In desert drip irrigation systems, water may not reach the end of the line due to excessive pressure loss caused by high emitter density and insufficient pressure regulation; this can be resolved by replacing the standard 25 PSI regulator with a larger 40 PSI filter regulator to maintain adequate water flow throughout the entire system.

Why Your Desert Drip System Stops Watering at the END of the Line π΅π§ (Easy Fix?)Added:
Something that I run into from time to time is when a drip system will not work. Like it won't push enough water to get to the very end. I want to show you something you can do to fix this situation. Um and I'm going to actually show you why often this will happen. So, check this out.
>> at a property here in the desert and the reason uh this is happening here is the valve is on this side of the yard and it had a 25 PSI regulator. The front yard is all on one drip zone. So, check this out. Look how far it goes. All the way up the hill.
And I want to show you what's being used right here.
These adjustable emitters are primarily what's being used to water. Now, surprisingly, these actually use quite a bit of water. So, you have to factor that in. And there's a lot. I'd say there's at least 50 of these. So, that's a lot of water. So, we're going to talk about the solution. Here's the solution to something like this. We went ahead there the valve that controlled the front was leaking. So, we went ahead and replaced that, but we put a 40 PSI filter regulator on it.
Check this out. Right there.
So, Rain Bird makes the best >> [snorts] >> filter regulator for a drip system. You have to have this in place to keep the water clean, but also to keep the pressure uh at bay. So, it's not that full pressure coming in. So, you do need that, but sometimes you need to go with a little larger one. This will push quite a bit more water through, but still keep it under control. So, if you have a problem with your drip system and you're in the desert, this is very common. Um you might need to put on a larger filter regulator. This happens especially when those adjustable uh spectrum emitters are used. So, keep that in mind. Thanks for watching.
And uh hope this helped you.
