Crossing paths with strangers and what it means

[00:00:00]Now, I don't usually share these things with people, but I'm made a commitment that I'm going to start sharing it on my TikTok account.

[00:00:09]All the interesting little things that happen to me that are kind of by chance or are unusual or that I think are unusual that maybe other people may or may not experience. So, you tell me if you've ever experienced something like this or if it's regular for you.

[00:00:27]I just went to the bank, went to the ATM, and I go to pull in and I'm I'm the only person there, but there's this woman who pulls in next to me and goes to the ATM. There's two there.

[00:00:37]She goes up first, and I'm going to go to the ATM next to her. So, I get out of my car. Before I get out of my car, I think to myself, "Oh, there's somebody to have a conversation with. I can make a new friend."

[00:00:49]I do not I've never thought that once going to an ATM in my life.

[00:00:55]Not once.

[00:00:57]The minute I start to walk up to the ATM, she turns and looks at me and goes, "You know, I think I've seen you around town. Um do you do hair?" And I said, "No." We started a conversation, and she says, "You know what? I just need $4."

[00:01:10]She's like, "These ATMs don't give you only $4." And I'm like, "No, they really don't." Um she wasn't She was, you know, like an old She was older than me. She said she's 74.

[00:01:21]And um she has, you know, nice car, nice clothes, and everything, but she just needed $4. For some reason, she just needed $4. I didn't even ask her why.

[00:01:31]Um Anyway, we have a conversation about all the deals at the nearest stores um for things that we love, and it was interesting. So, I go to my car, and I realize I have a five, right? You know, I have $5. I have a $5 bill. I usually don't carry cash with me because, you know, everything's Apple Pay and and all of that. So, I come out, and I give her the the the $5, and she's just like I'm like, "Next time you see me around town, you can pay me back."

[00:02:00]You know, she's like, "Oh, okay. Next time I see you around town, I'll give it to you." She was so happy. She was honking and waving and everything. And you know, I mean, I'm not sure why these things happen.

[00:02:12]We're crossing paths, you know, just crossing some paths and being fellow humans. And who knows?

[00:02:19]Maybe I knew her in another life. Maybe there's a connection there somewhere down the line. She told me about her family and everything. And I have these interactions a lot. Have you? [00:02:40]Lots of contact with strangers and things like this. She needed $4. She didn't need more than that. She just wanted $4.

[00:02:48]So, I had the opportunity to give it to her. Why? I don't know. But she really needed it. She was on the phone with somebody and she was stressed out. So, >> [laughter]
