Today my topic is the international place value system. The international place value system is used in most countries around the world to read and write large numbers. In this system commas are placed after every three digits from the right. In the international place value system numbers are grouped into period. Each period has three places. Ones, thousands, millions.
We separate periods with commas. Periods and their places. Ones period. Ones, tens, hundred. Thousands period.
Thousand, ten thousand, hundred thousand. Millions period. Million, ten million, hundred million. Example, nine nine hundred nine thirteen million five hundred seventy two thousand six hundred forty eight. So, each comma separates one period from another. This help us read number part by part instead of all at once. Insert commas in the table. Read it aloud using the international system.
Count the world the international way.
