[00:00:00]Um, this is actually an important story.

[00:00:02]Okay, so Emma, can you can you read it, please?

[00:00:05]>> When I was little, I was at the place of an old lord and he had peers of extraordinarily flavor and smell in his garden. He gave me some to taste and some for eating. I asked him, "Do you have many trees in your garden like this that give this fruit?" He answered, "I have a lot of big old trees and a few young ones." I said to him, "I will steal fruit from your garden and cut branches so I can plant them myself in my own garden." The Lord said, "If you manage to steal them, then they will be yours. I won't do anything bad to you for it. But if I catch you in the garden, then I will do with you as I please." That garden was surrounded by a strong high wall. Taking a long pole, I measured the height of the wall, and having gathered some lads in the woods, I had them make a ladder for that height. Having immediately concluded that there must be some kind of trick here trick here. When I got there, I first climbed up the ladder and I noticed a long cord lying along the wall. I concluded immediately uh that there was some kind of trap not threading on the cord at all. I looked uh I looked for the place where it ended. And I noticed that at the end of the cord there hung a pistol attached so that whoever moved the cord immediately the weapon would fire and the report would give a sign. Immediately I caught hold of the hammer unwounded and have having emptied the pen cut the pistol off the cord and took it for myself.

[00:01:33]Then thereafter I ordered my lads to climb the wall and we stole whatever we wanted. I cut three branches off his tree too and carried them off to my garden. In the morning, the court see uh the Lord seized and recognized the theft. Thereafter, he posted a lot of guards to stand watch in the garden at night. What did I do? I went with my boys and we all stood around stood around the wall and fired guns so that we did not allow the guards to sleep. I this I did this for three nights, night after night, the guards being worn out.

[00:02:07]I didn't I didn't go to the fourth night. The guards settled down to sleep.

[00:02:11]Thereafter, I returned with my peasants and began to steal. That lord sent for me, but I would go only with one who had been there at the conversation. When I got there with him, the noble man began to get mad at me. Then that uh then that other said, "But you have such an agreement and so there was peace between us."

[00:02:32]>> Okay, so this is a really important story. Okay, so let me explain why.

[00:02:35]First of all, it's a rewriting of two different stories. It's a rewriting of the story of the Garden of Eden, right?

[00:02:41]When God told Adam and Eve, "Don't eat the fruit." And what the story is telling you is telling uh you is that it's not their fault, it's God's fault.

[00:02:50]Okay, that's number one. Number two is it's also rewriting of the story in um Augustine's um confessions. So Augustine is one of the main architects of Catholic Church.

[00:03:00]He writes a story of how when he was young, he and his friends went to steal peers from a tree and they stole the they stole the pierce and then and then he recognized that oh he did this not because he was hungry or because the peers were tasty. It's because he's an evil person. Okay. And what James Frank is saying is that's a stupid story.

[00:03:26]What God wants us to do is to break the rules of man so we can be more wealthy.

[00:03:34]Okay? And this is a story that's also metaphorical. He's telling his followers that God will not punish us if we break the laws.

[00:03:45]Okay? Because God cares about our creativity. God cares about our willingness to try new things, to explore, to test the boundaries. That's what God wants. So, as long as we do so and we don't break fundamental laws like killing other people or hurting other people that angers God, we'll be fine always. And I will show you how to do so. I will show you how to get power and not quit the laws of man. Don't worry about morality. Don't about convention taboos. These are all idiotic things that doesn't matter. We just made them up. Okay? What matters is that we gain more and more power. and I will show you how to do so through trickery and through deception. Yes.

Then philosophy become religion.

Okay. including the Greek mystery cults of Pythagoras uh including the Cabala. Okay. So it has scor it has scouted the entire history and found the best ideas of humanity and put them together to create Freemasonry. And the ultimate goal is for each of us to become a stone stoic unrelenting perfect faith. And then if we build if we put all humanity together and we're all stones then we can we can create the perfect temple of God. Okay? We can create God on earth. So imagine a pyramid. We're all stone in the pyramid.

[00:07:18]And we all have responsibility to become that stone through faith, through practice, through reflection. Okay. So Socrates should enter into Adam and produce Marcus Aurelius. So the height of humanity is reflection and reason where we surrender our emotions to geometry. Okay. Moscow's third Rome strategy are certain texts. Okay. So you have a Virgil's iniad which focuses on the importance of duty. Okay. Duty.

[00:07:55]Then you have St. Augustine's confessions and in his uh book he argues that we humans are proud. Okay. But whereas John Milton says pride is a good thing but allows us to achieve godhood. Um say says that pride is evil because pride moves us away from God. It makes us think we're better than God. So it moves us to Satan. Therefore, our life should be a journey into defeating our ego, our selfishness and our pride and embracing God. Okay, this something that um Toy Basi talks about in his book Crime and Punishment. So, Crime in the in the um book Crime and Punishment, the protagonist wants to become a superhuman. He he wants to prove he's better than everyone else. And so to do that, he decides to commit murder. Okay?

[00:08:59]He wants to show himself and to others that he is beyond morality, that he is a god. He's not constrained by emotions. And so he kills um his um landl. But then afterwards, he feels tremendous regret for what he did.

[00:09:19]And what saves him is his love for another for a woman. Okay? He submits himself to the power of love. He submits himself to the power of God and that's what redeems him in the end. Okay? So the argument here is that your belief in your own possibility of achieving godhood can only lead you to your own doom. Okay. What will save you? What will redeem you is to omit your mortality, omit your fallibility and to seek help from those around you and from God.

[00:10:02]Okay.

[00:10:04]All right. So, um this is something that Toy Story talks also about in his book Anacarina.

[00:10:11]Okay. So, we're going to read a passage from Anacarina.

[00:10:15]And then Anakinina is a woman who's obsessed with um finding love and she believes that through passion, through devotion, I can find true love and therefore complete myself. Okay. So she has an affair with a man named Count Ronssky. And in the beginning it's a wonderful thing. It brings her tremendous happiness. She leaves her husband. she leaves her um son. But eventually what she discovers is that this lust for another for a man in order to fill the void in her heart makes her even more empty and um she feels her life becomes more and more pointless. Okay. So she decides to kill herself. But before she kills herself, she has this internal monologue with herself. Okay? And this this is what she says. My love keeps growing more passionate and more egoistic, more selfish, more proud while his is waning and waning and that's why we're drifting apart. Okay? So she demands Krosky love her as much as she loves him. The problem is that she doesn't recognize that this love, it's not about love.

[00:11:40]It's about control. Okay?

[00:11:43]She wants him to be as devoted to her as she is to him. Okay? She wants to control him and he rebelss against his control. Okay? And so he starts to drift away because he wants to maintain his freedom.

[00:12:01][snorts] See what I'm using? And there's no help for it. He has everything everything for me. I want to I want him more and more to give himself up to me entirely. Okay. So she wants him to surrender himself completely to her. She wants to become God and she he wants she wants to make him the servant. Okay.

[00:12:19]This is not about love. It's about power.

[00:12:22]And he wants more and more to get away from me. We walk to meet each other up to the time of our love and then we have been irrespons and there's no altering that. He tells me I'm insanely jealous and I have told myself that I am insanely jealous but it's not true. I'm not jealous but I'm unsatisfied.

[00:12:43]Okay. But she opened her lips and shifted her place in the carriage in the excitement aroused by the thought that suddenly struck her. If I could be anything but a mistress passionately caring for nothing but his caresses. But I can't and I don't care to be anything else. And my desire I rouse aversion in him and he rouses fury in me and it cannot be different. Don't I know that he would deceive me? That he has no schemes about Princess Shakina that he's not in love with Kitty that he won't desert me. I know all that. But it makes me it makes it no better for me. Without loving me from duty, he'll be good and kind to me. Without what I want, that's a thousand times worse than unkindness.

[00:13:20]That's hell. And that's just how it is.

[00:13:22]for a long while now he hasn't loved me and where love ends hate begins. I don't know these streets at all. Hills it seems and still houses. Okay. And so she's going to go kill herself because she recognizes that she's been living a lie. She thought that if I truly love him then he will love me back.

[00:13:46]She wants to become God. And what she doesn't recognize is that as a human, she has an ego. And so when you she thinks she's loving Kranssky unconditionally, but in fact what what she's trying to do is control him and have him obey her unconditionally.

[00:14:06]Okay, that's the difference between God and human. Where God is all knowing, all forgiving, all generous, all love. But a human can't do that. And when a human tries to become a god, a human can only become a tyrant.

[00:14:25]Okay? And that's a lesson from Toy Story. Don't think you can you can become God. You can only destroy yourself as well as others around you.

[00:14:36]And so what um uh Toy Story will do is that he will contrast Anakina with a man named Levan. Okay. And Levan is different. Levan rather than trying to seek happiness and passion, he just submits himself to duty and to to tradition. He marries a woman he loves and then he spends all his time being responsible to her as well as to himself as well as to the household. He just does what he's supposed to do. And by doing that, by submitting his freedom, by submitting himself to duty and tradition, he makes himself truly happy.

[00:15:21]Okay? So really the argument between America and Russia is a different understanding of the story of Adam and Eve. For the Americans, they believe that Eve's disobedience is a good thing because it's what leads to to progress.

[00:15:39]It's what leads to um um achievement.

[00:15:46]Americans believe that godhood is possible and it's a good thing. The Russians are different. They believe that Eve disobeyed because she was too proud and she does not recognize the limitations of her humanity and perfection is not possible. Progress is not possible. What is good is recognizing our limitations and submitting ourselves to the power of God. Okay? So that's why Russia and America cannot reconcile because not only do they have geopolitical differences, but fundamentally the way they perceive the world is different and they're fighting to impose their own reality on others. So the first thing you need to do is move from materialism to spirituality.

[00:16:39]Right now the entire world these nation states have con convinced the population what matters is your material well-being.

[00:16:50]If you are driving a car, if you have a house, if you have enough food to eat, then you should shut up and obey because we're doing your job. Okay? But in the future, governments can't do that because there's not enough resources go around. Therefore, if the government has to make you believe that what matters is your happiness, your well-being, your spirituality. And that that usually means um a renewed focus on religion.

[00:17:23]Okay, that's the first thing. Uh the American Holy Empire, the nation that is most capable of surviving the next few decades of tribulation of crisis is America. Why? Because America is so incredibly incredibly wealthy.

[00:17:43]Okay? It's protected by two oceans. It really controls Canada and Mexico. So think of America as not just the continent continent of America but really as entire North American and Latin American. Okay, that entire sphere is basically America. So it has unlimited resources. It has unlimited population and also America and the Americans are the most creative, the most entrepreneurial, the most the most energetic people in the world. So I wouldn't bet against America. All right.

[00:18:14]But what I think will happen is that America will need a new identity in order to survive the age of tribulation.

[00:18:24]They will go from past Judea sorry past Americana which is a secular global um idea to one that is much more nationalistic that is more focused on community and nation that means embracing Christianity. Okay. Right. And I think that Christianity is will be the force that rebuilds America after um the many crisis America will face over the next few years.
