I Created A Weird Wrestling Time Line

[00:00:00]5 years into my TEW9 mod save, WCW is dead. Vince McMahon died of drugs.

[00:00:08]Goldberg is the face of WWF, and Steven Richards became one of the best wrestlers in the world. Welcome to McMahonverse 2001. Now, I haven't uploaded in quite a while. Last year, I honestly just fell out of love with wrestling.

[00:00:23]But, recently, AEW and WWE have pulled me back in, which means I'm well back into TEW9 and I'm back into modding.

[00:00:31]Now, I'm building a brand new 2001 TEW9 mod called The McMahonverse 2001. This isn't just a one-off project. This is going to become the basis of all future projects. Now, I know there's already a great 2001 mod out there by Mr. Canada, but 2001 is special to me. This was the year that I discovered wrestling simulators. It's the year that I found EWD and Promotion Wars, and this was the year that I started modding.

[00:01:01]So, from every game that I've played, EWR, EWD, TEW, I always start with 2001.

[00:01:08]Now, I have released some stuff on Gray Dog under another name other than GDS Games, so you may have seen my stuff in the past. The mod is still in early development. Only WWF and WCW are pretty much complete. I add workers, I add teams, I add relationships, I simulate a few years into the future to see what happens.

[00:01:29]And trust me, TEW has created some of the weirdest timelines I've ever known.

[00:01:35]Let's go ahead and jump into one as I've jumped 5 years into the future. And immediately, Edge has won male wrestler of the year. Lita is the winner of the female wrestler of the year. WWF is the company of the year, which reminds me I haven't changed it in the narrative, so they become WWE. So, there's something from testing that has picked up.

[00:01:55]Brothers of Destruction are the tag team wrestlers of the year. The match of the year in WWF was on a random episode of SmackDown in which Goldberg and Jeff Hardy defeated Edge and Chris Benoit.

[00:02:06]Yes, Goldberg jumped to WWF at some point in this timeline. Already this timeline has gone off the rails. Scott Steiner was male veteran wrestler of the year. Kid man somehow becomes the independent wrestler of the year, meaning he is not in either WCW or WWF.

[00:02:23]I mean he is still in the WWF and considers herself the MVP of the program. Now, let's answer the big question.

[00:02:30]What happened to WCW?

[00:02:33]WCW went out of business >> [music] >> in 2002.

[00:02:37]September 16th. So, they lasted over a year longer than they did in real life.

[00:02:42]I genuinely tried to get them to go out of business earlier.

[00:02:47]Drowning in debt, networks TNT and TBS are set so they hate wrestling on their network. The owner has outside interests other than wrestling. I've even tried on another save as Vince McMahon to try and buy out the company, but they always reject it because we're at war with them. Usually in these trials, WCW dies within 1 to 3 years. If anybody knows how I could possibly make this happen quicker or even so WWF and Vince McMahon have a chance of buying them also Bischoff and Viacom have a chance of buying them, please let me know down in the comments.

[00:03:25]So, with WCW gone, WWF have a clean slate and a run at the end of the top five stars in 2005 are absolutely insane. Goldberg, Edge, The Rock, Triple H, and Lita. Only two of the five started in WWF and are anywhere near the level to be the top guy or girl in the company.

[00:03:47]Now, the title scene gets even weirder.

[00:03:50]Kurt Angle is the Intercontinental Champion, which isn't that weird, but he started the game as WWF Champion. And he was already on his way to being absolutely outstanding. Undertaker is the WWF Champion in 2005. Again, not that weird, but he hasn't reverted to his dead man gimmick yet. He is still the American Bad Ass. Edge has become a three-time WWF Champion by this point.

[00:04:15]And Jeff Hardy defeated Stone Cold Steve Austin in the main event of WrestleMania 19 to become WWF Champion.

[00:04:23]Which actually feels like a total alternative timeline situation. Like that feels like it could have happened in an alternate universe altogether. The AI actually created a women's championship because I hadn't got round to it yet. Lita became a five-time WWF Women's Champion. Trish Stratus actually became a megastar. And Stacy Keibler actually turned up in WWF and won the Women's Championship. She did it on three occasions. Somehow, Big Show and Chris Canyon became WWF Tag Team Champions. The Hardy Boyz became nine-time WWF Tag Team Champions. Too Cool, Grand Master Sexay and Scotty 2 Hotty became one of the greatest tag teams of all time. And then the Shane Douglas and Jeff Jarrett randomly showing up in WWF as a tag team, which feels like it would never actually happen. Now, let's talk about the biggest star in the game right now, which is Goldberg. He has 99 popularity pretty much across the board. At the start of the mod, he starts with 85 popularity in the US.

[00:05:27]Shane McMahon is the owner of the WWF.

[00:05:31]So, naturally I thought, what happened to Vince? He um he died in 2002.

[00:05:38]Because of drugs.

[00:05:41]And before anybody asks, no, I didn't set it in his attributes that he had drug problem. That must have just been created within the game.

[00:05:49]The TEW AI created that chaos.

[00:05:53]But, the more shocking rise in the whole of this save game has to be Steven Richards. Look at that popularity.

[00:05:59]Again, 89 across the US. And at the start of the mod, he is the manager pretty much of the right to censor group. 2005, he has 89 popularity. 89.

[00:06:15]His brawling stat has gone up to 85.

[00:06:18]That shot up. He was in the low 70s, high 60s at the beginning of the mod.

[00:06:23]Somehow become one of the best wrestlers on the planet in this save.

[00:06:28]Honestly, I'm expecting him to headline next year's WrestleMania. Eric Bischoff is the head booker of the WWF. He doesn't even start as head booker in WCW. He starts on hiatus.

[00:06:40]So, once again, even in the McMahonverse, hell has frozen over and Eric Bischoff is in the WWF. Let's look at some WrestleMania events because this is where things got absolutely nuts. The main event of WrestleMania 17 in real life was Stone Cold Steve Austin versus The Rock. In the McMahonverse, Kurt Angle defended the title against Kane.

[00:07:01]Now, like in the real world, Undertaker and Triple H still had their match and it was a banger. 91. Steve Austin faced Billy Gunn and it finished in a DQ. The amount of times I've done these simulations and Stone Cold Steve Austin versus The Rock has happened one in about 50 so far. And it wasn't even for the title. Angle always seems to have the title past WrestleMania. [music] They have it Trish Stratus has defeated China for the WWF Women's Championship.

[00:07:33]Trish Stratus is pretty much a rookie at this point. Her stats weren't even that good. Well, they obviously see the potential, which I haven't set in the game. I've had to set it random, but she must have just had a really good roll of the dice. The next video I plan to do will have a look at the mod from the start in 2001. Now, if you look at WrestleMania 8, whatever you want to call it, this is headlined by Chris Jericho, which is in real life, but this time it's against The Undertaker for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship. Edge is actually facing his WrestleMania 19 opponent, Booker T, who is known as King Booker in this save. They obviously used his alternative character.

[00:08:23]The TWA I loves King Booker.

[00:08:27]Unfortunately, Hulk Hogan didn't move to the WWF at this time, so there was no icon versus icon match. Instead, we got The Rock facing Crash Holly, Shane Douglas, and Kurt Angle, but it was a banger.

[00:08:40]WrestleMania 19, we got the absolute banger of Jeff Hardy defeating Steve Austin for the title in a passing of the torch moment. As of destruction defeated Edge and Chris Jericho, who became a team in this, and they did in real life, but a bit later in the timeline. Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle had a banger at WrestleMania, which they did at WrestleMania 17, but in Wrestle before WrestleMania 19, they had that banger at the Royal Rumble. You could see Jeff Jarrett, Scott Steiner, and Triple H formed a stable or a faction known as The Clenched Fist. That definitely sounds like something the AI would create.

[00:09:15]And yes, you read that correctly. At WrestleMania 19 in this mod, Sting versus Psycho Sid at WrestleMania.

[00:09:25]We are now at WWF WrestleMania 20, and the mod has gone absolutely insane.

[00:09:31]Goldberg defeated Edge for the WWF Championship. Too Cool and The Dudleys had obviously started their passing of the tag titles back and forth. The Undertaker defeated Chris Benoit, which would have been an absolute banger in real life at WrestleMania.

[00:09:46]And then look at this one. At WrestleMania 20, Kane versus Lex Luger.

[00:09:53]Wow. This point, I start to check some of the tag teams and stables that were created by the AI. Check these two out.

[00:10:02]Shining Force and the Black and Blue Crew.

[00:10:10]So, Shining Force are Dustin Rhodes and Shane Douglas.

[00:10:16]And the Black and Blue Crew are Bradshaw and Crowbar.

[00:10:20]Finally, we get to WrestleMania 21 in 2005. We've got Goldberg defeating Kane, King Booker, and The Undertaker for the title. 92 rated, not too shabby. Trish Stratus defeated Lita to return the WWF Women's Title. No divas around here, it's still the women's title. Steven Richards, one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, defeated Eddie Guerrero, which got a 96 rating. Too Cool defeated The Elite.

[00:10:49]That's right, The Elite.

[00:10:53]The Elite is Al Snow and Lance Storm.

[00:10:57]Kurt Angle had a banger with The Hurricane, who showed up in WWF with his Hurricane gimmick.

[00:11:03]Although he looks like Shane Helms he does, but that's because I'm not actually in the roster page, but it says The Hurricane. I guarantee he has his Hurricane gimmick in the WWF. It's the clenched fist again. Triple H and Jeff Jarrett taking on Steve Austin and Jeff Hardy in a ladder match.

[00:11:20]There you go. The McManiverse surely is a magical place to live. Honestly, sometimes that's what I love about TEW's AI. Out with reality and somewhere along the line, the AI makes it crazy and fun.

[00:11:33]Meanwhile, Steven Richards becomes one of the greatest of all time. Goldberg is the face of WWF. Triple H and Jeff Jarrett and Scott Steiner become the clenched fist, and Trish Stratus actually becomes one of the greatest.

Get Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton, Shelton Benjamin, John Cena. It's going to be an absolute blast. I can't wait. So, obviously I'll be bringing more videos down the line, especially more testing videos.
