Alicia Andrews sentenced to 15 years for her role in the death of Charles Jones aka #juliofoolio

[00:00:00]Alicia Andrews is the first defendant to be sentenced in the Julio Fulio case.

[00:00:04]Her trial was completed in October of 2025. And although she was charged with first-degree murder like the rest of the defendants, she was found guilty of the lesser included charge of manslaughter.

[00:00:15]And that carries a sentence of up to 15 years in prison. Alicia's sentencing was delayed because she successfully had Judge Cisco removed from her case and a new judge had to be assigned. So today, the sentencing was done by Judge Kimberly Fernandez. The defense did file motions to have the new judge reconsider pre-trial and trial rulings, but Judge Fernandez said, "No thanks. I declined."

[00:00:37]And she denied those motions. And on the record, she said that she would not have ruled any differently. Prior to the sentencing, we did hear a victim impact statement from Julio Fulio's mom. And we also heard from both the prosecution and the defense. The prosecution asked that Alicia be sentenced to the maximum, which is 15 years due to the severity of the crime. And the defense called her role in this murder relatively minor and asked that she be sentenced to time served plus 5 years probation, which only would have come out to less than 2 years behind bars. Judge Fernandez did ultimately sentence Alicia to 15 years in prison. I don't know how much time she'll actually do, but whatever it is, it's not enough. I personally feel like she should have been convicted of first-degree murder just like the rest of them. She should be spending the rest of her life behind bars.
