above small fat. Your first thought is to congratulate her. She's obviously been doing positive selfwork. Number two, I'm concerned. Number three, I body check myself. Emma's weight loss has me feeling a little self-conscious.
Number four, I'm concerned, but only if the weight loss is raid. Five, I feel happy Emma has lost weight, she is healthier. So, it depends on my relationship with Emma and if I know that she has been losing weight in a healthy way. If I know that she's been losing weight in a healthy way, I'm going to feel happy for her because yes, she will be healthier if she has lost at least four freaking dress sizes from being super fat. If I haven't seen her in a while and I don't really know what happened, I would say I would be maybe concerned, but only if the weight loss was rapid, that's probably going to be my answer because my immediate thought would be like, "Oh no, what if she jumped on a GLP1 without doing the work and she's not eating high protein and she's not strength training?" Because any type of rapid weight loss, you're going to have negative side effects from that regardless if you use a GLP1 or not. A lot of people are like, "Oh my god, GLP1's cause muscle wasting." No, that's not necessarily true. Any type of rapid weight loss is going to cause muscle wasting. You have to strength train and you have to eat high protein regardless, but especially if you are on a GLP1. So, I'm going to say I'm concerned, but only if it was rapid.
doctor tells you, "My child is overweight." My immediate response is to one, limit the sweets. Two, I don't change anything in my home. I make sure I have a variety of foods stocked in the home, including cookies, chips, fruits, and veggies. Three, do a purge of the household junk food. Four, remind the child to watch their portions at each meal. Five, encourage regular meals and snacks whenever they want food. talk about honoring their body's physical and emotional needs, including sweets and fats. I read that as sweets and farts at first.
And then six, one, two, three, four, five, six. Why do some of these have like some have three answers? Some of them have seven. This makes me Can I select multiple? Oh, you can. Okay.
Well, okay. Allow fruits and vegetables freely but require permission for other foods. and then push my child to get outside, do sports, or move their body.
Well, I'm not going to purge anything because doing a purge of junk food, I don't know why they put junk food in quotes. Junk food is very easily defined. It's going to be ultrarocessed foods. I don't know why people like to pretend there isn't a junk or a bad I'm not saying bad as in morality. I'm saying bad as in bad for your health.
Because if you were to eat a primarily ultrarocessed food diet, you're going to suffer negative health outcomes. You you can't even argue that. Like what does Amber Lynn say? Point point blank pier.
Like you can't argue that. Okay. So it is junk food. It's not junk food. My house would not have cookies and chips anyway because I'm just not that's not who I am. That's not what my household is. I wonder why my kid would be fat.
Yeah, this is hard because I don't I would if my kid got fat that's probably because they've gone through some sort of trauma and now they're they're leaning towards food for comfort. So what I would actually do isn't even on here. I think I'm thinking too much about this. I'm going to limit the sweets. If we have sweets in the house, I'm going to limit those. I'm not going to purge anything cuz that because that is silly and doing a 180 like a a a quick flip of how you're eating is not it's usually not going to work for people. I also wouldn't really change anything and I would seek actual help for my child that is not health at every size/fat activism. And then I would also encourage regular meals and snacks. Talk about honoring their bodies. I guess I guess with sweets and farts. I guess that is also a good one, but I feel like this is being said through the lens of like intuitive eating for fat acceptance. But I do overall like I do like this one. And then yeah, my child's going to go outside to play sports or move their body. Yeah, I think I think these were these would be all right. At what point do you feel weight compromises health for a 5'2 woman?
Okay. Well, first of all, this question is not a you can't answer this with your opinion because the facts don't care about your opinion. Facts don't care about your feelings. This is already defined. Okay. So, the options are oh my god at 140 at this is pounds at 180 at 200 at 310 and then weight does not compromise house health. Well, um, at least four of these answers are egregiously incorrect. I am a 4'11 woman, so I feel that I know a little bit more about what weight is good. I'm not I won't even put good in quotes because there is a good and a bad weight. Of course, it's on a it is on a scale. So 5'2 women should not be 140 lb. Unless you are extremely muscular and lean, which most 5'2 women are not.
A 5'2 woman should not be 140 lb. Sorry.
Sorry. Don't get don't get mad at me. At 5'2, your BMI is going to be 25.6. I see why they chose this because it's it's right on it's teetering right on the edge. It's overweight. You're you're overweight. Is being a little bit overweight necessarily a bad thing? Not always. take your waist to height ratio.
If it's higher than a 0.5, you are in trouble. The thing about going into the overweight range is that that is what leads to obesity. So you you have to be careful. I will say most women who are 5'2 and are 140 lbs are not going to be muscular. So you will you will have issues. You probably will be skinny fat.
So the answer is 140 pounds. Sorry.
Obesity is a crisis and more people are fat than ever. Yes. How are you? How are you neutral about this? You don't like how are you neutral about this this question? This is not a question you could be neutral about. That is true.
People in small bodies work out more than people in large bodies. Um I will disagree. That is just not true. People who are considered obese or morbidly obese should be told to lose weight at their health visit to prevent chronic disease. True. Obviously, doctors took a what is it? The hypocratic oath or whatever. And yeah, that being obese or more obese is not healthy and they should be encouraged to lose body fat at their appointment. Saying I believe someone should try to be less fat is just as dangerous as saying I believe someone should show up oh my god.
Wow. Saying, "I believe someone should try to be less fat," is just as dangerous as saying, "I believe someone should show up less black, Asian, and Hispanic." What in the actual [ __ ] These people are insane. Being fat is not comparable to being black, Asian, or Hispanic. You can change your fatness.
Those people cannot change their blackness, their Asianness, or their Hispanicness.
They are facing or have faced oppression in their lives based off of something that they cannot change. You are in the body that you are in because of the choices, the decisions, and the actions that you you have made over and over and over and over and over again. Your body is a mirror of your habits.
You do not have to be fat. You don't have to. you can lose body fat. And to even sort of compare it to people who are actually oppressed and people who have gone through really horrible things based off of something they cannot change about themselves is disgusting.
It's disgusting. Like this I I lose I've don't have any respect for them obviously, but it it just makes me just it makes it really hard to feel bad for these types of people. It really does. No, obviously it is not just as dangerous. Oh my god.
When it comes to my own body, check all that apply. There are parts of my body I actively try to change, such as getting more toned abs, arms. I do not try to change my body weight, shape, or size. I think I need to shrink my body and try to do so regularly. I try to change my body, but it's for myself, not others. I don't try to change my body, but I feel guilty for not doing so. I guess there are parts that I do actively try to change. There are certain body parts that I like to grow. So like for example, my quads I would like I would like my quads to be a little bit bigger.
So I can do that because you can change the shape of your muscle. You can make them bigger or smaller. So I guess that is one. But at this current moment, I'm not trying to change anything because I am happy with how I look. So I guess I'll put both of those. I see a couple infat bodies. That That's a [ __ ] weirdass way to phrase this, but all right. I see a couple infat bodies dining at a restaurant. The plates of food cover the table and the choices are not quote healthy. Again, you do not have to put healthy in quotes because healthy food is very easily describable.
My immediate thought is check all that apply. One, they should not be eating that much. If they ate less, they wouldn't be fat. Two, the food here must taste good. Three, I don't think twice because it's just another group ordering dinner. Four, if I look like that, I'd be eating at home or ordering something healthy. Um, they definitely should not be eating that much. There is no reason for two people to have enough food to cover the entire table, especially that food not being healthy. Two, the food here must taste good also. And then if I look like that, I'd be eating at home for sure. when I was when I was um class one obese, I did not go out to eat. I've already felt deeply shameful for how how I looked and the position that I put myself in because it was bad. I was not treating myself nicely. I was treating myself poorly and that reflected on my body. I wouldn't say or ordering something healthy. I don't know. I guess it depends on your journey, but yeah.
All right. If I lost weight that would make me healthier at this current point in time, no. when I was class one obese.
Yes, I did say that I was going to answer this as I am now. However, I do know that the way that they are phrasing this question, they are they are assuming that the person taking it is probably fat or they are assuming or asking it in the lens of if you were fat, if you were to lose weight, you'd be healthier. Maybe I don't know. To to keep the continuity, I will still I will still answer how I am currently right now. If I currently lost weight, would it make me healthier?
Um, I don't think so. I don't think it would make me healthier because I am already at a healthy body fat percentage. I would say disagree. If I am fatter, I am less attractive. This is true. I will insert some uh some photos of what I looked like fat versus now.
Not saying all fat people are ugly. I'm saying when I was fat, I was [ __ ] busted. I was busted.
I am more attracted to smaller bodies than larger. Yep. That people are a burden on society. They are sick more often and cause health care premiums to go up. I strongly agree with that. How do you feel about your body? One, I love my body. Two, I accept it, but I may not love every part of it. Three, I fixate on parts of my body I dislike and wish I can change them. Four, I hate it. No, I love my body. Not only do I love how it looks because I've put in [ __ ] years of blood, sweat, and tears to look the way that I do now. Um, but I also love what my body does for me, which is, you know, well, not endurance sports right now cuz I hurt myself. People are like, "Can you please get back into trail running?" And I'm like, "Um, yeah, I just need to heal my my IT band syndrome." I'm pretty sure that's what I have. I've just been procrastinating on it. Honestly, I'm going to keep it 100.
I've been procrastinating on it. So, oh, maybe one day. Maybe one day, my friends. But yeah, my my body allows me to do endurance sports. It allows me to lift a lot of weight. Um, when I was training for strength, not necessarily strength training, because when I say strength training, I'm just meaning like lifting in general, like progressive overload is normal lifting. When I was training for strength, so squat, bench, and deadlift, my squat was 230 lbs. My bench was 135 lbs and then four reps.
And then my deadlift was 275 lbs. So I my body my body is strong. I can't do that right now because your girl has not been training for strength. If I do switch back to that, I know I can get there pretty quickly. I accept my body, but I may not love every part of it.
I'll I'll check that one, too, cuz I don't love every part of it. The parts that I don't love, I can get it fixed. I will be getting a boob job. I reached out to a surgeon out in San Jose and I'll be going to a consultation soon so I can get my mommy milkers back. Fat people have only themselves to blame for being fat. They could eat less or exercise more and they wouldn't be fat.
This it lacks a lot of nuance. However, if you do boil it down to the basics, yes, this this is true. I won't say strongly agree because there is a lot of nuance to this. Like I say, I I don't like to take personal responsibility out of any of this, but the system the systems and the environment that has been created over the last few decades, it it is not it's not helpful. It is not conducive to us being a healthy society.
So, I don't put 100% blame on people gaining weight. However, I will still always say it is your decision to put the food down your throat. So I will say I agree. However, there is a lot of nuance to this and it is simple. It is not easy. I will always say that it is simple. It is not easy. Question 18. It is okay to be fat as long as you're healthy. Well, if you're fat, you're not healthy. Depending on your body fat percentage. If you're a woman with more than 30% body fat, you are not healthy.
If you're a man with over, I believe it's 25% body fat, you are not healthy.
Number one, fat people should be trying to lose weight. Number two, it's okay to be fat and healthy. Number three, it's okay to be fat and unhealthy. What? Fat people should not have to pursue health or weight loss. It is not okay to be fat. I'm going to say it is not okay to be fat. I don't think Yeah, this is hard. I do think fat people should be trying to lose weight. I think you should want more for yourself. I think you should want more for your physical health and your mental health.
I don't think anyone really wants to be fat. Because if you sit down and truly think about what you dislike about being fat, you will come up with a myriad of things. A lot of people like to say, "Oh, I'm happy with being fat. I'm happy with being fat." But it's just a cope.
It's a cope because they're not willing to make the change or they don't want to make the change right now. But if I had a button, I don't have any buttons over here. If I had a button, beep beep. I push it. You push it and it makes everyone into a healthy their healthy slash ideal body. I guarantee you everyone's going to push the [ __ ] button. Everyone's going to push it. I'm not saying you have to be thin. No one is saying that. I actually speak against wanting to be thin or wanting thinness like as a goal. But yeah, fine. Fat people should be trying to lose weight.
Sorry. Sorry. It is okay to be fat and healthy. I I I guess I'll check that too because if you do fall into that like 7% of people who are like fat/obese who are healthy for now, I guess I guess that's fine. But you should still ideally not want excess body fat. If a fat person cannot fit onto an airplane seat, it's their fault. They should be required to purchase an extra seat. First one is fat people should get an extra seat for free at the cost of the airline. Eventually, all seat prices will probably increase.
You can [ __ ] the right [ __ ] all the I can't even speak right because that answer is [ __ ] crazy to me. Anyone who thinks that someone who has done something that led to a consequence of not being able to enjoy a product that most people can enjoy one of. They have done something to make it so they have to have two of that product. Their own actions. No one's forcing you to be this big. No one's also forcing you to fly.
Flying is a luxury. Let's just start with that. For someone to think someone should get that free and because of that now everyone else's cost is going to go up. [ __ ] off. disrespectfully [ __ ] off.
I do not believe in encouraging and rewarding people for their bad behavior.
Why the should I or anyone else have to pay more because someone else decided to be a glutton and eat so much [ __ ] food that they can no longer fit into one seat. I did what I needed to do. The vast majority of people also did what they needed to do, which is not glutton themselves to the point of spilling into someone else's seat, but you want them to pay for it. What? Get the [ __ ] out.
These types of people are entitled as and they want to be oppressed. Get Get out of my face. Get the [ __ ] face.
Sorry. All seats should be made bigger.
Everyone pays a higher price. And then third is fat people should have to purchase an extra seat if they cannot fit in the ones available. Yeah, obviously I don't see how any of any of these other questions are right. I I mean I am biased about the seats being made bigger because I am small. I'm 4' 11. I say it all the time. People hate it, which is why I keep saying it. Yeah.
No, I don't need the seat to be bigger.
Should they be? Yeah. Yes, they they should be a little bit bigger. Fat people should have to pay more for wedding gowns and small body people.
One, no. Even if all dress size prices are raised. What the [ __ ] two. Yes, a size 18 requires significantly more material cost than a size two.
Obviously, join the fat phobia free club. No, skip this step. All right, let's see. Let's see my results. Your fat phobia is showing your inclusion of other humans based on body size has limits. This is harmful. All right, let's let's see how harmful it is.
Answering some of these questions in this quiz probably really challenged some of your core beliefs. Actually, no.
My core beliefs were not challenged at all actually because my core beliefs about this topic are rooted in reality and the truth and science.
That's okay. This is super normal. Oh, she sounds like that diet for lady that I don't like. That is super not cool. I wonder if this is her. Oh, look. She, this lady down here is a registered dietitian. It's another skinny white lady. How ironic. All right. All right.
Let's go back. In fact, it's where pretty much everyone starts out when they want to recognize the biases they might have against other humans. The fact that you're even here taking this quiz shows me that you are a loving and caring person who, like the rest of us, has been completely swindled by the BS, which is diet culture. Um, yes, I am loving and I am caring. And I am so loving and caring that I created a whole YouTube channel and I now dedicate my life to dispelling this [ __ ] and reminding people that they are not a lost cause. They are not meant to be fat. Their genetics are not making them fat. Do they do not have to stay fat and that they deserve to be in a happy and a healthy body and that they can actually do it. That is what makes me loving and caring. I am loving and caring to the people watching this who know they have to make a change. If that is you, hello.
I am so glad you are here. You deserve to make a change. You deserve to be happy. You deserve to be healthy. You deserve to treat your body with respect.
And being in a fat body, you are not treating your body with respect. Eating so much food, drinking so many drinks, even if it's not alcohol, just like liquid liquid calories, is not showing your body respect. Not going outside getting sunlight, bed rotting, spending hours and hours and hours and hours and hours on your phone. Not following a normal sleep schedule, not staying hydrated, not getting exercise. That is not loving and caring your body. That is why I am here. And that is why I will die on this hill. that people who speak out against this no matter there obviously there's different types of people in this niche. There are people who are nicer, people who are softer, people who say things and they wrap it up in a nice pretty bow and they hand it to you gently and that's fine. And then there's people like me who takes it and I throw it at your [ __ ] face because sometimes that's just what you need. I throw it at your face lovingly. I'm not going to throw it like this. I'm going to like I'm going to lob it lobb it at you gently. I'm going to say get get your ass up. Let's go. You can make the change and you deserve to make the change. We are the loving and the caring people. Fat acceptance health at every size is not. It is not. There is nothing loving and caring about seeing someone who is unhealthy. Yes, being fat is unhealthy. Yes, being obese is unhealthy. Period. Point blank. End of discussion. Them seeing you and saying, "No, this is fine. How is that loving or caring? You're going to die. You're going to die quicker. You're you're going to die sooner. You're going to die in more pain. You might lose a leg. You might lose your eyesight, actually. And a leg, maybe. How is that loving and caring? Huh? Explain. Explain.
Recognizing your bias is the first step to ditching fat phobia. No, I will not be ditching it.
If what I say and what I stand for is considered fat phobia to these people, I don't give a [ __ ] I don't care. I don't care. I will make a [ __ ] shirt.
Instead of I love calories up there, it's going to say fat phobic. We are all participants in the system of oppression. You're not oppressed if you're fat. You are the majority, so [ __ ] off. Which is diet culture.
However, how we choose to advocate for all bodies determines how you influence the system. Um, sweetheart, I am influencing the system. You can go in any part of my any of my videos comment sections. You can go on my Instagram.
You can't go in my DMs, obviously, but you go in my DMs. You go in my email.
the amount of people who message me and say, "I have changed my life because of you. I I can't even I It's impossible to keep up." Thank you. Also, by the way, if you are someone who sends me those types of messages on Instagram, it is hard to get through it. It is hard. It is a great problem to have. It brings a lot of joy to me and I feel very grateful and blessed. Remember that you're doing the work, not me. I may be the catalyst, but you're doing the work.
So, please be proud of yourself. If I don't respond to the message, that simply means I have not seen it yet. I'm not ignoring you. I promise if I open it and see it, I will always either react to it like with the emoji and or write back a response. So that is how I am influencing the system. I'm influ influencing the system by encouraging people to be in a healthy body size.
Whether that's losing body fat because they are obese or gaining body fat if they are underweight. I'm encouraging people, specifically women, to lift weights, to start to strength train, to take their health more seriously so they can stay independent in their old years.
You, the person, whoever made this [ __ ] probably won't be making it to your old years if you were obese. I'm just I'm just saying the people that I'm helping, they will be. So, you can either contribute to holding up this toxic system of oppression by promoting fat shaming beliefs or be part of the resistance. How about you resist resist the [ __ ] fast food? Huh? How about that? That tears it down. Here are some tips to help you. All right, let's let's read these tips so I can we can make honey bison not fat phobic anymore.
Learn all you can about body liberation and fat positive movements. Dig into hayes health at every size podcast and blogs. Sure. And guess what? I'm gonna be reacting to that [ __ ] Subscribe to this blog. No. Which will send you weekly blog posts that will challenge weight ccentric beliefs and help you work through where your biases are, where your bias is stemming from. Maybe actually I will and then I can just use this as content. Yeah, maybe I will subscribe to them. Get comfortable with feeling uncomfortable. Yeah, this is something I'd say to people who do want to get into a healthier healthier body because growth and comfort do not coexist. Challenging long-held beliefs that you truly believed were building people up can feel like an identity crisis. [ __ ] off. You may have truly believed, for example, that fat people should be trying to lose weight to achieve a better better health standard which can make them happier. I mean, yes, if you are over a certain body fat percentage, yes, you should absolutely lose body fat to be healthier. This is very well understood and the science supports me. You may be trusting the experts when they said keeping a healthy BMI will prevent chronic disease. Yes, this is true. These have always been these have always been the people we were taught to trust and I believe you just wanted to do good in the world.
Have grace with yourselves. I know I had to. Well, that just tells me you gave up. So, that's sad. Be ready to admit when you've been wrong. I'm not wrong.
You are wrong. I have no problem admitting when I am wrong. Not Not an issue of a thing. Not not an issue that I have. You You were wrong, Sheena. I think I don't I don't know if she wrote this. Sorry, Sheena. If you're catching strays in this, sorry, but I just see your face right down here. This can be super challenging, but it is critical for our own growth. Okay. The only thing you're growing is your [ __ ] visceral fat. Coming home to our own bodies. What the [ __ ] does that mean? Were you Were you on vacation and then you came home to it? Like I Why are these people so detached from their body? You are your body. You are the reason why your body looks the way it does. Also, by the way, coming home to our own bodies and honoring that all bodies are good bodies. That's that's just not true either. This type of rhetoric rhetoric keeps people stuck and it keeps them unhealthy. Fat phobia is harmful. Yeah, obesity is even more harmful. I hope that you will take this journey even though it feels unfamiliar and scary.
People in all body sizes deserve love, respect, and equal access. That's true.
I will push back on the equal access though because some of the equal access that fat acceptance people are asking for is [ __ ] ridiculous. People in larger bodies deserve to seek healthcare without stigma and shame. That's fair.
I'll sure. Let's do this together. Share your results. I'm sharing [ __ ] Well, I'm sharing it with all of you guys.
This was hella funny. This was really freaking funny. I should take more of these. Who is this? Work with me. I should work with her. I can use it. Oh, she has an Instagram. Let's see what the Instagram says. Peace and nutrition. ED RD. Again, this is this is a great example of why you should not blindly trust all registered dieticians. Um, so many of them are just [ __ ] cuckoo wackadoo. So, I've boycotted the Insta.
Book an appointment now or follow me on YouTube. Oh, she has a YouTube. Oh, this is this She is probably Okay, where's her? Here we go. Here's her YouTube. Why you keep keep hinge eating? Well, the the thumbnails are not not great. I like the colors, but they're This is not the type of thumbnail you want to have if you are trying to attract an audience.
This is not a clickable thumbnail. Well, maybe we'll go through her videos one day. Does she have any shorts? Like, why does she have these random Is this a real person? Why does she have like these random people? Who are these people? This lady look she looks crazy.

My head's going to get stuck like that. I changed my braces colors. I got teal again. They also I'm going to like show you guys inside my mouth. Come on. Um they activated my chain, too. People ask like why you have braces. I have a I have a Britain my British tooth that grows like this. This one goes and then because of that these teeth have been shifting and then I have one tooth that was like sideways like this. I felt it like year by year I guess shifting more and more and then I felt it with my tongue like right before I went to the the first appointment and it just felt it felt different. I looked in the mirror that thing was like it was like this. So I said all right it's time to fix these fix these things. So, the spring pushes the teeth this way. And this was the third activation. So, I've actually noticed like this tooth, it's been moving back this way. It's so cool.
Braces are Look up how how it works like how your bone your teeth move through your bone and then it does like bone remodeling. It's It's really cool. But anyway, yeah, I got I got tail again. I really like tail. I think it looks good.
