North Korea's constitution has been updated to make clear that if Kim Jong-un is ever assassinated, the country would automatically have to launch a nuclear weapon. That's according to new reporting from the Telegraph, which cites South Korean intelligence services. This update to the North Korean constitution occurred uh this year. The revised policy makes clear that if North Korea's leadership is ever incapacitated in any way, um whether like an assassination, then a nuclear launch must occur automatically and immediately. That's a direct quote from the alleged new constitutional provision. You don't see things like that in any country. Not the United States doesn't have anything similar to that. If the president is killed, you don't automatically have a nuclear weapons launch. But North Korea is doing that as a deterrent clearly because Kim Jong-un is fearful of his life.
