Ramaphosa's ESCAPE PLAN? Xenophobic ATTACKS INCREASE

[00:00:00]Listen, we need to talk about timing, about distraction, about who benefits when a nation's attention is divided.

[00:00:09]While the Mazanga Commission is exposing the most significant criminal infiltration of South Africa's justice system in decades, while officials are being arrested, while evidence of the big five cartels control over police, over politics and commerce is emerging, South Africa is all of a sudden now talking about xenophobia.

[00:00:41]When we're this close to finding out everything, suddenly March and March exists again and they're organizing protests again. Suddenly the foreign nationals are being attacked again.

[00:00:50]>> We are calling on government to declare an a state of emergency for illegal immigration that is currently happening in the country under the banner of this being an invasion of the country.

[00:01:04]We also would like to call for the legislation to pass laws to reserve township economy for South African small businesses only.

[00:01:15]And we call upon the president to address the nation in respect to the issues raised above before the 30th of June 2026 as our people want to take to the streets on the 30th of June 2026 if this issue is not addressed correctly.

[00:01:33]Mother Teresa once said, "When a poor person dies of hunger, it has not happened because God did not take care care of him or her. It happened because neither you nor I wanted to give that person what he or she needed. Our people want justice and they want it now. Let us all rise to save our country, save our people from hunger and inequality.

[00:01:57]South Africa will be great again. It just needs all of us to rise and defeat our enemy. And tomorrow we must all rise and play a role to defend our heritage.

[00:02:11]>> All of a sudden the narrative has now shifted from holding the powerful accountable people to blaming people who came to this country looking for work legally and illegally.

[00:02:24]Recently on Twitter, the number one trending thing about South Africa's nenophobia, the Madanga Commission has fallen off when it comes to hashtags because the attention has changed. Why at this time, why when we're this close to finding out who controls South Africa, xenophobia is real and it is evil and it is it must be condemned. But the timing of this xenophobia escalation is not coincidental.

[00:02:58]Many South Africans want their government to take stronger action against undocumented immigrants and tighten border security.

[00:03:05]>> Every time that we try to raise concerns about it, we're called and labeled as xenophobic and we just decided that we don't care. Hey, call us what you want, but we're not going to sit back and watch our country uh come to an end because of of people who we don't know that just walk in and claim they want better opportunities and a better life.

[00:03:24]We also deserve those opportunities and we deserve that better life. Police officers form a barrier between foreign nationals and South Africans.

[00:03:33]Those displaced by violent attacks are taken to verify their documents with the Department of Home Affairs. Of the hundreds of foreigners processed, immigration officials say only a few were undocumented.

[00:03:46]>> As a refugee, we are also being categorized into that class of foreigners and immigration. So we also being attacked. Whether you have a document or not, the locals are claiming that we also taking their jobs.

[00:04:00]>> These South Africans insist they are not targeting foreign nationals who are legally in the country. Political parties are under pressure from those demanding action on rising unemployment and illegal immigration.

[00:04:13]>> By the way, people are deported every day in South Africa. Literally every day. Um what we what we must deal with is that when you deport them, they must not come back.

[00:04:25]>> South Africa experiences recurring waves of xenophobic violence sometimes just before electoral cycles. Local government elections will be taking place in November.

[00:04:38]The people organizing this protest, I say they are tools whether they know it or not.

[00:04:46]Brown Mozi just got arrested. Now we know about Joe Ferrari and Kat Matala.

[00:04:51]All of a sudden Zuma's organizing march and march protests. The Big Five Cartel, a criminal enterprise that allegedly includes drug trafficking, tender fraud, contract killings, and extortion, has infiltrated the highest levels of South African government and law enforcement.

[00:05:11]The highest levels. The people who you think are there to serve you are against you. I've said this before and I will say this again. The government is not your friend. We know this because the Madanga Commission has been investigating this for 8 months, exposing connections between organized crime and politicians.

[00:05:30]We know this because Dumisani Kumalo testified under oath about the cartel, their structure, and their reach.

[00:05:40]We know this because senior police officers are currently being arrested.

[00:05:45]Julius Muanazi is in jail. We know this because money is being traced through WhatsApp messages. We know this because the system that was supposed to protect us is being revealed as captured by the same criminals they claim to protect us against. And then in April and May 2026, all of a sudden xenophobic violence surges. March and marches back. They are organizing violent protests again.

[00:06:09]Foreign nationals, legal or illegal, are just being attacked. And suddenly the national conversation shifts.

[00:06:17]This is social engineering at its finest.

[00:06:22]When the state is getting exposed, when the power is getting threatened, when accountability is emerging, history has shown us time and time again what governments do. They create an enemy.

[00:06:34]They give the people a scapegoat. They shift attention downward so that it doesn't look upward. When we were this close to finding out about the Epstein files, the secrets about Donald Trump, all of a sudden there's a war between Iran and Israel, and they want their Persian brothers and sisters to be released from the Islamic regime. Why in 2026? Why not last year? Oh, right.

[00:06:59]Trump was beefing with South Africa because of the white genocide claims.

[00:07:03]Could it be because South Africa took Israel to the ICJ?

[00:07:07]Think about it. Think about your life.

[00:07:09]Think about your actual problems. You don't have a job. Is that because the Somalian down the street owns a spaza shop? Is that because the Zimbabwean is teaching at a university with his qualifications? Is that because of the Mozambique doctor who worked hard for their position and now they work in a private hospital? No. You don't have a job because the government failed to create an economy that produces jobs. We are sick and tired with the Somalians, with the Pakistanians, with all with Nigerians and all illegal immigrants in this country.

[00:07:46]>> These protesters say they declaring war on illegal immigration and want to take their complaints right to the doorsteps of embassies across Pritoria. So protests like these have been springing up across South Africa in major cities like Ptoria, Johannesburg, Uata and Durban. This particular protest has been led to the Somali embassy in Ptoria and the protesters here um plan to raise issue with the Somali government about activities of their citizens in the country. The group who are wearing Zulu traditional dress initially sat down before the embassy gate saying they want to show respect. They demanded answers on a range of issues from crime to illegal immigration. But things got tense when they were unhappy with the answers from the Somali representatives.

[00:08:36]>> The group say they've given undocumented immigrants until the end of June to leave South Africa. They don't have any legal standing to make this demand.

[00:09:02]Many of the issues being raised by anti-immigration protesters have to do with South Africa's struggling economy, high crime, and the unemployment rate.

[00:09:12]>> There's 8 million young people that are not working in South Africa. It is not xenophobia. It is there 8 million unemployed people, youth. It's not the first time that anti-immigrant protests have flared up in South Africa. In 2008, 2017, and 2019, major cities saw xenophobic tension. Analysts say the issues keep coming up because the government has not yet resolved the core problems. We must also realize that government knows that it is also part of the problem. It is also part of the reason why um we we aren't able to have a checked wellac accounted for immigration system. So the system is failing everyone including immigrants.

[00:09:54]Um and and South Africans know the government is not going to step up.

[00:09:58]>> The government estimates that there are 3 million immigrants in South Africa, many from other African states. The foreign minister says African states must share the responsibility for the crisis. We do think that this is not a moment for for for for for pointing of fingers to say it's you South Africa and so forth because we need to deal with the root causes of the challenge. Um people why are people leaving their countries?

[00:10:26]>> You don't have a job because politicians stole money that was supposed to be invested in education and infrastructure. You don't have a job because the system is broken at the top.

[00:10:39]Not because of immigrants, but if you are angry, and you should be angry, and if the system can manage to make you redirect that anger towards people who just don't look like you, who sound different from you and came from somewhere else, even though it's literally the same continent, then suddenly you're not blaming the government. Now you're blaming the random Somalian down the street. You're blaming the foreigner for the government's problems. And what does the government suffer? Nothing. The government is going to receive their salary and then they get to claim that they are listening to your concerns while they continue to steal from you because they've given you an enemy. The Chinese guy who owns the Spaza shop and the hardware store down the street. I mean, this is not new. This is the oldest trick in the book. When the government is about to get exposed, find a scapegoat quickly so that the people can divert their attention to something else. Look at March and March, a movement that was founded ostensibly against illegal immigration. So that is a movement that claims to be about prioritizing South African citizens. But what does that actually mean? It means targeting all foreign nationals. It means attacking the shops. It means confronting people in the street and demanding answers and papers all of a sudden. It means functioning as these sort of vigilante arms of the state without the state's official endorsement which gives the state plausible deniability are much and much aware that they are being used. Probably not. Most people aren't aware they're in a cage. Most people aren't aware they're tools until it's too late. Just goes Zuma, the founder, says she's fighting illegal immigration. Well, let me ask you this.

[00:12:28]Her attacks involve documented and undocumented migrants. They put them all under one category. Her movement created a climate of fear amongst all foreign nationals, not just those without papers. Why?

[00:12:47]And the state again, they're just watching. They allow it to happen because that means you guys don't get to pay attention to what we're doing to you anymore. So while you're busy angry at the Spaza shop owners down the road, you're not being angry at the police commissioner who allegedly gave Matala 360 million rand and colluded with the criminals. You're not reading court documents about the big five cartel.

[00:13:13]You're not paying attention to the fact that senior officials are being arrested for corruption. You're focusing on the wrong thing. You're focused downward, not upward. Let me give you the facts.

[00:13:26]Okay. According to the Madanga Commission, the Big Five cartel has infiltrated South Africa's criminal justice system. According to testimony from Dumisani Kumalu, crime intelligence chief, the cartel's main activities are drugs, drug trafficking, hijackings, tender fraud, and contract killings.

[00:13:51]Y'all like to say, "Yeah, these Nigerians, they are selling drugs."

[00:13:54]Okay, some of them are, but look at the very top. Who does it the most? It's your people. According to arrests made in May 2026, senior police officers connected to the cartel are being charged with corruption related to 360 million rand tenders.

[00:14:15]According to evidence presented, members of this cartel have ties to politicians and business figures at the highest levels of South Africa. It's not me speculating. I'm not just talking. This is sworn testimony. This is documented evidence. This is the crime of the century in South Africa. Organized crime at the highest levels of this state.

[00:14:41]Your criminals are your government.

[00:14:44]And while this is happening, while the investigation is watching the justice system attempt to hold itself accountable, xenophobic violence surges all of a sudden. On April 17th, 2026, a 43-year-old foreign national shop owner in Durban, a man who has lived in South Africa for nearly 20 years was attacked by people believed to be affiliated with March and March. They broke down his door. They attacked him. They told him to leave just like that. I'm not saying because you've been here for a long time all of a sudden you're a legal national.

[00:15:22]No. In fact, the fact that you've been here for a long time gives you the chance to be legal, right? But listen to my point here. This is in April 2026, the same month the big five cartels connections to government are being exposed.

[00:15:38]This is the same month senior officials are being arrested.

[00:15:42]And in that same month, you decide to start attacking random foreign nationals when they tell you to. You absolute imbeciles. We are this close to finding who's controlling South Africa. And they've easily diverted your attention.

[00:15:58]You imbeciles. Is this coincidence or is this design? From South African to South African, I'm telling you that you are an imbecile for being easily misled. I'm going to tell you what I think. I think someone in power said, "Guys, we need a distraction. They are watching Madanga Commission and ad hoc committee way too much. We need the people focused on something other than what's happening at the Mahanga Commission. Ramaposa and Pala Pala, we are this close to finding out what happened. All of a sudden, xenophobia, xenophobia." We need the people angry angry at each other. They shouldn't be angry at us. We're trying to protect Raaposa. Right.

[00:16:39]>> Right. While the EFF has condemned what it calls the ANC's deliberate obstruction of the Palopal impeachment committee, the Red Berets say by withholding its nominees, the ANC is undermining the implementation of the independent panel report and is frustrating the lawful functioning of parliament. Of course, this comes as the ANC top brass met to map a way forward.

[00:17:04]>> So, they must be angry at each other.

[00:17:05]They must be angry at the foreign nationals so that while they're distracted, we try and clean we try and and and and clean everything up. Right.

[00:17:12]Right. That's what we do. Social engineer things and then while they're angry, we clean everything up.

[00:17:21]All of a sudden, xenophobic violence has increased. When Palapala farm thing came up, when the Madana Commission thing came up, xenophobia all of a sudden came. Suddenly march and march woke up in the organized protests. Suddenly foreign nationals are being attacked and the nation's attention shifts.

[00:17:41]This is the oldest form of control.

[00:17:44]Divide the people. Give them an enemy they can see. Someone different, someone foreign, someone easy to blame. That way they won't see the real enemy which is the system stealing from them. Now let me be absolutely clear on something like I always am. Not everyone in March and March is aware of this. They are not conscious about this. Not everyone at these protests understand that they are being used. Most people are genuine.

[00:18:18]They genuinely believe that they are against illegal immigration. Most people are frustrated. Most people are unemployed and angry and desperate and they're looking for someone to blame.

[00:18:28]It's understandable. It's human, but you've got the wrong guy. And the result is the same because you've got the wrong guy. Whether intentional or not, these protests serve the interests of those in power. They shift attention from state capture to immigrant blame. They shift focus from criminal infiltrating the ANC government to foreign nationals. They make the real problem, systematic corruption and policy failure, seem smaller than the imagined problem of immigration. They're making it look like it's the foreigners that are the reason why things are as bad as they are in South Africa. And you and me know that that is far from the truth.

[00:19:14]You couldn't be further from the truth.

[00:19:16]Here's what you need to understand about illegal immigration in South Africa.

[00:19:24]Home Affairs is responsible for border control.

[00:19:29]The government controls who enters and who exits this country. If there are 2.2 million undocumented immigrants in South Africa, and that's the estimation of the United Nations, by the way, then the government either cannot control its borders or has chosen not to. You pick one. You think it's the job of a taxi driver or a shop owner to police immigration?

[00:19:56]What authority does Justinta goes, a radio presenter, have to be organizing vigilante patrols? She has none.

[00:20:05]Immigration enforcement is the government's job. If it's not being done, that's the government's problem.

[00:20:11]It's a government failure. And instead of holding the government accountable for these pathetic failures, March and March by Jasin Dauma is doing the government's work for them. Vigilante enforcement that has gone very wrong. It allows the government to claim it is listening to citizen concerns while doing absolutely nothing to address the actual policy failure. This is manipulation, pure and simple. Tell me if I'm telling lies. And the reason it works is because unemployment is real.

[00:20:43]Economic failure is real. Poverty is real. Crime is real. Those are not things you can make up. Myself, I never grew up in the best of circumstances.

[00:20:56]Coming from an area where crime was like this, I can tell you crime is very, very real. Those things are not made up.

[00:21:02]Those things are legitimate grieviances.

[00:21:05]The problem is that they have nothing to do with immigration. Did you know that?

[00:21:09]I'm sure you didn't because everybody's telling you it's the foreigner's fault.

[00:21:14]You don't have a job. Not because a foreigner took it. You don't have a job because the government failed to create an economy for you to have that job. The reason why you can't feed your family is because the government stole money that was supposed to be invested in job creation and the right tenders.

[00:21:32]You can't access quality education because be was messed up because the government doesn't fund the schools properly. In 2026, if you went to any public school, they are still using books from 2008 and the schools are crowded like this. You can't access healthcare, not because of the foreigners, but because the government systems are broken and they are stealing like Tbisa Hospital. Zakaria Chisel, an official at the Timbisa Hospital and Babit, a member of the Hawks, appeared briefly in the Ptoria Magistrate's Court. It is alleged that Chisle with the help of Tier attempted to bribe an investigator to avoid prosecution in the fraud and corruption investigations at the Timbisa Hospital. The state was not ready to proceed with their bail application, leaving the defense frustrated.

[00:22:23]>> Must understand that the two officials were arrested yesterday and the state still needs to do their bail investigations whe so that we can determine whether we will oppose or not oppose their release on bail. The duo allegedly handed the investigator 100,000 rand as gratification, not knowing that he was part of an operation to nab them. The hawks maintain that this shows that they are serious about arresting those behind the looting at Tbisa Hospital.

[00:22:55]>> Because we arrested one of our own, that is that is to show that we would not let anything deter this investigation into Timbis. If it's our own, we'll also root him out. And if there's any other person who is trying to deter this investigation, we will also be dealing with him. So we are not dragging any fees. It's just that this is a very complex investigation.

[00:23:15]>> In September, the special investigating unit released an interim report detailing how billions of rents were squandered by tender syndicates and health officials at Tbisa Hospital. The hawks are confident that those responsible will be brought to justice.

[00:23:41]But that's harder to be angry about, right? Because that requires actually confronting systemic failure, which everybody is afraid of doing. That requires confronting corruption at the highest levels.

[00:23:53]>> Babita Joaran uncovered and reported possible tender fraud at the Tbisa Hospital weeks before she was assassinated. At the time the estimated amount of suspicious payments was more than 850 million rand. The SIU investigation prompted by Joaran has now revealed that billions of rands have been squandered.

[00:24:16]>> That means in that interim even after her passing. So there was still corruption being involved and that's a sad reality and you know as society in South Africa it's something we should not accept.

[00:24:32]>> The then senior manager at the crowding health department identified various companies including that of controversial businessman Vimuzi Matala.

[00:24:42]The SIU has since confirmed Dioran's suspicions, further revealing that three tender syndicates are behind the looting.

[00:24:51]>> We want a precedent to be set here. We want heads to roll cuz if a precedent is not set, people will just continue doing what they're going to do. We want imprisonments. We want, you know, arrests.

[00:25:04]Uh we don't just want to be looking at reports, investigations.

[00:25:09]Uh though that time is long gone now.

[00:25:11]Daran's family believes that the preliminary report by the SIU is just the tip of deeprooted corruption.

[00:25:19]>> Babita is not sleeping. She is wide awake and she's coming for them. She is coming.

[00:25:26]She will ensure that she gets her true justice if everyone else or anyone else fails her.

[00:25:34]>> The mother of one died in a hail of bullets outside her Johannesburg home.

[00:25:39]Six men were convicted for her murder in 2023. Her family still wants to know who ordered the hit. Na Shaka SBC News.

[00:25:50]>> It's much easier to be angry at the Somalia who owns the Spaza shop down the road because he looks different from me and I feel less scared when I blame him than the government. It's easier to march against foreign nationals. It's much easier to feel like you're doing something when you're beating the living daylights out of the Zimbabwean who owns the Spaza shop down the street than actually holding the government accountable.

[00:26:14]>> National Assembly Speaker Togo Diza has announced the names of the political party members who will serve on the Palapala impeachment committee. While 15 parties submitted their lists on time, the ANC failed to meet Friday's deadline. It only handed over its list over the weekend.

[00:26:33]Concerns were raised that the ANC's delay could lead to procedural disruptions.

[00:26:38]>> Is indeed very significant. Um the ANC is the biggest party on this committee.

[00:26:43]They have nine out of the 31 members. Uh it affects obviously the president, President Ramapora who will appear before this committee. Um and it is at the same time the leading party in the uh government of national unity. So the ANC whether you like it or not is still very much a dominant force within South African politics and also for this procedure that must be followed in parliament.

[00:27:10]>> Beating the living daylights out of that Moroccan guy who owns the hair salon.

[00:27:14]That's not going to get me a job. It's not going to fix the economy and it's not going to address the real issues.

[00:27:18]You need to get that to your skulls. And meanwhile the big five cartel is still pulling the strings around here. While you're doing that, corruption continues at the highest levels. Because you do understand, while you're attacking foreigners in general, not even distinguishing between legal and illegal ones anymore, you do understand the people who were almost caught for corruption are still operating. While you're doing that, the people in power continue to steal while directing your anger towards each other. This is the SCOP. It is a scop. It is a distraction.

[00:27:52]And what's worse is that it's working.

When you see a sudden surge in coverage of immigrant issues, ask yourself, what else is happening in the news that the powerful people don't want me to focus on? Why are xenophobic attacks increasing when we are this close to finishing the Madanga Commission? Read the Madanga Commission testimonies. I say watch. Understand what the big five cartel is and what they do. Follow the arrests. Follow the court cases. Understand who is connected to organized crime in your government.

[00:28:35]And then when you're done doing that, ask yourself this. Who benefits from my anger being directed at immigrants rather than at the people stealing from the government? Who are the people who deserve all this anger directed towards them? That answer will tell you everything you need to know about what's really happening in South Africa.
