A therapist who specializes in divorce or life transitions, one trusted person in your personal life who knows what you're going through, and eventually an attorney. Your therapist is there for the emotional work. Your person is there for the 10:00 p.m. phone calls when you're second-guessing yourself. Your attorney is there for the legal strategy. Do not use your attorney as therapist. I always say this, it's the most expensive therapy in the world and it's not what they're trained for. So, get a real therapist. It will save you thousands in legal fees and it might save you your sanity.
