This video examines the diplomatic controversy surrounding Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's decision to award the White Eagle Order to the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA), a unit responsible for the Volyn Genocide that killed over 120,000 Polish civilians in the 1940s. Polish President Karol Nawrocki initiated a motion to revoke the decoration, while Prime Minister Donald Tusk opposed the revocation, creating a constitutional crisis. The controversy highlights how historical memory and national reconciliation processes can significantly impact international relations, with Poland's position rooted in the need to honor victims of genocide and prevent the glorification of criminal organizations. The video also discusses how this diplomatic tension may affect Ukraine's EU accession process, as EU membership requires unanimous consent from all member states.

Warsaw-Kyiv Tensions Erupt After Zelenskiy Honors Unit That Massacred Polish Civilians During WWIIAdded:
Over the coming week, public debate in Poland and political backroom discussions will be dominated by anticipation of the White Eagle Order chapters decision regarding Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Politicians across the political spectrum are condemning the scandal in which the Ukrainian head of state decided to award one of the country's military units the title of Heroes of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army.
A huge mistake, scandalous behavior on Zelensky's part because he is senselessly jeopardizing relations with Poland and jeopardizing relations with the entire European Union.
We cannot pretend that these are not crimes. Polonization crime.
Of course Zelensky's medal should be revoked. Zelensky knows exactly what he's saying. He's spitting in the faces of Poles, attacking our nation, attacking our history by glorifying Banderites, criminals, murderers, rapists, and genocidal perpetrators. He has forfeited this decoration. Polish President Karol Nawrocki has submitted a motion to revoke the highest Polish decoration from the President of Ukraine.
Bandits and murderers who slaughtered women and children, who slaughtered Poles within the European family. Such bandits cannot be glorified, nor can the Ukrainian Insurgent Army be glorified, and I have accepted this with great sadness. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk is trying, in an incomprehensible and senseless way, to diffuse the situation. In doing so, he is spitting in the face of the victims of criminal Ukrainian organizations, the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists, and the Ukrainian Insurgent Army.
If President Zelenskyy and President Nawrocki become the leaders of historical disputes and emotions, then the Kremlin will have a real reason to rejoice.
The condescending, pretentious lumping of Zelenskyy together with Karol Nawrocki, moreover, immediately shifting the narrative to the Russian side. On June 8th, the chapter of the Order of the White Eagle is to issue an opinion on whether to revoke Volodymyr Zelenskyy's decoration, but that is not all.
After consulting the opinion, the president may issue a decision to revoke the decoration. However, according to constitutional law doctrine, which is the prevailing view, this decision is subject to countersignature, and then the Polish Prime Minister, if he receives such a decision for countersignature, assumes full political responsibility. And here a question mark arises. What will the Prime Minister do?
His statements suggest that he will not support revoking the decoration, especially since his political allies are vocally opposing President Karol Nawrocki's firm decision.
In this matter, we should expect, first, a change of decision, and second, an apology. But I believe that President Nawrocki's reaction is hysterical.
He who gives and takes away will languish in hell. That's a Polish saying, and I think the president has forgotten it, too. Once we give something, we shouldn't take it back.
He who gives and takes away will languish in hell. That's the saying that comes to mind. Zelenskyy's decision is reprehensible, but making such a harsh, top-tier anti-Ukrainian gesture right now, at a time when Russian drones are flying into NATO territory, is not the right direction. Some government politicians, failing to grasp the gravity of the situation, are even talking about exploiting this scandal for political gain.
Zelensky's colossal mistake is being exploited right now. This is playing on people's emotions at this very moment.
It is difficult not to get carried away by emotions and remain silent on this matter when we are talking about over 120,000 people brutally murdered by Ukrainians in the 1940s. Polish people were murdered using axes, pitchforks, scythes, saws, hammers, and sickles.
They were impaled on stakes, skinned alive, and children were torn from their mothers' wombs. A genocide that remains unaccounted for to this day, and the victims have not been buried with respect and dignity.
In a situation where a decision is being made regarding this very formation that murdered Poles, and this formation is being particularly supported by the Ukrainian president, this is unacceptable. This is anti-Polish. This is pro-Russian. In response to the Ukrainian president's decision to the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, there have been further reactions in Poland.
According to the Lublin 112 website, the Ukrainian flag, which had been waving in front of Lublin City Hall as a gesture of solidarity following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, has been removed.
Our action is directly related to President Zelensky's decision. Following the example of other Polish cities, we have decided to remove the Ukrainian flag from the Lublin City Hall building.
We share the critical stance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland and the Polish Embassy in Kyiv regarding President Volodymyr Zelensky's decision. There are also further political decisions.
Together with local government officials, we are launching a petition for a citizens' legislative initiative to ban the promotion of Banderaism. Next week, the committee will be registered and the signature collection will begin.
Thank you very much for this support.
The bill I drafted together with the then president of the Institute of National Remembrance, Karol Nawrocki, which criminalizes the promotion of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists, the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, and Banderism, as well as the so-called Volyn Massacre, and introducing amendments to the Criminal Code has been stalled for over 1 and 1/2 years in the Committee on Justice and Human Rights. Only a major citizens' initiative can get it moving.
Regarding Volodymyr Zelenskyy's scandalous decision, one wonders why it was made in the first place. And here, the paths lead to Berlin.
Zelenskyy cannot tell Ukrainians that it is Berlin that is vetoing Ukraine's rapid entry into NATO, so a scapegoat [music] is needed. Therefore, the Poles must be provoked, as they will be the most vocal in opposing Ukraine and by extension, its entry into the EU. And as European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced, the coming weeks are expected to bring a breakthrough in Ukraine's accession process to the European Union.
Unfortunately, President Zelenskyy has proven that Ukraine, in terms of its mentality and glorification of bandits and murderers from the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, is not ready to be part of the European family. Approval for any country to join the European Union requires the unanimous consent of all member states. With his decision, the president of Ukraine has harmed his own people and the future of his country, because Polish President Karol Nawrocki will not allow the victims of a brutal genocide to be slandered.
>> Péter Magyar announced that he would seek to amend the Hungarian Constitution if incumbent President Tamás Sulyok does not resign and all of the procedures are exhausted. Earlier, the Hungarian Prime Minister had set a deadline for the president to step down, which expired at midnight on Sunday.
President Tamás Sulyok delivered an address in which he announced he would not resign and would continue to perform his constitutional duties.
The Prime Minister's recent statements contain one-sided demands and orders directed at the president in a manner atypical for state authorities, including a call to step down from office. All of this creates a situation deeply at odds [music] with the current constitutional order, which negatively impacts the constitutional functioning and authority of the office of the president. Under the Hungarian Constitution, the president may be removed from office if he fails to comply with the Constitution, intentionally violates the rights associated with the office, or commits a common crime.
Currently, there is no legal or constitutional basis that would justify my resignation. I remain faithful to the oath I took, and as long as it is not impossible for me to perform my duties, I intend to fulfill the mandate entrusted to me. My guy called on the president to resign as early as election night of the 12th of April, and subsequently announced on multiple occasions that if the president did not resign voluntarily, he would be removed from office. He gave the head of state and other officials appointed by the previous government until 31st of May to submit their resignations.
I told the president that if he maintains his position and does not resign, I will inform the members of the TISZA Parliament today about our legislative proposals, and we will immediately begin the necessary procedures. The president is elected by the National Assembly for a five-year term. At least two-thirds of the deputies are required to remove him from office. The TISZA MAGYAR Party holds such a majority in the current parliamentary term. The final decision, however, rests with the 15-member Constitutional Court, whose judges were appointed by the previous parliamentary majority led by Viktor Orbán.
I can say that this process will take about a month. We will try to adopt the necessary legislation as soon as possible, and yes, there will be talk of removing all the puppets who, instead of contributing to the strengthening of Hungarian democracy and the rule of law, participated in its dismantling for many millions of foreigners. Former Prime Minister Viktor Orbán's Fidesz party accuses Magyar of issuing an illegal ultimatum and claims that Sulyok is fulfilling his mandate, which runs until 2029 and cannot be removed from office.
Paris is ablaze, residents are in fear, and migrants are on the offensive.
Smashed storefronts and looted [music] shops.
Wrecked and torched cars.
The streets of the French capital turned into battlefields. [music] Migrant gangs attacked police officers and paramedics.
No one could feel safe.
The toll of these events is catastrophic. [music] Police officers injured, 700 people arrested, several hundred injured, one fatality, another in a critical condition.
Paris is still tallying the losses from the weekend riots. Once again, Paris [music] Saint Germain's victory in the Champions League final served as a pretext. The local team successfully defended its title.
This time last year, immigrants also turned the streets of Paris into a living hell. This year, as a French police official admit, it was even worse. Officers were unable to cope with the migrants' aggression.
These are acts of a terrorist nature aiming to terrorize French society into passivity. That's the point of this destruction of property and acts of physical aggression, particularly those directed at police officers and security services.
The aggression, mainly from Muslim migrants, experienced daily by the French, but also by other residents of Western Europe, did not come out of nowhere. It is a result of a disastrous open-door policy towards arrivals from North Africa and the Middle East.
The riots have broken out in Paris following a victory let's add seems strange. There should be jubilation not destruction. But indeed considering the presence of migrants in Paris, this rioting is a natural expression of how these immigrants understand this entire sphere of social life. These problems of course occur not only in Paris but in many other Western countries. This is the result of this particular migration policy.
This fate was brought upon their compatriots not only by aggressive migrants but also by the left-wing political establishment who without restraint or reflection let these dangerous people into Europe.
The police are of course trying to rein this in trying to bring it under control somehow. But to little avail because these riots last for many many hours.
There are enormous losses and enormous consequences.
The consequences are such that today the French can no longer sleep peacefully.
Women cannot go out onto the streets in the evenings and the authorities are often helpless. Many suburbs of major cities but also small towns have been taken over by migrant gangs.
These are places where state authorities have no right to enter. These [music] are places where the local traditions and customs are Islamic and African where France no longer exists. In such places young people are growing up who are hostile towards France, [music] French history and towards the French people and who use every situation, every [music] event to take to the streets and destroy, loot, set fire and beat people.
The French have already grown accustomed to the fact that in their own countries, in their own cities and on their own streets they no longer feel at home.
