[00:00:04]Ruaha National Park, Tanzania. Canadian photographer Scott Heiman followed an adult male leopard over 1 hour on foot, then the leopard froze.

[00:00:19]The mother lion was away hunting. The leopard found them alone.

[00:00:24]It launched, grabbed a cub. The cub was alive, screaming. The leopard ran, climbed a tree. Heiman filmed everything from 40 ft.

[00:00:34]Here's the part nobody expected. The leopard ate the cub. Alive, head to tail, bones and all, in the tree.

[00:00:44]Heiman said later, "It dropped a leg while eating, but kept going.

[00:00:49]Nothing was left."

[00:00:51]Leopards avoid lions. Lions are three times their size.

[00:00:55]This sighting was so rare, local guides had never seen it in their entire careers.
