This analysis masterfully decodes the throne's iconography, transforming a silent artifact into a sophisticated political manifesto. It successfully bridges the gap between museum curiosity and genuine historical literacy.

Symbols You Missed on Tutankhamun’s Golden Throne | Part 1Added:
Everyone talks about the famous scene on Tuten Carmon's golden throne, but the side of the throne is full of symbols most people miss. First, look at the Shen ring. The word Shen means encircling in ancient Egyptian and the symbol represents eternal protection. In fact, what we call a cartou is basically an elongated shen ring encircling the name of a king as if protecting it forever. In this cartoon carton, his birth name before he became Tuten Carmun. I explained why that matters in another video. Then we see Nessut Bitty, the royal title meaning king of upper and lower Egypt, represented by the sedge and the bee.
Above them, notice the winged cobra. The cobra is not just decoration. It is a royal protector wearing the crowns of upper and lower Egypt.
And at the bottom, although it is broken today, there used to be the Sematawi, the union of the two lands. The Pyrus for lower Egypt and lotus for upper Egypt are tied around the central sema sign, often interpreted as a windpipe and lungs. Together, they symbolize the king's role in uniting Egypt and maintaining balance. And on the other side of the throne, we find the same symbols again, but this time with his throne name, Neb Keeru Rah, meaning Lord of the manifestations of Rah.
Even the chair legs are not random. They take the form of lion legs, a symbol of royal strength. But that deserves its own video. So the side of the throne is not just decoration. It is a complete message. Eternity, protection, kingship and a united Egypt.
Next video the front will be explained.
