This video features a weather forecast explaining that high pressure systems push air outward and can bring specific weather conditions, with the meteorologist discussing how an 'omega block' pattern will bring dry, cool air to the region, potentially creating record-breaking cold temperatures in late May (forecasting 53°F as the lowest high temperature, compared to the 1963 record of 53°F and 1961 record of 49°F). The forecast also covers the expected rain pattern over 24-36 hours, with temperatures in the 30s and 40s, and explains how weather patterns can shift based on atmospheric conditions.

So, uh, John, a lot of folks, this was sent to me probably 20 years ago, maybe even 30. A lot of folks, they don't, they they think the Americana clothing is a little disgraceful. All right. So, I keep this in the background. What do you think? Are you okay with it?
>> No, I think that's nice.
>> It's okay to put on clothes as the American flag.
>> I mean, that's not an actual flag. I don't think that was cut up. That probably wouldn't be good. But, >> I mean, anything like that is paying tribute to America.
>> Okay. If you look close though, there's a lot of stains on it to show how old this thing is. But uh so I prefer this today. I'm wearing my >> my t-shirt. Here you go. You're going to properly fold that maybe. Let me see if he knows the boy scout fold.
>> Well, it's not a real flag.
>> I could do it. Wait. You need help though. It's a twoperson process.
>> Here we go.
>> I forget. It's been too long for me.
>> Fold.
>> Oh, you're going to fold.
>> Right. Isn't that how you do it?
>> But it we're gonna have that kind of time. All right. So, our new theme.
There it is. Red, white, and you, my friend. So, John, it's a big deal. 250 years for our country. It's a new young country we live in. But we have to >> Where was the party that when we had the photo taken?
>> The party looks kindy's on the upper right. If you can show everyone that you see it.
>> AI >> AI created this image with us, but it proves our point that >> I'd wear that.
>> John told me earlier he's not a two button guy.
>> No, that's that's a little much.
>> Yeah. And uh I >> You look kind of yacht rock there. Yeah, it made all of us look just a little bit better looking than we actually are.
But the point is folks, okay, so send in your pictures. Remember the theme was up until now Elvis Yoga Birds. So now we're doing anything representing our great country and celebrating it 250 years this summer. It's a big deal. And the Gojo 29 bike ride is going to start in July.
>> Where though?
>> Philadelphia.
>> Philadelphia. Where else? Right. So, we're going to get into all that in the next week or two, but get your pictures in. Pointer at wp.com.
>> Terry has a great fanny pack.
>> Yes, she does. And Mindy is promising to wear her American uh tutu sometime here on streaming either today or maybe next week. She has to order it. John, you're not going to see much sun this weekend, but there's your sunrise and sunset times. You feeling good about it?
>> Oh, yeah.
>> 8:21, baby. 8:21. But you won't see the sun after today. So, we're in the 30s and 40s now. Lopez got down to 33 this morning. A little chilly out there, but today not a bad day. John's getting he's going to leave work. He's going to get packed up and he's heading west.
>> Yep.
>> What do you got? A three-h hour, 4 hour drive.
>> Little over three hour.
>> Okay. So, going to be a lousy weekend. Are you ready? Are like do you bring Do you bring cards? Do you bring a clue? Kplunk game. What?
>> There'll be clue.
>> Okay. Um, cards, >> cards, >> lots of games.
>> Lots of games.
>> I heard Renie saying to the kids that were packing last night, don't forget books.
>> Books.
>> Got to read.
>> Got to read. But today, a better day and a good driving day because let's go to tomorrow. So, you wake up at 5:00 a.m.
It's going to be in the 40s to near 50.
Look at these temperatures tomorrow.
>> And John, see how the blues get darker here?
>> Yeah.
>> The contours are saying, >> "You mean where I'm going to be at the Alagany Plateau elevation where I'm going to be?" Yeah. where it's going to stay in the 40s in many parts tomorrow.
If you're up above like 13,400 ft, you're in the 40s.
>> We'll be at like 1,800 ft.
>> Oh man, what a just a could be a record breaker tomorrow for the coldest high temperature. We'll talk about that. So, high pressure in charge now. It's pushing in with this northeast wind. But as that high drifts east, it's going to grab that east wind. So, today, look at how those winds shift. So everything you're going to be breathing in, especially tonight and tomorrow, coming from the ocean, but till 11 o'clock tonight, we're still dry. Maybe the first shower, >> which that's good.
>> Yeah, today is going to be a dry day.
Have your fun. Get ready for tomorrow.
So, partly sunny to cloudy, 65°. We're going to talk about that ant and how it's going to crawl on us next week. But let's time it out. High pressure drifts east. That's what I'M TALKING OH. OH.
OH, they That's my actual first Holy Communion picture.
>> There's something There's something in those eyes.
>> There's >> You knew there was trouble.
>> You could see it.
>> You just see it in the eyes.
>> When is first Holy Communion again? I forget. You just went through this with your >> second grade usually.
>> Second grade.
>> Yeah. Well, when I had it, it was third.
>> Okay.
>> So, that's probably when you had it around third grade.
>> Yeah. So, third grade. So, uh you know, I'm I don't know how old I am there. 8 n 10. I had the bold haircut. There it is.
>> I had the same haircut.
>> And you got the nice rosary in the hand, >> of course. Yeah.
>> And I can still recite Hail Mary, act of contrition. I can do all that. No. So, I'm going to try. Here we go.
>> I'm saying it to myself.
>> It's not working. Still, it's not going to work.
>> It's just going to be a ugly day tomorrow. Everyone in the east.
>> Now, on Sunday, the the steady rain moves east. I think it'll be kind of cloudy. So, you can actually get outside.
>> I will say one little thing. When you showed this this morning from where I'm going, I got a little tiny little sliver of hope.
>> Yeah. Watch. So, there's tomorrow 7 a.m.
This is 400 pm. We're still in a steady rain. John's out here. It may break up with the scattered showers.
>> Even if I can just get out for a walk.
>> That's all it takes, right? Just just >> But it doesn't look like our viewing area is going to have that.
>> It's just going to be wet all day, all evening. Let's go to Sunday. Some showers in the morning. I think a good part of Sunday will be just cloudy.
>> But at least you can get outside in cloudy skies. Uh we could see an inch of rain. We can handle this. It's going to be drawn out over 24 to 36 hours. So no flooding issues, just a lot of rain. So look, see, feel, appreciate today. Raw rain Saturday, an inch or more. East wind, 40s. Oh. Oh. Sunday and Monday, cloudy, some peeps of sun on Monday with a few showers. You think what's going on in this head is bad? I got proof.
>> He has proof.
>> These are some of the thoughts I was thinking about. John, what do you think the coldest high temperature in late May ever was?
>> Well, I saw it earlier, but I was thinking probably in the 50s, low 50s.
So, tomorrow, 53 is the lowest high temperature. That was in 1963 on May the 23rd. So, we could break that record tomorrow. But has it been colder in during the last two weeks of May? In 1961, the record low high 49°.
Wow.
>> So, it has gotten there be but I checked in a hundred years it only happened like three or four times.
>> Yeah. This is rare stuff.
>> So, it's pretty rare what's going to happen.
>> And just to remind everyone again, the normal high >> is about 734.
>> Yeah. So, woo. But we had 90 >> last week, right?
>> Sunday it gets a little warmer up to near 60. I'm I'm semi troubled by the weather pattern next week. So, this ant represents this lobe of dry, cool air that's going to descend upon us. We call this thing an omega block. If you're anywhere in here, it's the best place to be. It's sunny. It's dry. If you're here, it gets sunny and warm. We're talking 80s. But we're in a weird spot where if this thing backs up a little bit more, it's going to start getting ugly. Cloudy and 60s.
>> Oh boy.
>> This is the sweet spot right where his head is. We don't want it to get any more in, if you know what I mean.
>> So, it's a close one again.
>> It's a close one for next week. I have mid70s there and dry weather, but we could be in the 60s with dry weather, partly sunny skies. Wow.
Appreciate today, rain tomorrow. And a lot of folks like this. They do.
>> They want low humidity and 70s, and that's what's going to happen. But I want 80s and 90s and humidity and frisbes and beach weather and bikinis.
>> You can pray all you want, but what's going to happen is going to happen >> through next week. All right. So, at least we won't be saying this this weekend, right, John?
>> And we can't wait to see your red, white, and you pictures cuz I think it's going to be a good one.
>> And you won't be saying your majesty anytime soon.
>> Nope.
>> We'll be right back.
