Digital Signal Processing DSP PlaylistAdded:
Hello everyone, welcome you all to this new video. So in this video I'm going to be introducing to you with this playlist of digital signal processing. So this is the second subject under electronics and communication. The subject code is BEC502 and this is especially for the latest scheme students where you you are struggling to find the video related to all modules explanations, models, paper solutions, passing packages everything.
this playlist is made with that motive for you guys. Uh which would be helping you if uh to score very good marks in this subject. Okay. So in this video I'm just going to introduce you with this playlist of digital signal processing.
All the five modules all the topics we have covered all of them I'm going to be discussing and this playlist is made with the motive of helping all the video students to score more with smart preparation. It is focused on important questions, model papers and concept clarity. Okay. So what and all are there in this playlist one by one let us see now all of them.
So what you'll get in this playlist?
Firstly, you'll be getting all five modules explained. Okay, there are totally five modules in that each concepts of each module along with the important problems, uh important questions, everything we are going to be discussing in this playlist. All the five modules in detail explanation is available. Okay, don't skip any of the videos. If you skip any of the videos, it would be very uh it won't be beneficial for you guys while you write the exam. Okay, so all the videos are very important ones. You need to be watching all of them. Then after that important questions discussed passing package. I've created multiple passing packages for all the previous batch students and also for the latest batch.
Okay, you could be accessing all of them. And in those passing package videos, I've specially told you what kind of questions would be arriving in the final exam which would be helping you to analyze the questions in a better way and attempt it in a meaningful manner. Okay. One is that next is model paper solution. So for the latest batch, VU has uh uh released the model papers.
For that we are providing the model paper solutions which would really helping you guys to score good. Okay.
Then after that module wise notes in each video's description we have kept a Google drive link in that all the five modules notes along with the uh handwritten notes everything would be available which would be helping you for better preparation. Okay. And next one is timestamps for each video. Timestamps would be helping you in order if you want to be particularly focusing on one concept in one video, you could be going to that time stamp and you could be easily accessing it. Okay. So that's why time stamp is available for each video.
So these are the things which are available in this playlist.
Now one by one we are going to be discussing what and all we have covered in this playlist. Okay. Starting from module one. Module one in the first video we had discussed with the introduction of this subject that is DSP digital signal processing. Then after that we have seen with the classification of signals. Okay. There are basically two types of signal. One is continuous type signals and discrete type signals. Okay. In that what do you mean by continuous signals? its characteristics along with the graph we have represented them based on that we have defined continuous time signals similarly for discrete time signals also it is it is for a fixed period of time we know that for that also we have discussed it and we have seen different kinds of discrete time signals and systems in the next video after that we have seen how to represent these signals graphically okay in that fourth video we have discussed it then after that some of the important problems which are which we have taken from the model papers we have discussed from the first module Okay.
So the problems related to classification of signals then the signal response based on the particular inputs given everything we have discussed and LTI system problems based on the impulse response and the given input sequence we have discussed everything. Okay. So go through it. It would be definitely helping you guys.
Now let's get to module two. In module two the first concept is related to Z transform. In that we have discussed in uh we have completely introduced the concept of Z transform with respect to this subject DSP. Okay. Then uh one by one in the upcoming videos we have discussed the properties of Z transform starting with the linearity property.
What the property states along with the proof and along with some of the problems we have analyzed the linearity properties. Then we have seen the convolution of two sequences that is related to time reversal property. Okay.
So that we have discussed along with the three problems. Go and watch it. It would be definitely helping you. Then after that we have started with the discrete FIA transform. This is this topic is very important under module 2.
Introduction to DFT. Uh the complete introduction part. What do you mean by DFT? The what do you mean by duration sequences, periodic sequence, DFT formation and conditions for sequence length everything along with the basic formula for DFT and some problems we have discussed in that. Then after that one important uh derivation related to frequency domain sampling and reconstruction of discrete time signals.
uh the complete derivation we have explained it in one video which is a confirmed 10 mark question it will be definitely arriving in the final exam so you need to be watching that as well then after that we have solved some problems along with the basic formula and two simple problems related to DFT is solved okay in the next video then after that we have discussed with the concepts of what do you mean by magnitude and phase under DFTs along with the problem we have discussed then again some of the important uh seven to eight mark question problems related to DFT in order to calculate a point and four point DFTs problems you have solved. Then again in the next video we have discussed the concept related to ID of that is inverse discrete fer transform how it varies from dft and how to be calculating the x ofn the input sequence based on the given uh output sequence x of k. Okay. So that also we have discussed. Then uh DFT as a matrix method as a linear transformation. In that there is one method called as matrix method. Uh how to be uh forming a matrix and how to be solving the problems. We have discussed for DFT as well as IDFT. Then we have solved some problems related to circular convolution as well. We have discussed the concept of circular convolution. Along with that we have solved some problems. Okay.
Then we have seen what the difference between unit step and unit sample response. Okay. And based on that we have solved some problems related to that which differs both of them. Then finally we have discussed some other properties of DFT that is periodicity linearity etc. Okay. So these were the concepts which comes under module two.
Next in module three we have discussed the concept of circular time shift property. Okay at the first which is very important uh the basic property how what it states and its formula along with some of the problems we have analyzed it. Then we have discussed with circular frequency shift property. Then some other properties along with the problems. Then we have discussed two important methods which is very important for exam point of view. One is linear filtering using overlap save method and linear filtering using overlap add method. Okay. So for both these methods we have solved we have made two two videos each. Okay. Which would be helping you guys to understanding the concept. In that video only I have explained what is the procedure for overlap save and add method. Uh along with that we have discussed the problems as well. Okay.
So this is for overlap add. Then in the eighth video we have s discussed the concept of ditft that is decimation in time fast for transform or it can be also called as radics to fft. Okay. What do you mean by the concept of that and uh the problems related to that? That is using butterfly diagram butterfly method. We have seen how to be solving these kind of problems. Okay. One problem is explained in this video because I've taken a lot of time to explain it the structure. That's why in this video I have solved only one problem. Same goes with the next video.
After that uh in the 10th video we have solved two problems related to eight point DFT under this butterfly structure. Then after that circular convolution using DI FFT is also discussed along with the problems. Okay.
Do watch all these videos. It will be definitely helping you guys to score good marks in this subject. Okay. All of them are detailed beautifully explained which would be helping you understand in an easy manner. Okay.
Then as I've told you I've discussed the concept of overlap save filtering algorithm and add filtering the steps in order to solve the how what are what is the approach needed to be solving the problems related to these two methods.
In these two videos I've discussed it the basic algorithm of overlap save and overlap add. Okay so this is very important go through it.
Next in module four uh the we have discussed with the concept starting with the filters part. Okay first we have given the introduction of all the windows which comes under filters. Okay, which is a combination of all the low pass and high pass filters. Okay, uh these are basic five windows. One is rectangular, bartlet, hanning, hamming and uh blackman meter. Okay. So these are the basic windows along with its formulas and what are the parameters everything we have discussed in that.
Then uh uh we have solved the problems related to symmetric and asymmetric filter using some of the windows. Okay. So in the upcoming videos you could be seeing that this problem is related to rectangular window. This is uh two problems are explained here. One is related to hanging and hamming window and uh some of the problems related to uh all the other windows we have discussed. These all the videos are problems. Okay. 2 3 4 5 everything go through it.
Then again this also problem. Okay. Uh these videos the problems all the videos you need to be referring very carefully because in all the videos I have explained it in very detailed manner.
You would be understanding it. Okay.
Yeah. Next is FIR structures. This is the second part of the module. Okay.
Where we are having two structures. One is called as direct form and another one is called as cascaded form. Okay. How the direct form and cascaded form structures looks like and how the problems are solved based on the given uh uh zed transform sequences that is h of zed. How you need to be obtaining the output sequence. Everything in detail we have explained it in these videos. Okay.
Starting from video seven. Then we have seen under direct form there is one more concept called as linear phase f filters. Okay. how that uh uh how those filters are represented everything we have discussed then again some problems related to that we have solved in the upcoming videos related to direct form and in cascaded form also how the structure looks like and uh we have solved problems also and FI structures then we have seen the basic concept related to F linear phase filters the how what you mean by that its derivation and its basic relationship and in the next video we have seen the two types of filters which is very important Important one is symmetric and anti-ymmetric filters or asymmetric filters. Okay, we have discussed them in detail. Please go and watch them. Okay, next coming to module five. Module five starts from the I filter design. I is basically infinite impulse response.
Okay, in the previous module we have mainly focused on FIR filters that is finite impulse response. Right? Now in this module the all the concepts are related to infinite impulse response filters that is I in that in the first video we have seen the I filter design concept or what do you mean by IR filters how it is designed and one important method under this filter that is impulse invariance method or in abbreviation you could be calling it as IM method. Okay we have solved many problems related to IM method and one more method that is called as bilinear transformation method or BLT method. how the filter is designed using this method and along with that how the problems are solved everything I've discussed in this video. Okay. Then after that under I structures we are having again two forms as we had for F structures. FI structures we had direct and cascaded form whereas in this I structure we are having two forms. One is called as direct form one and direct form two.
Okay. So you could be calling it as two levels under direct form. Level one and level two. Okay. So their abbreviations are DF1 and DF2. how the structures are represented and uh how the question needs to be formed what everything I have explained it in detail okay go through it again problems related to DF1 DF2 and uh in after that we have seen the basic concept of I filter design okay how the filter is designed and based on that what are the steps to be uh what are the steps to be obtained while solving the problems related to the I filters everything I've discussed in this video this is a theory video again one video related to lowass butter filter because uh butter filter problems is uh it's a definite question they would be asking it and the steps steps to solve these problems we have discussed it in this video okay so these were the concepts from all the five modules which we have discussed in detail in this complete playlist other than that I've told you that I've created a lot of passing package videos so these are the videos we have created this was the created these were the videos which I have created first about how to pass this subject where I've uh analyzed my notes my personal notes and I've told you some of the important important concepts in these two videos starting from part one and part two. Then after that for one batch I have made one important questions list. Okay. From all the five modules I've analyzed and made some of the important questions by referring the previous year question papers, model papers and all. And uh I have analyzed and I have made the questions based on my experience. Okay. And after that for backlog students as well okay for all the batches those who have failed and given second attempt for them also one important questions uh list I have made and that also will be helping you to score good marks in this subject. Okay.
So these are the videos which you need to be referring before going to exams.
These are the videos which you must watch. Okay.
Then after that I've told you that one separate model paper playlist is created for this subject. Okay. Where all the model paper solutions are available. All of them I have solved it. Along with that you will be getting the notes also for this model papers. Okay. For that you need to be accessing this playlist.
Okay. This playlist is also available and also the PDF notes for all the modules. For in each video of this playlist, you will be getting the link.
Okay, you could be go going and accessing that Google Drive link where uh I have kept my notes, my personal handwritten notes of all the five modules of all the concepts as you could be seeing and some other uh different college notes which is very easy and accessible and very easily you could be studying. Okay, all the easy materials I've kept it for you guys. Okay, go and access it. you would be definitely uh getting help from this.
