Iran Scholar: U.S. Knew Iran War Would Be Quagmire

[00:00:05]Did you think Iran would be, let's go back to 2024, Donald Trump is going to Dearbornne, Michigan and telling the Lebanese, Iranian, Palestinian communities, vote for me. I'm not campaigning with Liz Cheney. There'll be no wars in the Middle East under my watch. You go back to that time. Did you ever imagine that Iran will be what actually basically destroys any myth of Trump the Dove?

[00:00:25]Yes, because he was getting a lot of money from very pro-Israel forces and Miriam Admir Adlesen and many of the others. The the Middle East since 1979 with Iran's revolution has become the workshop of war. It is the place where different kinds of warfare, different kinds of surveillance technologies, different types of ways of of dealing and handling human beings has become acceptable. And then it is a place where once that is workshopped, once those tools are sort of perfected, then they begin to travel to other parts of the world and they be they're traded in all of these ways. The United States is addicted to forever wars in the Middle East. Uh and they have been gunning many different parts of the US foreign policy establishment for a war with Iran. Yes.

[00:01:14]Uh it was the top brass actually of the United States military who knew and who had done multiple war games and they knew that a war with Iran would be a quagmire for the United States simply because of the size of the country. It's the size of Western Europe. Um and it is full of mountains. It is a nightmare for any kind of military intervention. Uh but yet they found a president uh that they had bought enough, had enough blackmail on, and who um was frankly kind of stupid enough to to do this war.
