[00:00:00]All right, so here we are Wednesday the 6th. We're up at Kevin's shop and and we, that's the royal we, are going to [clears throat] do a test ride on this um little 500. He's got a tiny little drip here that we think might be coming from the sump cap.

[00:00:17]Um tell the client about it. Client can decide if he wants Kevin to look into it. Means taking off the bash plate to get at the probably the sump drain cap.

[00:00:28]Um so we'll decide.

[00:00:32]Let's go out here and we'll watch the uh This is a cold start from yesterday.

[00:01:24]I don't know if I hear a little stutter in there or not.

[00:01:41]Okay, I listened to it as he went down out of sight around the corner and uh just every I heard a pop and um that's all. I mean, it just just a stutter for a moment. Um the bike is running a premier. It's running the number 17 pilot jet. He's got short uh ex- shorty exhaust on it that are wide open. And it might be worthwhile to put a uh larger pilot jet in it. We'll pass that by the owner.

[00:02:56]And I heard just a slight stutter in the alley Yep. and a slight stutter when you were down at the end of the block.

[00:03:03]>> Yep. And that's all I heard. Other than that, it sounded good.

[00:03:06]>> Yeah, it did. It just It just needed uh I think just run a little bit. Um I don't know if you might have heard me miss the shift. I couldn't hardly get my toe in between >> [laughter] >> the foot peg and the gear shift. These 500s are sweet, but they're not a lot of room in there if you got a big boot on or shoe, so >> And they they got them size 13 clown shoes >> Yeah, yeah, it just it I had to you know, finally figured, "Oh yeah, I got to angle it more."

[00:03:28]>> Yeah. No, I did not I did not hear I did not hear you miss the shift. So, >> Okay, yeah. we'll edit that part out.

[00:03:34]>> That's all right. Yeah, yeah, that's that's rider error, so that's not a that's not a problem.

[00:03:39]>> So, No, she ran fine, shifts well. Um again, you know, you just got to remember click, get your foot out of the way, got to let it reset.

[00:03:47]>> Brakes work fine. Um lights >> headlights look good.

[00:03:51]>> Yes, yeah. It I think that LED really is a nice difference for this. Yeah. Um no, she she works fine. It handles well. You know, again, you get up pretty high speed and it was only four gears. You get a little buzzy with this 500, but nothing you know, that's what the bike does.

[00:04:08]>> Yeah, and he's going to use this more obviously as a desert sled. He's got no tachometer or uh uh speedometer or anything like that, you know. Um no, no, she's ready to go as far as I'm concerned. Mhm. Um if he has any further trouble with the stutter, but it it seemed to clear up pretty quickly. Okay. So, just cold.

[00:04:26]Yeah, I think so. I think so. If he has, you know, that continues cuz it it like I said, after the stop sign, I didn't have any problem. So, who knows? That might have been rider as much as anything else. Just getting used to the clutch and everything. Okay. So, no, she's a good little bike. She's ready to go. Now, you say desert sled, man. I would take that to the nearly Harley Harley hangout with all the Harley-Davidson drivers and I'd park it right in the middle of all these Harleys and watch them go nuts over this bike.

[00:04:54]You know, and they would, too. You take it out to Cave Creek and park by one of the big Harley hangouts. Yep. Those guys love these things, right? Yeah, it's got a nice sound. I was wondering about that pipe and It's a small pipe. Yeah, but it's a it's not a horrible sound. It's a nice sound. Uh uh Uh it's not obnoxious and thank you to the fellow who caught the uh Yeah, the clamp. Yeah, >> [laughter] >> thank you. Yeah. I had a getting this pipe back on cuz you have to pull it off to get the primary case off, the primary cover off and I had to wrestle it back on and I think after 30 minutes of wrestling with it, I just forgot about the bloody clamp. Yeah, it's a pretty it's a pretty exhaust.

[00:05:32]>> Oh, it's beautiful. I love it. Straight straight exhaust, no no muffler.

[00:05:36]>> And I'm you know, this looks like it's homemade that the connection here to hold the pipe up. Oh, yeah? Yeah, oh, I think so. Somebody did good work.

[00:05:44]>> Absolutely. Whoever did this and he said he bought it from somebody who who claimed they did the work. Overall, I think they did a very nice job.

[00:05:52]>> I'll tell you what, when I was working on it yesterday, I didn't find anything at all to pick on. No. No, it's a very, very clean bike, very, very well-built.

[00:06:01]Look at the Look at the quality Yeah. on just this choke assembly. It's gorgeous.

[00:06:06]It's chrome plated. It's just lovely.

[00:06:08]And uh choke off, choke on, choke off.

[00:06:13]Jeez, it works so smooth. Yeah. So, um Yeah, the only thing that was a surprise, I glanced down, I hadn't seen this.

[00:06:20]A bit of rust here. Oh my god, take it apart quick.

[00:06:23]>> [laughter] >> We'll just I got a brush. We can clean it right there.

[00:06:26]>> no, no, no. You You think I'm joking.

[00:06:28]We're going to take that out and clean it.

[00:06:31]>> Yeah, yeah. Yeah, I glanced down and just saw that and Okay.

[00:06:45]Yeah. E, 1 2 3, ABC. All right. Okay, we have put the bike back on the lift. We cleaned up the adjuster and pit and uh lubricated the pivot, lubricated the pivot, and uh put uh some nice lubrication liquid down the length of the cable.

[00:07:04]So, that's nice and smooth. Got a little bit of play.
