So, Yeah. a lot of people who don't decide to stay in America who who is on a work visa, same like where you know, people who you know do, come up here for a few months, go back home. And work, yeah. Work here, save the money, and go back home. Invest.

[00:06:00]You know, I live in the islands my whole life. And I didn't come to I know a lot of people come to America to seek better opportunities for a better life or maybe like nothing ain't going on in their country. I know they just want opportunities.

[00:06:16]Me moving to the United States, that was that was not my reason. It was for other reason. I enjoy living in the island.

[00:06:45]They don't spend American money. They have access to America. So, it's not like we would need a visa. No, we don't.

[00:06:51]>> for file somebody to file for you. And it's so crazy. Like even though we have that, when I was living there, I never wanted to come to the states. You only come visit.

[00:07:02]>> Yeah. We used to only come visit. I love that I had love living down there. I mean, you know, of course, down there don't have as much as the United States, but it's just the whole feel like it's the whole feel of family. People always looking out for you.

[00:07:18]Um you don't feel alone. You don't feel like, okay, if you living here and God, you can't pay the rent or something, your ass going to be homeless like in a quick second.

[00:07:29]It was just a good feeling. You come out, you could go buy fruits. I remember >> People know you. Yeah, people people talk to you. You cannot be on the side of the road and somebody somebody going to stop and they're going to try to help you. It's not like up here. You have to be cautious because you know you have crazy people. People think somebody going to do you something.

[00:07:50]Like the whole life is just totally different. I remember when I used to be walking upstairs to my house and I'm just smelling the beach cuz I had to live right by the beach.

[00:08:00]Like that is life to me, you know?

[00:08:02]>> Seafood. And you didn't know you didn't used to eat meat in the islands like that.

[00:08:06]>> No, I didn't. I I eat a lot of seafood and like um like now it had it's Saturday. I would do anything to go in a river or going to a beach and eat some good food. I can't do that here like like I miss that living, y'all. I really do. And I felt like mentally I was more happier.

[00:08:28]Um it just wasn't a lot of stress like how it is over here.

[00:08:37]And I I know that don't have nothing to do with all because you get older or or whatever. But even my grandmother Yeah, my grandmother when she come visit here, she don't want to stay here too long. She come in here to see the doctor because like I said in the islands it has its pros and its cons just like the United States. Like >> What are some of the the cons in the islands where you from?

[00:09:03]>> Okay, some of the cons. If you live in the US for so long and you go back home, the cons is con- venience.

[00:09:11]In the islands is no rushing like up here. You know up here, people rush for everything. They rush to eat, they rush to go to work. Back home, people move slow.

[00:09:24]>> when you say convenience, what do you mean?

[00:09:28]Like >> No, some of the convenience.

[00:09:31]>> in America is fast. You get stuff quickly. Um you go to a store, a restaurant, they bring your food quick.

[00:09:38]Um you could get shipping if you want to ship on Amazon. You get stuff quick.

[00:09:43]Just quickness compared to the island, it's slower. Certain stuff if you want, you cannot get because you have shipping issues, you understand?

[00:09:53]So convenience like that. Um I will say health care. Health care is probably I know a lot of people like to say health care is in the US, but it's it's better than where I'm from. The health care is better, you know? And I'm just being honest. Yeah, health care in America is better. Um maybe the cost of living is a little cheaper.

[00:10:14]But like at what price? It still end up being expensive because you end up being mentally depressed. Mhm.

[00:10:22]You work and just pay bills all the time. You go home, you age faster, you're not getting like fresh air.

[00:10:31]You know, so it have its pros and its cons. So yeah, if you could have a you know a good amount of money, you'll be okay. You You don't even have to be rich. You don't have to be rich to go back home to your country. So question. Um we know you're not from Jamaica. You've been there a lot though. Mhm. We have a house there. Um you think you will become you know you're a type of person you love shop online. Not really love, but you you like the convenience.

[00:11:02]>> Yes. All right. You think say you're going to have trouble blended in? Guys, no. And let me tell you no because for the past several months I have hardly been shopping online, babe. Like When you do something or something where you need >> I need. So I'm so happy I get to the habit of not just spending money on stuff that's that don't make no sense like how I used to. Every day I was on Amazon, Shein. I don't do that no more. So that's To me that going to make me money, honestly. That's not a bother for me at all. Okay, so basically, you're ready.

[00:11:38]You're on You're You're on board with me 100%. Of course, I am bored. I'm a I'm a real island woman, you know. I'm a real island girl. Like I said, I never leave my island because oh, I hate it there or da da da da da. It's It's other reasons why we're not wasting these souls.

[00:11:56]>> I love living there and I know I'm going to love being in Jamaica. I love Jamaica.

[00:12:01]A lot. As soon as I land there, you know, I feel like the depression.

[00:12:06]And yes, I know, guys. I know people going to be like, "Oh, it's different because you're visiting. You're not really living there." When you live there, >> We did a lot.

[00:12:15]>> You know, but they going to No, people going to think, "Oh, girl, when you live there, that going to change." But I've lived in the island all my life, so I know how it work. And to tell you the truth, Jamaica is more developed than my island. You understand? It has way more stuff. So, um that's not going to be an issue.

[00:12:35]So, um what other stuff you're looking forward to when you move to Jamaica?

[00:12:42]Um I'm looking forward to eating cleaner.

[00:12:45]Um that's to me like that's the most important. Why poison my body? Mhm. I'm looking forward to um just detoxing myself, being in a cleaner environment with cleaner air, cleaner food.

[00:13:03]I'm just looking slower space. I'm looking to renew my mental my mental health.

[00:13:09]You know, those are some of the stuff I'm looking to walk on the streets and hear people say, "Livvi! Livvi!" See how my beautiful people I love me and I love them.

Well, but again, you don't see your parents them like that anyway cuz we we live in a different city. We live a three three and a half hours from us, so it's not like and they can always visit.

[00:14:48]>> visits me. And my parents is whatever make me happy and they understand because even my mom my mom do not plan to live here forever.

[00:17:09]And I've been telling him I want more from here, remember?

She come America and basically she end up on a work program, but she have a little income a going on she beg me for rent her house for her. You see me? It was one of me little ex them before Livvi though. You see me and me rent it out of the goodness cuz me feel like say not because she was a little side piece. Sorry for be so broad and Livvi no care for nothing. Livvi no care cuz me and Livvi talk about stuff.

[00:19:33]Cuz that's me. Me feel like say me and a girl involved.

[00:19:36]Me a help her. You see me and me rent one place give her and she she break the lease. You understand and that caused me for have a lease termination. I don't know but you had a break lease and you think I I think it was giving us issue to get place because of that. We found this one place and because my rental history and he called the the person and they said nothing but good things about me cuz I always keep the place clean, you know, you know. And not only that too, we find this place and we end up rent it and when we rent it, it's we get back our full deposit.

Living never ever said to me say, "Babe, why you never get a house here like how you have your family here?"

[00:21:45]You understand? But when me decide to go get the Beamer, she was like, "Babe, we don't need another next car." You know, see a lot of people I watch this have kids, you know, married have a house here. Nothing wrong with that. If you call America your home, nothing wrong with that. But you have to remember as I tell you guys, everybody life different.

[00:22:03]Everybody is different. People like what they like. And we just have to respect it. That's all. But I'm not going to lie. I'd say America have Over here have been good to us, of course.
