And by the weekend, it's hot as in mid and upper 80s, but a fair weather conclusion to the county fairs, at least this go around. Your storm reports are many in central West Virginia for high water, and there were clusters of strong winds south of Charleston through the river cities back through parts of central and western Kentucky. I actually think that if we're going to see a tornado report tomorrow, it's going to have been from the mountains of West Virginia, from Raleigh County over toward the Greenbrier Valley. Looked like there was the most rotation of all today. The Doppler radar swaths of heavy rain from Columbus over toward Buckhannon in central West Virginia. Buckhannon and Upshur County under flood emergencies even at this late night hour for a tremendous amount of rain having fallen, 3 to 6 in on top of rains from the recent week. And from the Huntington Ashland-Ironton area down into parts of the coalfields, including Boone and over into Fayette County as much as 2 in of rain falling. The official at Huntington Tri-State Airport coming in under an inch, but downtown Huntington, we had close to 2 in in the downpour. Just a few miles away made a big difference. [00:01:50]Opportunity for a leftover shower breaks the sunshine midday 75. End of the day, it's a refreshing feel at 80° with lower humidity. Makes it a nice night at county fairs in Cottageville, Milton, and over in Webster for this week's go round on the fair circuit. Note how the Doppler radar cleaned up nicely. The last of the storms are east. Still some buildups east of Charleston right now over into Nicholas County can still have a flare up with a rumble of thunder or a flicker of lightning. And south of Kentucky into Tennessee, still a valid severe thunderstorm watch in the National Weather Service. But overall, leftover swaths flood warnings, whether be from Boone over into Fayette counties, and from the Little Kanawha River Valley over into mountainous West Virginia. But for the most part, this next batch of rain should be well-behaved as in not cause any new flooding. Though there will be a quick burst of rain and a rumble of thunder in parts of interior southern Ohio heading into West Virginia. That's what our future cast says. By the time we get to tomorrow morning, the rains are tapped out save for a scattered shower. Can you see the northerlies blowing tomorrow? That's bringing in a breath of air pushing the humid air down south toward Myrtle Beach where there can be some storms. But our area getting in on a dry pattern, whether it be tomorrow, Thursday into Friday. Top of the hour temperatures are still very humid after the rain. It's 78 Huntington, also out weighing 75 Charleston. Note how as you get to the north, it's still in the 70s. So we'll struggle to get into the upper 60s overnight. I'm going to post as low as 65 or 66 MacArthur and Athens. Areas of fog, but most area thermometers near 70 when we wake up tomorrow morning. By midday, the morning clouds are starting to break for some sun. And look at this, on a north breeze, we're only in the mid-70s. Scroll ahead to the middle and end of the afternoon, the temperatures have hit 80° with a breath of air. That means lower humidity. And tomorrow night will be ideal on those cottage those county fair midways with temperatures in the 70s. So overnight it's warm and humid. The shower thunder threat will be be waning in the pre-dawn hours. Still some leftover high water in those areas we showed. Low at 68. Forecast tomorrow morning, clouds giving way to sunshine.
