[00:00:00]I'm not sure I'm the only one who realizes this, but an impass in mediation doesn't always mean failure.

[00:00:06]And by impass, I mean when the mediation is not successful. Sometimes an impass is exactly what you need to show the court that you were reasonable and the other side wasn't. Sometimes an impass is necessary to stop negotiations with an unreasonable party and start preparing for court. While mediation allows you the opportunity to decide your outcome, you shouldn't fear a no in mediation. Sometimes court is just necessary, especially when the other side is being unreasonable.
