Inside an Abandoned 1915 Farmhouse With a Flooded BasementAdded:
We're starting this explore off of this abandoned house. And I came we when Zay and I pulled up, she's like, "It looks kind of like it's not really abandoned."
So I'm like, "I'm going to go check it out." I was pretty sure. Then I get up here and see Peter Pit.
And the date is April 8th, 2026.
Guys, this is literally the 11th. This is three days ago that this was posted or this was left here. Uber Eats.
Buffalo chicken pa. So, someone's out there. Buffalo chicken pa.
Pamela S.
Yeah. So, Pamela S, sorry about your pa.
There it is. Your buffalo chicken pa's right here.
But guys, let's go check this place out.
Now, this is Zing with Zay My Gear right here because Zay's already inside.
So, right there, that's the back entrance way. And you got yourself a bathroom right here. And look at this.
Someone's actually painted.
Well, look at this. Julia and Dave, 1996.
So, I guess Julia and Dave either did the painting or they did the uh tile and the painting.
This is actually a nice little bathroom back here.
Oh, who do we got here? Does anyone say we got Rosie and Opie? Hi, Rosie. Rosie, this is your first explorer.
We brought the dogs and Ros's first explorer. Opie's been on many. He's a veteran at exploring.
But this is actually a pretty big bathroom back here. And I like this sink cuz it's like utilitarian.
It's like a laundry tub kind of thing, which makes sense because over here was the laundry laundry room area, but that's right now it's just serving for storage for Zing was on my uh camera gear.
But now, right away, guys, we are inside the kitchen and this is actually pretty nice in here. I mean, it's obviously been upgraded. This is an old country home. I believe this is from actually I saw it on the side of the house. I'll have to say it. I'll point it out in the intro or the beginning or something. I don't know.
This is a early 1900's home and obviously someone spent some big bucks to upgrade it. I mean, it's looking pretty nice in here except for the laminate flooring. And guys, as I'm walking through, I can feel it all buckling. Oh, here we've got a little bit of look at the past. There was beautiful hardwood flooring under here that they decided to cover up.
That's a gas line, I see. Yeah, it's like all the laminate is buckling.
You see, we got the serving staircase right there or the back stairs to the uh kitchen area. It's almost hard to imagine what this would have looked like back in the day. Nice little details on all the little cupboards. Look at all these little Oh, okay. It's kind of ridiculous, actually.
But moving on. So, I'm assuming this is going to be your dining room. Wow, the floor is super wonky. This is going to be your dining room right off the kitchen area.
And it looks that looks like fake tin. I thought it was real tin ceiling. Nice medallion.
This is a beautiful room. Nice big high ceilings like old farm houses had.
Then they put this cheap like Wayne Scotting up.
But like you see, you know, with all this modernization, you still got the old features like this. Great.
This is actually pretty cool. Here you got a sun room. Nice enclosed sun room.
Big. And it's super bright as you can see right now.
Go a little peek on this porch. And guys, I'd love to have a porch like this covered almost a It's like a threeseason one, but I still kick it out here in the winter.
Oh, there's Zay right there.
Now, this is kind of a nice little feature. A little bit of like a gazebo area.
Oh, there's an old remnants of a swing set right there.
I see another kind of a jungle gym over there.
And that's door into the kitchen. Oh, I'll get out of Zay's way, actually.
Okay, let's go back in the way we came. Yeah, this is going to be uh up for development unfortunately.
Oh, looks like there would have been a window down there. So, plenty of renovations over the the decades.
Oh, so we've already been this. Sorry, guys. I'm getting lost.
I'm loving the size of this room, though.
These rooms.
What's this right here? Is that one of those little rock hard? That's got to be That's concrete. So, that must have been for like a chimney or something. Yeah, cuz there's That's not But this is That right there is concrete.
So, it must be a hole for an old chimney pipe.
This is where Zay came out. So, this is your front staircase. And this is actually pretty sweet. You've got a nice little the landing and then up then up and oh, I can see black mold making an appearance out there, guys. That means there's uh water in this place. Water's getting in.
We're back to the kitchen. But let's go see what's downstairs. The basement.
I see a black mold there. Oh, and yeah, as you can see, we got a couple feet of water. I'm not going to even trust these stairs, guys, because I don't want to fall down the stair or fall into the basement of 3 ft of basement dirty water. So, that's going to be that tells you right now like this house looks pretty clean. You don't have a clean house with a ingground pool in the basement typically.
Oh.
Like someone did some really terrible painting here. Like look at this. Who does that?
Oh, right here too. Like what the hell?
Obviously, they didn't they didn't have any extension poles or whatever for their rollers.
This room looks nice and bright and cheerful. Nice bathroom. Big bathroom.
Look at those lights. I think those are all like '9s era. Those h hallogen lights that are just super freaking hot.
This is nice, too.
There's the uh front covered patio. It's kind of crappy looking on the top, but the below is nice.
Definitely had dogs.
Mind you, I know dogs don't do that.
We got Bronson's room here. Wow, look at this. It cracked the whole ceiling.
The house must be shifting because of all that moisture that's inside of it.
And these are all glow-in-the-dark stickers here. See if I can get some of them activated here, guys. Here you go.
See?
Bronson's room. Oh yeah, we got a little bit of heaving up there, too.
Oh my god. Looks like there's a spiral staircase here. Yep. But we're going to go check. We'll go to get to that. Oh wow, look at this room. So this looks like it's a girl's room. And we've got a sky painted here. It's pretty cool.
Nice big window.
And this be the kind of like place you can sit here and watch a storm coming across that farm field there. That's pretty sweet. I'd love to have a big window like this in my room if I was a kid. Especially if I got whatever that net is and the sky painted. That's some nice clouds.
Yeah, that's some serious issues right there. I'm wondering if it's like It kind of looks like someone poked a hole in it to let water out.
Yeah, right there there's a hole that looks like it's been poked. And I thought I saw water down there.
This is probably going to be your master bedroom. They were artistic, you know, they put up this stick tape stuff to give it the uh illusion of a wall of wood slats.
It's actually interesting. There's been so many upgrades to this place. You wouldn't realize that the home was probably built, I believe it's like 1915 or something, which is pretty cool.
So, this is the back of that spiral staircase. But what's this thing? Lay down your hurt. Lay down your heart.
Come as you are. Lay down your burdens.
Lay down your sha shame. Wanderer, come home. Stop monitoring the things you have left in God's hands. This vacancy that sat in my heart is a space that now that now you hold. I'm just a beggar in the presence of a king. Here I am, Lord.
I'm all yours cuz you you use broken things. Okay.
Some wise words there, I guess.
Little bathroom here. So, on suite bathroom and there's those back staircase that we saw earlier.
But let's go check out what this spiral staircase business is about.
Oh, look at this. That's super cool.
Oh, there's like a room up here.
That's awesome.
Smells like cedar big time.
Wow.
Big old TV. Oh, it's been busted.
Someone looks like they kicked it.
Look at the flies.
All coming alive cuz of the sun.
What's this? There's like secret passages.
Oh, it's just into the attic. Okay, but there is over here a secret door.
Oh, look at there's like a little pulley thing. Oh, jeez. You got to be like It's tight.
Oh, it's like a little storage room.
There's your attic access again.
Yeah, we need to go in there.
Clean.
Is this like mouse trap?
Some sort of game.
Now, there's another room over here. If I can get out of this one.
Oh, it's a bedroom. This is a sick little apartment.
Wow, that's sweet. I'd love to have this as my bedroom. If you're a teenager, you could have like that little chill area.
You got your bedroom up here.
Pretty sweet.
Now, this is a pretty cool spot, guys.
So, Z said there's another entrance over here. Oh, there it is.
It's like a basement entrance, maybe. I don't know.
Oh, yeah. Oh, there's like another apartment down here. And it's so flooded.
That's a little better view for you guys. So, there. There you go. not getting in this basement.
So guys, here we are out front and I don't know if you can see way up the top there, but that the marker says 1915. So super old house. Lots of modernizing over the years for sure, but still a really cool spot.
