Strange Statues in Colombia Unveiled to the World

[00:00:00]In the Colombian Massif, one of the most enigmatic corners of South America is found. Archaeologists have discovered some 600 volcanic rock statues buried in a series of mounds near the city of San Agustín in southern Colombia, some of which reach up to 4 m in height.

[00:00:18]It is the largest necropolis in South America due to the large number of sculptures found. However, because of the country's armed conflicts, they are not well known. Now that peace has returned to these lands, they are beginning to be exhibited worldwide.
