For those that missed the last stream, the last stream, baby lore recap. And you deserve it because you guys went to ad jail, but you won't get ads for another hour. This is lore recap. Okay, ready? Ready. That's an impressive streakage recap time. So, basically, last time we were here, we had a party.
It was a lovely party. It was for the tournament that took place uh in the span of a week. Us, the fellas, were doing so well. We're doing so well. We were winning for almost the whole entire week, but last minute we got sniped by the loopy people. And I don't know how that happened, but that's fine. They won. So, they got to host the party at the loopy dorm. The cool thing about being second place is we didn't have to do any work. And we got paid a stack of gems, which was fantastic. We didn't have to do any work. We just showed up, ate, had fun, danced, had a good time, and and and then we got paid. Now, the people who went third place, they had to they had to do stuff. They had to provide stuff for the party. And then the loopies had to do a whole kind of work to make the thing look pretty. So we didn't have to do nothing. So second place actually is first place in my heart and I don't mind it. And it was nice. I was expecting something really bad to happen, but nothing bad nothing bad happened at all. It was a lovely day. We had fun and nothing bad happened. What h but but that's not the end of the story because what happens is after the party was done that's when bad things happen because water and sniff decided it would be a good idea to do a ritual that gets rid of um their nightmares and that's I understand cuz a nightmare is not fun and if there's a way to get rid of a nightmare I'll do it too and supposedly the ritual wasn't a corrupted ritual it was fine it the the the the author of the ritual was was not the the bad one that we know that the rituals happen. So everything went fine. Snif did it. Sniff cured. Cured. No more nightmares.
Everything's fine. So they thought, you know what? LET'S DO IT AGAIN. BUT THIS TIME, Water can do it because Water's been having nightmares, too. But guess what happened? Guess what happened?
Guess what happened? Lore sounds.
All of a sudden, the book changed authors.
And when water did it, it turned into a corrupted ritual. The nightmares returned and corruption spread across the lands.

And for now, I'm keeping those two in my in my list of Let's keep a Let's keep an eye on them because something happened there. Once that corrup corrupted ritual happened, THE CAPITAL WAS ATTACKED BY A GIANT COW. I don't know what how that happened. Why a giant cow specifically? Is that lore?

This is what we got for by the keeper, the caring thing. This is where we got the um the herbs. So, hold on. I never got to read this. Wait. The healers were the first to suffer by accident. No one warned them it had been turned. Sister Ellen laid her glowing hands over a soldier's broken ribs and whispered the old blessing. Silver light ble bloomed between her fingers.

Then it twisted. The blessing screamed.
Ellen gasped as the magic was pulled from her palm.
Not gently, not cleanly, but the thread ripped from flesh. The soldier's bones began to mend and then cracked again.
Then mend wrong. His blood sealed too fast beneath the skin, swelling with trapped pain. "Stop!" he begged. Ellen tried. It kept drinking. Across the room, fever charms shattered. Burn salves turned black. A child's healing light flickered and vanished, leaving only smoke and the smell of iron. The healers wept because their gifts still wanted to save. But every blessing they cast became a wound before it became mercy.
Deep below the iron wheel turned on. And every healer above learned the same terrible truth. Iron did not hate magic.
It simply did not care who needed it. It drank.
