We'll try and get you the visuals in fact on your screen showing you the accused husband Samath Singh in the Twisha Sharma case now being taken for medical examinations by the CBI team. So we are looking at wheels of justice now moving rapidly ever since the CBI has taken over the investigation in this case. There was a 3D mapping that took place yesterday at Giribala's residence. She was arrested and today we're looking at some more action as the other accused the son in fact of Giribala Samath Singh is now being taken for a medical examination by the CBI team. In fact CBI is also requesting for a space to set up their camp in Bhopal itself so that the evidence that they gather from both the accused can be secured properly. And all the heels of those development we're now looking at fresh developments coming to light as the accused husband Samath Singh is now being taken for a medical examination by the CBI team. [00:01:19]The husband is now being a produced for a medical examination. This is right before CBI is going to produce him before the court to ask for the extension of his custody.

[00:01:42]It is a routine procedure that happens in fact.

[00:01:46]And right now this is before that he will be produced in the court as the Central Investigating Agency will be asking a for the extension of his custody. Now, remember he's been continuously questioned and grilled on the circumstances which led to Twisha's death. What exactly happened? And this comes after the court flagged several irregularities, the kind of injury marks, seven injury marks which are found on Twisha's body. There was no explanation given by either of the accused for that. So, those are the questions that are being asked to both the accused to establish what exactly unfolded on the night of May 12th. What was the entire sequence of the event? In fact, why was Twisha not taken to a nearby hospital? Why was the police station, which is just about a kilometer, not even a kilometer, less than a kilometer away from the house?

[00:02:39]Why was a police and not informed? Now, those are the questions being asked to in fact Samarth Singh during investigation. My colleague Shambhavi, who's also tracking the story on the ground, now joins me with more details.

[00:02:50]Shambhavi, take us through what's happening right now. Samarth being taken for a medical examination right now, and we understand this will be followed up by him being produced in the court.

[00:03:02]>> Yes, there are two developments which are happening today. Both are related to the court here. Both the mother-son duo, Samarth Singh and Giridhar Singh, will be produced in court.

[00:03:11]Uh and before that, of course, they'll be taken for a medical test. Now, we know that Giridhar Singh was taken into custody just yesterday, one day before yesterday. Uh the bail, the anticipatory bail of Giridhar Singh was cancelled.

[00:03:23]And uh then from there, they will be taken for a medical test and will be produced in the court for the first time.

[00:03:29]Apart from that, Samarth Singh, Samarth Singh is being produced in the court for the second time because uh earlier in the hearing when he was presented before the trial court, uh before the trial court, that is when they got a remand, a 7-day police remand.

[00:03:47]And now that uh the remand is over, they will ask for an extension for custodial interrogation and that is exactly what's going to happen with Giri Bala Singh as well. Although she's being produced for the first time, so they'll be asking for the custody for the first time, but for Samarth Singh, they'll be asking to extend the demand. Because earlier when he was presented in court, the police asked for the demand. The Madhya Pradesh police was handling and investigating the case. But now the CBI has taken over the case completely. It even filed a petition and application in the Madhya Pradesh High Court asking to be a party in the cancellation of anticipatory bail as well as asking for complete takeovers. The CBI now has completely taken over the case and they're also dealing with the case daily. So every possible aspects of the case will be covered by CBI now and both of them will be produced in the court shortly.

[00:04:36]>> Right. Now, Sharvi, Samarth has already been in custody for the past a 1 week and several questions are being posed to him regarding what exactly unfolded on the night of May 12th. What details are we picking up from that investigation which has been carried out so far?

[00:04:54]>> Well, yes, there has been interrogation going on with Samarth for uh 7 days now and in these there are several aspects which has come up. Samarth has made claims that uh Disha's behavior changed after pregnancy and that she wanted to terminate her pregnancy. That is why she went through MTP years old so uh revealed about the arguments that they had on uh 12th of May regarding going to Ajmer and whether her worship plan was going to Bangalore. Also, as uh his mother has continued to do even Samarth continues to do that interrogation, she is he continues pointing fingers at Disha Sharma's character. He's talking about her behavior which was not very good. So all these things have come up. Although there has been some discrepancies in what they're saying in the interrogation and what they've filed in their anticipatory bail. The fact that who went up first, was it Giribala Singh, was it Samar Singh? Because there are different versions of it that they only submitted and they have said till now in the case some places Samar said that I went there first, in some places Giribala Singh said that I went there first. In some cases Samar Singh said that I was I slept by 9:00 that day. So there is still a lot of different stories which are coming up, different versions of the case is coming up. So um given that they will ask for an extension of the custody, new information is bound to come up.

[00:06:22]>> Right, right. Chaman, also the fact that today Giribala Singh will also be produced before the court. The CBI is all likely to ask for a custody. And the idea it seems behind that is to have both of the accused give out their versions and then to have cross-examination.

[00:06:39]>> Definitely, that is why they'll be interrogated together as well and they'll be interrogated separately as well, too.

[00:06:45]Understand what is the true version because again, as I said, there has been set up pretty different versions which has been given by both Samar Singh and Giribala Singh and even they themselves have given two different versions of stories about their arrival as well. So there are four five different things which are going on, the possibility of what happened and what transpired on night of 12th of May when the Shashi Bala passed away. Uh so we will know, of course, following the interrogation of Giribala Singh which has just taken in custody yesterday. So uh more progress is set to come once they have complete custody of her for a certain days and then the interrogation will be carried out.
