This video documents a peaceful political protest at Jamsil Olympic Park in Seoul, South Korea, following the June 3rd national election where citizens protested election irregularities including ballot shortages and vote counting issues. The demonstration featured approximately 20,000 participants, predominantly young people, who organized themselves without formal leadership, maintained cleanliness, and expressed their concerns about election integrity and government representation. The protest exemplifies how democratic societies enable citizens to peacefully voice political grievances and demand accountability through organized civic engagement.

I Joined a South Korean Political Protest | Jamsil Olympic ParkHinzugefügt:
So, we're in Soul, South Korea, and we are at a political demonstration. So, quick background before we go in there and show you what's show you what's going on. Uh, there was a national election in South Korea on June 3rd.
Today's I think June 5th or 6th. And during the election, there were a lot of irregularities, especially things like certain precincts running out of ballots, which is crazy.
Uh so people cannot vote. Uh weird things with the vote counting just like every other country. Um election integrity is on the line and the people on the conservative side are pissed off.
Um, just to give a reference, something like 20 something like 70% of men that are 20s and 30s voted on the right and they feel as though the election was stolen. They feel like there is election fraud. They are chanting for a new election to cancel the results of the existing one. And it is a ton of people.
I mean, to say that there's a lot of people, it's it's an understatement really. So, we're going to go in there.
It's packed. I don't know how much audio we're going be able to get of me talking just because of how many people there are, but you can see the people starting to gather.
And uh we're going to go inside. Check it out. All right, we're going through.
It's all kinds of people like families, grown-ups, young people. A lot of young people. I think that's the most impressive part about what it is. The average age has to be under 130 years old.
>> I mean, look at the amount of people.
This is This is really beautiful. Really, if you think about it, like this is this is as cool as it gets.
HEAT. HEAT.
ALLAH.
>> More people on the other side.
on top. On day on >> I mean, they're throwing out their own trash, clean it up. So, it's probably one of the cleanest rallies, political rallies I've been to. They also have free drinks for people.
Free drinks for people while they're here. I think just local people come out and brought it. So, people have food to eat, drinks. This is all free.
Drawings.
people if they want to carry a sign.
I'm going to say people have been out here for since maybe a night or two nights ago and they'll probably be here till tomorrow, the day after. Who knows how long they'll be out here or when they'll disperse. It's about 20,000 people that are here and new group comes in and people leave, people come back.
About 20,000 people here all time. Who knows how many people have been in and out of this place in the last day and a half or 2 days, but It's packed. I mean, there are a ton of people out here. Everyone's just saying the same thing the entire time.
>> Why are you here protesting holding American and Korean flag? Well, because America is the strongest ally in our countries and you know see Americans really really protecting us every single year. They just you know they just protecting us FOR FREE. YOU KNOW THEY always put American forces over here. So that means there's no longer communism or North Korea Chinese cannot invade us.
That's how our country getting safer.
But our you know our country president he's not represent li he's trying to sell our country to the North Korea and China and we're trying to stop them that's the reason why I put the American flags and the Korean flags both to the side over here and actually as a former Marines love my country I saw my country for two years and I don't want my country's getting [ __ ] up you know >> that's the reason why I'm here that's reasonable.
>> Did you live in the States? You went to school?
>> Not like I was living in Texas for 2 months. Not like whole year. Just two months.
>> Really?
>> Yes, sir.
>> You You have a Texas accent.
>> Oh, Texas.
>> It sounds great.
>> Texas year, too.
>> And also, >> don't mess with Texas.
>> This is a test. You see, >> that's amazing.
>> And test.
>> I got this from Mark. And yeah, I was I was in Dallas, North Dallas. I was in Sherman Sherman Dallas for 2 months and it was amazing day. You know, like most of the people says Americans are racist and Americans are really bad. But no, no, no, that is not true. Every Americans, white, black, or Hispanic, doesn't matter. They really treat me well and they like they treat me as I'm Americans, you know. They're not treat me as a foreigner. They're treating like like their own like that was really surprising for me. And also they all like their own feelings.
>> Amazing.
>> I love America. Let's go.
All praise ON GOD.
I WOULD SAY THE MOST interesting thing about here is that there actually isn't that many police. There's not a huge police presence. It's almost like they know that although a lot of people gather and a lot of people protest that the chance of violence is very low because if this demonstration was in United States there would be cops in riot gear everywhere. You' see the patty wagons, you see the cops, you see them standing off. And here I can't count more than I don't know 10 15 cops I've seen out of thousands of people. Maybe even I don't even know that many. There are people that just literally volunteered in order to help keep the traffic moving forward. No one officially works here. It's just >> it's just all volunteers.
Hey, hey, HEY.
So this is really amazing because it's so peaceful. People are so selforganized.
There are essentially no locally here.
There is no major organizer loosely organized group of various groups that come together and they are listen to them.
All right, so we're out and um a little bit of reflection before we call out video.
It was really cool, you know, the amount of people that showed up, the amount of young people that cared about the political process. Um, how peaceful it was, how clean it was, how well organized it was. Um, there's no violence, no debacery or degeneracy, just people there to protest and let their voices be heard. Like, it's feels really beautiful. It was pretty awesome. Um, couple things. I think that if you're in Korea, um I don't have a political say in this because I don't vote in Korea. I vote in America. So politically neutral.
I guess the one thing that I would say is that there were a lot of people there um that thought, you know, oh, because Trump really championed the stop this deal that there's this belief amongst some people, not all, but some that like America and Trump is going to come help you. And that's just adamantly not true.
Um, this administration, you know, I've met a lot of people within it. This administration has almost zero care about Korea. So if that's what you think is going to save you, it's just not true. And any Americans there that are telling you that is true, they're lying to you cuz they don't know that. They don't have the power to know that. So that's my only caveat to the whole experience. But other than that, it's like beautiful. You know, I think people should continue to protest, organize, uh push back in the system. I get why people are mad. People are pissed off.
People are pissed off because they feel like, especially young people, feel like the system is against them, that they are having their rights stolen, that um the system is broken, and you're pissed off. And I totally understand that.
I'm rooting for you guys. I wish you guys the best.
