Wives of Nendi
Added:Some months later, Maimun Ngwindi came to the village to judge a cake making competition for the club members.
Everyone waited to see who had baked the best. And Maimun Ngwindi held up the winning cake.
It had been baked by none other than Nnende's first wife. She was very pleased and was congratulated by Maimun Ngwindi and the committee members.
She was applauded heartily by all the people of the village. Not least by Nnende himself.
Everyone was pleased.
Maimun Ngwindi cut the cake and sent it round for the men to taste.
They all took a bit and tasted it.
"This is good." they said.
"We must get our wives to make cakes like this."
And Maimun Ngwindi and Maimun Bowie looked at this once backward village of Nnende and were well satisfied.
