[00:00:00]What is up? Welcome back to another edition of Sac-Town Movie Buzz. Once again, it's your boy here, The Critic, back to continue my series of my top 75 one crazy day, one crazy night films.

[00:00:10]Coming in at number 26 is going to be The First Purge. Let's get into it. Um so The Purge has already appeared on the countdown previously. Uh The First Purge is actually one of the films that came out after the the first series of The Purge films. Um and it basically really kind of explained how The Purge came about. Uh essentially, uh the government wanted to Crime was basically not really happening, so the government wanted to basically push the crime rate, um I guess, even lower.

[00:00:38]Um and so, what they did is they decided to come out with a purge where you have that one day where individuals and they kind of set it in like a real small area where people could go and and basically crime was legal for that one particular night. Of course, as we know, it ended up spreading to multiple areas, and then they continued to do this on a yearly thing, and then instead of just having it in one controlled area, they, you know, basically, in the US, basically, The Purge just ran wild and rampant. Um yeah, I definitely did like this one, um quite a bit. Um I know the reviews for this one, I think were a little bit less than some of the previous ones, but I thought it would be a lot of fun. Um you know, it's just, you know, a a night of just people going crazy and trying to kill each other and debauchery and people trying to stay safe and running for their lives and things of this nature. Uh definitely has you on the edge of your seat. Uh definitely has you engaged and in tune in what's going on with the story, and so I liked it for that one. Um you know, I probably prefer the the first one, uh the actual first one that came out, and maybe even the the Frank Grillo ones were pretty good as well. Um but this one I think is is an excellent addition to the series, and uh if they make another Purge, I'll watch it. Uh let me know down in the comments, have you seen The First Purge?
