There's a biologist, there's a chemist, there's a geologist, there's a physicist. Those are kind of like the main branches, and then within those branches, we have a lot of sub-disciplines. Combine geology and physics and we call it geophysics.

[00:00:38]>> it could be anything that we deal with on a day-to-day life. We walk outside, there's the atmosphere. You feel an earthquake, again, we're talking about the physics. If we start using compass to navigate, the compass is directed from the Earth's magnetic field and that changes over time. Not to mention, if you measure the Earth's magnetic field, it's also affected by things beneath your feet. So, if you have a big body of iron ore beneath your feet, you can measure the change of the Earth's magnetic field at the surface.
