Hermes v0.15 Just Made Agent Swarms RealAdded:
Hermes Asian V0.15 just changed AI agents forever. So, Hermes AI, they just dropped version 0.15, which is the velocity update. And it does something many people thought was years away. You can now give one instruction and a whole team of AI agents go and do the work.
Not one agent, a whole team, splitting up the job, running side by side, finishing whilst you go off and do something else. And here's what that looks like in plain English. You could type, for example, write five blog posts targeting these key words. Hermes reads it, breaks it into five jobs on its own, hands each one to a different agent, and they all work at the same time. You don't baby-sit it. You don't click for every step. You give the goal, the team handles the rest. And this isn't a tiny patch. The new research team shipped 47 separate code changes from 321 people to make this happen. They've been calling it the velocity release for two reasons.
It shipped fast, and it makes you do everything with Hermes way faster. So, let me walk you through exactly what changed and more importantly what it means for you if you run a business and you're trying to get more done without hiring more people. Let's start with the speed aspect because it's the whole point of this update. The first thing they did was shrink the engine. The main file that runs Hermes used to be over 16,000 lines of code, one giant heavy file. They cut it by 76% and split it into clean little pieces. What does that mean for you? Hermes starts up faster.
It launches in under a second now. Less waiting every single time you open it.
And it does 47% fewer extra steps behind the scenes per conversation. So, your jobs cost less to run. Think of it like clearing the junk out of a car engine.
Same car, but now it starts on the first try and burns less fuel. So, here's what that actually matters for your day-to-day. The search. If you've had a great chat with your AI agent and then it, you know the pain. You scroll forever trying to find that one thing.
In this update, searching your old chats is now 4,500 times faster. What used to take about 90 seconds now takes 20 milliseconds. That's basically instant.
And here's the kicker, it's free now.
The old way used an AI call and every time you searched, it would cost money.
It would cost API tokens. The new way doesn't do this, so you can dig through every conversation you've ever had, find that lead, find that idea, find that draft, and it costs you nothing. For a business owner, that's real. Your past chats are full of gold, client notes, half-finished campaigns, pricing ideas, and now you can actually get to them. I don't want to be straight with you about something before we go further. A lot of people watching this have never used a tool like Hermes Agent before. Maybe you've heard the words AI agent and felt like it's not for you. Like it's a coder thing. Here's the truth, it's not. The whole direction of this update is to make the agent do more on its own, so you actually do less. You're not learning to code, you're learning to give instructions to a team that works for you. That's a skill anyone can pick up. That's exactly the kind of thing we go deep on inside the AI Profit Boardroom. We've helped over 3,000 business owners get started with this stuff and a big chunk of them have never touched AI before joining. Right now, there's a whole group inside the AI Profit Boardroom running Hermes Agent Swarms for their content, for their lead generation, for their client work. We've got a 30-day roadmap built specifically around Hermes, daily tutorials walking you through each new feature the moment it drops, and four coaching calls every week where you can show your screen and ask, "Why isn't my swarm working?" Or, for example, "How do I improve my setup?" And get an answer live. If you want to actually set this up instead of just watching a video about it, the link's in the comments and description, or go to the AI Profit Boardroom.com to get access. So, back to the update because I haven't even talked about the big one yet, the Agent Swarms. This is the feature everyone's talking about. In the old version, Hermes had a Kanban board. If you've used a tool like Trello, you know what that is. It's just a board with columns: to do, doing, done. You drag cards across as work gets done. In the old way, that board ran one agent at a time, one job, then the next, then the next. Slow. Like having one worker who has to finish painting the whole house, sorry, painting the whole house before they touch the garden. The new way is completely different. Now, the board runs a whole team at once.
Here's how it works in real life. You drop a task in the board. You say, "Create five blog posts for my business targeting best AI community." You add a bit of context. Make them good. Make them SEO friendly. Then you hit add.
Hermes triages it. That's a fancy word for sorts it out. It reads your goal, breaks it into smaller jobs on its own, and hands those jobs out to different agents. This is the auto decompose feature. It gives it one fuzzy goal, and it figures out the steps for you. You don't have to spell out every task. And then, the swarm actually kicks in. So, you can have four agents working four different jobs at the same time. That's a worker layer that does the actual work, a verifier that checks the output, and a synthesiser that pulls it all together at the end. Everyone shares one board, so nothing gets dropped, and no two agents do the same job twice. And here's a smart trick built in. You can tell it to use a cheap, fast AI model for the simple grunt work. Save your strong, expensive model for the part that needs to be checked carefully. So, you're not earning your best model on busy work. You're spending smart. Whilst all of this runs, you can walk away. You can go and make a coffee. You can take a call. Pick up someone you need to pick up. I don't know. But, the work happens in the background. And if you need to steer it, you just drop a comment on the task with the agents, and they adjust. There's no restarting. There's no starting over.
So, what does an agent swarm actually do for a normal business owner? A simple example, you could tell it to research your top three competitors and write a summary of where they're weak. And the team splits the three competitors up and brings it all back to you in one big report. That's a shift. So, big jobs used to crawl because one agent did everything in a line, very linear. Now, everything happens side-by-side. One instruction in, a finished job out.
There's also a command setup that builds a whole team for you. So, you type one line, Hermes Kanban Swarm, and it sets up the full structure. The root, hands out work, the parallel worker, the checker, the combiner, all wired together, all ready to go. You don't build it piece by piece. One command and your team exists. Now, a couple more things in this update that quietly make a big difference. Number one, security.
There's a new guard built in that blocks attacks trying to trick your agent. If you didn't know, people can hide sneaky instructions inside web pages or files to try and trick and hijack your AI.
Hermes now spots that and blocks that kind of thing. They also moved all your API keys into one secure vault using Bitwarden. Instead of leaving them sitting in a plain text file, where anyone could grab them, there's one vault, you update it once, it updates everywhere. For anyone worried about safety, that's a real step up. Also, notifications. So, now Hermes can actually ping your phone, your watch, or your computer the second a job finishes.
So, you set it running, walk away, live your life, and it taps you on the shoulder when it's done. No more sitting there just staring at a screen waiting for stuff to get done. There's also skill bundles. This one's quite underrated. So, you can now grab a bunch of skills together and switch them all on with one command. So, instead of setting up 10 tools one by one, you load a whole workflow in one single prompt.
For example, you can load a full bundle of browser skills in one go, and now your agent can go out and use the web for you. So, you set it once and it's ready forever. Now, let me hit the thing that stops most people from even starting with this. The belief that this is too complicated for them. I hear it all the time, "I'm not technical. Hermes is for developers." Look at what this update actually did. Every single change makes the tool do more of the thinking for you. Also, decompose means you don't plan the steps. Swarm setup means you don't build the team. The whole direction is less work from you, not more. If you can type a sentence and hit add, you can run this. The second belief I see is people say, "I don't have time to learn another tool." Here's the honest flip on that. This is a tool that gives you time back. The notifications mean you can walk away. The swarms mean the work burns without you. You're not adding a tool to your plate, you're taking work off it. And the third one is people say it's probably expensive. This update actually made search free and cut your running costs by nearly half through fewer steps and the cheap model for grunt work trick. The tool itself is open and free to run. The cost was never the blocker. Knowing what to do with it was. That's really the whole game now, right? The tools are super fast. They got cheap, they got easy. What's left is the part that's actually worth money, and that's knowing what to point them at, what to build, what jobs to hand to your swarm. That's the skill that pays now, and it's the one we teach inside the Air Profit Bottom. So, here's where I'd point you. If you want this set up properly, the best way is inside our agent operating system. It's where you can plug in all your AI agents in one place. Your Hermes, your Claude, your open Claude, your free Claude code, all running together.
We've already built the Kanban swarm board inside it, plus a full studio for images, video, and voice for you. Hermes agent so you can see and manage everything you've made in one clean dashboard instead of digging through a terminal. And you get that inside the Air Profit Bottom with a zip file, a video tutorial walking you through the whole setup, and daily updates as we improve it. We've helped loads of members build their own agent operating system from scratch. Plus, you get the 30-day Hermes roadmap, 100 prompts for agent swarms, four coaching calls a week where you can ask about your exact setup, and a member map so you can meet other people building with Hermes near you. There's always someone online to help, too. Link in the comments and description, or go to the AI profit board.com to get access. So, quick recap on the whole thing. Hermes v0.15 starts faster, finds your auto work 4 and 1/2, sorry, 4,500 times faster for free. It runs a whole team of agents at once with one instruction, builds that team with one command, blocks attacks, locks your key in a vault, pings you when jobs finish, and loads whole workflows in one single prompt using the skill bundles.
Every single one of these changes points the same work. Less work from you, more done. That's the thing to take away from this. The agent's job is growing, yours is shrinking to the part only you can do, which is deciding what's worth doing. If you want to update right now, it's easy. Open up your terminal and type Hermes update. It pulls the latest version in. One thing to note, there was a same-day hotfix, v0.15.1, that fixed a dashboard reload bug. So, make sure you're on that one, and you're good. The people winning with this stuff aren't the ones who watch videos all day about it, they're the ones who go set it up, point the swarm at a real job, and let it run. You can be one of them today. Start with a task, drop it on the board, watch your team take it. Thanks for watching.
