To crack JEE Advanced in your first attempt and secure a seat in IIT Madras, students must treat the exam as a thinking test requiring strong problem-solving skills rather than mere memory recall; class 11th is more crucial than class 12th for building foundational concepts in mechanics, thermodynamics, algebra, and calculus, and students should focus on solving numerous problems to develop pattern recognition, take mock tests to simulate exam conditions, and revise by re-solving previously solved questions while clearing doubts promptly.

How to Get into IIT Madras in First Attempt π | JEE 2027 Strategy π₯Added:
Okay. So hello dear students. So welcome to PWJ English. So today's video is going to be a quick um video on all the students who have recently entered class 11th and 12th. So in this video we will talk about J advanced primarily right because if you want to enter into the best IT as you all know you have to get a very good rank in J advanced right. So this video in this video we will mainly talk about how can you crack J advanced be 2027 or 2028 uh in your first attempt itself okay without taking any drops. So we are going to talk about the most important points that you should keep in mind and these are non-negotiables.
Okay, if you want a very good rank, these points are going to be very important and crucial. Okay, so uh let's begin with the very first point and that is like J advanced as an exam. It's not a simple memory test similar to let's say the English exam in class 10th which you guys gave, right? So J advance is mainly a thinking test. Okay. But it's also I mean memory aspect there is a memory aspect to J advanced as well and that is pattern recognition. Right. So the type of questions that J advanced ask usually follows a pattern and these pattern uh you guys can be comfortable if you solve a lot of questions right.
So like for example the electric flux is a very common pattern that Jay asks every year almost advanced. So if you guys have solved a lot of questions in your coaching sheet which has to do with electric flux then you will be comfortable with that. Okay. So when that electric flux question comes in your IT exam you would be able to quickly solve it. So that is pattern recognition. So there is a memory aspect to J advanced as well but your thinking needs to be strong as well. Okay. So it's not a simple memory uh it's not a it's not an exam which you can crack by simply using your memory. Okay. And if you want to be very good at problem solving and thinking you know J problems then your foundation should be very strong. Okay. So the foundational aspect uh of 11th and 12th it starts in 11th.
Okay. And uh 11th is clearly more important than 12th because in 11th you build up the fundamentals. So when it comes to physics it will be the Newton's laws uh the general mechanics ideas that you learn vectors calculus all those things are foundational. Okay. So for all the 11 standard students who are watching make sure you focus on these foundational topics right and these are mechanics thermodynamics algebra calculus organic chemistry basics right so here you can have the go and stuff so 11th standard students usually they take it very lightly because they have a lot of time right so don't do that 11th is very crucial even for 12th okay and the 12th standard students who have just started their prep right so we have the lakshi j batch doing and a lot of those students actually find integration very hard. Okay, which is a topic which you cover in class 11th. So 11th topics are crucial. So make sure you focus on the uh 11th topics. Okay, so if you're in class 11th right now, make sure you study these topics uh in detail. Okay, don't take it lightly. So that's the first tip. The second thing is for the 12th class students who have just entered class 12th, right? Uh so there is a peer pressure when it comes to board exams, right? So very simple advice is that boards are boards are significantly easier to you know get a good rank good marks in as compared to J advanced and the most important topics in board exams are also the topics in J advanced as well. So if you prepare for J advanced your boards will be cleared very easily. Okay. So like for example the average J mains kid uh right who can you know get like 80 percentile in mathematics let's say he can easily get like 90 plus in CBSC maths okay so boards are significantly easier so make sure your focus is on J preparation from the start of class 12th itself okay J would be qualifi you know you you will easily clear the board exams the next thing is you have to this is the most important tip that uh a lot of students actually watch the lectures right and they read the theory uh from general theory books like etsma but when they start solving the problems right when they start reading the problems and you know drawing the diagrams they freeze they they don't know what to do after uh what is the next step you know how do they proceed and uh this is a point that bugs a lot of students and the simple solution uh not the simple it is going to be hard but the only solution to this issue is you have to solve a lot of problems so the only way you can get good at problem solving you know and not freeze is to be is to solve a lot of problems okay and this is where I in my opinion a course actually helps a lot uh so in let's say the Lakshia J course which is going on right now uh when I am covering a topic I usually take a lot of illustrations and in that illustrations I explain the underlying process step by step okay so that each step is clear for the student when it comes to books um you know the J books the issue with that is the solutions are basically the thinking of the author right but they don't mention how to think about solving problems okay so this is why in my opinion you should get a course especially if you're struggling with problem solving uh your problem solving will get significantly better but there is no escaping that hard phase where you are not able to solve questions right you're struggling with questions you have to struggle with them and slowly and eventually you will get better at that skill. Okay. Uh so this is the ultimate goal. The ultimate goal is like when you're sitting for J advanced whatever topic uh the question is based on in front of you that should be that should strike you instantly. Okay. So like for example if it's an electric flux problem um and uh and the thing is you can instantly identify it which problem type it is and uh the solution the blueprint of the solution should come to your mind instantly that is the best case scenario okay so this is also back to that first point in which I said J advance is a pattern recognition examination so if the pattern if you guys are confused by the pattern and you can't figure out what is this question based on you won't be able to solve it or you would take a significant amount of time to solve it.
Okay. So that's why it's important to catch the pattern and uh this you will only get strong at uh by solving a lot of questions, watching theories, watching lecture videos, solving a lot of DPPS etc. Right? So this will come with time but keep solving. Okay? It's okay at the start.
It will be a struggle phase but eventually you'll get stronger. Okay?
Next thing is uh tests and revisions.
These are also extremely important. test is important because ultimately you're going to write a test right J advanced so it's very important to simulate that situation in real life okay and tests are the only way you can simulate that in real life and all of your mistakes will be live so if you are committing silly errors or uh any type of error if if the pattern is not clicking if you have a weak topic everything would be clear when once you give mock tests so testing is very important uh and in my opinion you should start testing at the start itself. You know, once a few topics are over in your um coaching, you should start testing as well. Okay. So, solving problems is not enough on its own. You need to simulate the exam scenario. Right? Next is revision. Now, there's a lot of ways to revise what you have already learned. But in my personal opinion, uh the best way to revise is first you do your initial practice very strongly. So, if you're let's say our first chapter is electrostatics, you cover that very strongly. you clear all your doubts, solve the DPPS, solve the coaching modules, um do all of that perfectly and let's say few months have passed since uh the starting of your class. Let's say you're in month four or five. The best way to revise would be you can create your nodes, you know, short nodes, you can make that and uh revise using that. But even better is you pick up the DPBs which you already solved earlier and resolve it. try to resolve it because some of the facts which you covered back then you would have forgotten and that you can revise by resolving it right so the best way to revise is in my opinion to resolve or just solve questions in general okay so solving questions is extremely important it's important for revision understanding um and improving your problem solving ability and your p pattern recognition so without being a good problem solver you just can't do well in this examination And uh if let's say you are somebody who keeps forgetting formulas then this is also useful to make short notes for formulas but in my opinion if you solve like 50 60 questions on a topic uh those formulas are usually by hearted you don't really need to cover them again okay so now this is very obvious you need to clear your doubts and um in in Luxi J batch if you are a part of our batch then the thing is there is live doubt solving so the faculty as you guys uh are getting doubts live you can ask your faculty and uh we will clear the doubts instantly and if you get if you guys get doubts after the lecture then what happens is you can ask it on the PW app and it will be cleared pretty quickly okay so clearing doubts is important right especially the topic of integration a lot of students get doubts uh when we are taking the element right and integrating in physics that is a very crucial skill a lot of students get doubts in that and uh the best way is to ask to the teacher while you are learning. Okay. So uh in summary basically take class 11 super seriously.
So if you are class in class 11th take it very seriously and uh if you are in class 12th also you should take class 11th a bit seriously like you should uh don't spend too much time but like like 90% of your time should go to class 12th itself. But you need to understand that J will ask class 11th and 12th both and next year the 12th guys need to give J right. So your 12th should I mean 11th should also be kind of revised you know you should um kind of take 11th seriously even if you're in 12th okay but the thing but the interesting thing is while we are covering 12th a lot of important ideas of 11th is already covered right the electrostatics my bath students would know like a lot of electrostatics problems um mainly is a mix of 11th topics and 12th right so it's not like we are ignoring class 11th it's automatically being revised but yeah it very important. Now then you need to stay consistent in class 12th right ignore uh don't take boards too seriously at the start main focus should be on J itself then you have to solve a lot of problems to understand all the concepts right so um this should be straightforward now then you have to take test so like in our batches there is organized tests like they will give you the date the syllabus everything for that uh way beforehand so you can prepare and actually take the test very seriously Okay. And uh then you can clear doubts as they come. This is also important and this is another reason why I think you guys should be part of a course. Right. So now there is a batch uh in PWF which is the Laksha J in English batch. Okay. So I am going to be mentoring you guys for physics and uh this batch has already started. So in case anybody is interested in who's in class 12th and uh you guys want to clear it this year or the next year, you can join the batch. Okay, it has already started. Uh but the current price currently we have a discounted price for the batch. So the batch price is 4,200 rupees, right? So these are the you know rough you know feature uh features of the course. So all the lectures will be delivered in English language, right? it will be purely in English and you will get daily practice problems which are relevant to J advanced and J mains it'll be a mix um and uh you can give it as a quiz format so basically what we covered in class you can test yourself in a quiz format while giving the dpbs uh and then all the PDF notes that are covered in class will be uh uploaded in the app instantly after the lecture ends and uh then we have peer-to-peer doubt solving Of course you know uh you can if the fact you know while the class is going live you can ask your teacher and the teacher will instantly solve it or you can ask the doubt later you know post class you can ask the doubt in the PW app and you know you will be assigned uh an expert who will clear your doubt instantly okay and uh then we have scheduled tests as I said earlier testing is very important it's one of the reasons why most people couldn't clear the J exam because they never take test seriously or they don't even take tests at all. Right? So testing is very important. Next is revision classes will be provided after the syllabus completion. So we would complete the syllabus as early and efficiently as possible and then we are in the next phase we are going to revise everything that is needed for your mains and advanced examination. Okay. So that will be done and uh this will be accessible until the J 2027 exams. Okay. until your J advanced is over you can access it and uh chapter wise handwritten notes will be provided. Okay. So for you guys who who don't really want to uh make those beautiful notes and uh who wants to and some of you guys just want to practice right you don't really want to focus too much on notes uh good handwritten notes will be provided even though I do recommend you guys also make your notes but it is provided and also the formula sheets will be provided.
Then we have all India test series. So at the end of course once preparation is done you would like to test where do you stand at the national level. So we have AITS for that which is all India's test series and here you can test yourself amongst your peers right. So that is a bit of uh explanation as to what happens in the batch. So it has already started and uh I would say anybody who's interested you should join as soon as possible because uh J is at the end of the day a time game as well. So if you make it too late you know once you start the course it will be very hard to catch on later. Okay. So you should start as early as possible. So that is it dear students for this video. If you have any doubts or queries you can ask in the comment section and uh the link for the batch will be available in the description. That's it. Take care.
