CBI Arrests Retired Judge Giribala Singh in Twisha Sharma Death Case After HC Quashes Bail

[00:00:00]A retired judge of Giribala Singh was arrested by CBI in the death case of a daughter-in-law Twisha Sharma. Now, Madhya Pradesh High Court late on Wednesday had quashed the anticipatory bail granted to Giribala in connection with the death case. Now, Twisha, remember, was found dead on 12th May and an FIR was lodged on 15th May. On the same day, a Bhopal trial court granted interim bail to her mother-in-law while retired judge's son, Sumit Singh, continues to remain in CBI custody.

[00:00:34]Hearing the matter, judge of the High Court cited repeated allegations, the lack of cooperation, the serious nature of the offense, and the trial court's failure to properly examine evidence while setting aside the bail order issued on 15th May.

[00:00:59]From the very beginning, from the day the family of Twisha Sharma got that unfortunate news of her daughter's demise, they have been saying that there is more than what meets the eye. They have been alluding to the fact that there is power and influence being used. There is a misuse of privilege on the part of the in-laws, especially Giribala, because she's been a retired judge and she was using her clout to try and divert this entire case to her own benefit. She was trying to maneuver the narrative to suit her self and the son.

[00:01:48]The son, Giri Giribala's son and Twisha Sharma's husband, who was uh missing and he was uh not around, even he surfaced on the day that the CBI took charge of the case.
