[00:00:07]Today's video guys is going to be body cam footage. This body cam footage is from Monday's video in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

[00:02:16]>> Um, it's about these people over here filming. Uh, they're like wanting all of our license plates that are coming through.

[00:02:25]>> They're wanting everyone's license plates.

[00:02:27]>> Like, yeah. They're like filming everyone's license plates. And then we asked them to like not do that cuz it's our customers. And they were like, um, we can't. And they were like, well, like, why are you doing it? And they were like, we can't tell you or we're fired. Like I guess they're like hired by somebody to come do this. Uh what it sounds like is they are we have a lot of these first amendment auditors that are like trying to get a rise out of police.

[00:02:53]So it sounds like it's some of these people that are trying to get a rise out of police. And so legally they can record anything they want as long as they're not recording inside of a private area as as long as public goes they can record all they want. Oh >> okay.

[00:03:08]>> Um there's nothing we can do about that.

[00:03:11]as long as they're not on your property.

[00:03:13]When I throw on the sidewalk right now, they're recording me to see how my reaction is.

[00:03:18]>> So, if they get on y'all's property >> and you want them gone or you want them banned, >> I can ban them.

[00:03:24]>> Oh, okay.

[00:03:25]>> But because they're actually on the sidewalk, >> you can't do anything.

[00:03:29]>> Even if they were trying to keep trying to get license plates and stuff.

[00:03:32]>> Yeah. It doesn't matter.

[00:03:33]>> Oh, okay.

[00:03:34]>> It don't matter. Unfortunately, that's one of the little loopholes in in the law that it can't even like force them to identify themselves.

[00:03:44]>> Unless um they step foot on your property or unless you want them banned.

[00:03:49]Okay.

[00:03:49]>> Yeah. So, I mean it's an annoyance, but there's really nothing I can do about that as far as as far as that goes cuz like right now I'm recording, you know, so like there's nothing we can do as far as that goes. Now, if they start harassing your customers or if they start harassing you, um, then we can.

[00:04:09]But just with them just standing there recording, >> can't do anything.

[00:04:15]>> Okay.

[00:04:16]>> What if it causes business to slow down because people don't want to be recorded, still can't do anything?

[00:04:21]>> Yep. Not because they're not cuz they're not on your property. They're on the sidewalk right now. Now, if they start getting on y'all's grass, take pictures of it and let me know and uh call us back and we'll we'll take care of it, man.

[00:04:34]>> Uh do y'all can I get a contact number for somebody?

[00:04:38]>> Uh here all day. Yeah, give her.

[00:04:51]>> Is he aware? Is he?

[00:04:53]>> Yes. He's the one that called.

[00:05:07]But yeah, that sounds like that's what they're trying to do cuz like right now they're recording me. So they're just trying to get a rise out of y'all and trying to get a rise out of us.

[00:05:32]So, they're just trying to get a ride out of y'all and trying to get a ride out of us. So, they told them that uh >> All right. Nothing we can do with them over there. I'm sorry.

[00:05:41]>> Yeah, they told them that. They told them who they work for, who they were, that they'd get fired from their jobs.

[00:05:47]>> That's what the reporter said.

[00:05:48]>> And that could be true. They they may be employed by somebody and this is what they're paid to do. So >> as long as they're not actually on the property, >> and that's this is what they typically do is they typically just >> happen a lot. I guess >> it happens all over.

[00:06:04]>> Yeah. They just they they're more targets than usually the public.

[00:06:09]>> But >> they just know like coming on like someone's property.

[00:06:12]>> Yeah. That's why they're >> they don't they're not here to to bother you though. They're just here to record.

[00:06:18]And it normally irritates people because they don't like being recorded, but most people don't know that, you know, people can record in the public place. There's no expectation of privacy when you're in public.
