True ingenuity lies in the ability to perceive structural order within discarded chaos. This project masterfully demonstrates that resourcefulness is the ultimate form of practical intelligence.

Trash becoming TREASURE! It just took a lot of thinkinโ ๐คญAdded:
I can't really see, but surely we're on there good.
>> Yeah, >> it's a tree house.
>> A tree house. Okay. Whoa. You're testing my skills now.
>> It's trash, y'all. It became a treasure.
Trash can become a treasure.
I'm trying to listen for a pig.
I have been hard at work, y'all. And I've made quite a mess.
That over there is almost done. And that is a wall. It's going to be a wall.
Working on some It It just looks like a bunch of big mess right now. Let me tell y'all what I've been working on though. Hold on.
Oh, so I kind of forgot that I was making a video and I need to hurry and get all of this stuff out of my husband's parking space before he gets home.
Um, but here we are and hopefully it looks a little less now like just a pile of junk. I'll tell y'all what we're making. I need to get my scrapboards cleaned up first though. because I've already stepped on a nail.
Yeah, it's just it's other than that, it's been a great experience. I better put some screws in this before it falls, though.
Okay, perfect. Clean up. Clean up.
When I say clean up, I'm just putting them all like in a pile together because I might need to use some of those.
Yes, even this battery's dead.
I need to add some more framing on the front and for the roof. Just going to have a roof.
>> So, do y'all want me to build you one of these?
>> Uhhuh.
>> Like a playhouse.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. It's a tree house.
>> A treehouse. Okay. Whoa. You're testing my skills now. Okay.
Ground house. I can do tree house. I can try. Don't >> ground house.
>> Okay. Ground house. I can do >> tree house like tree house.
>> Oh, you're designing rooms already.
Great.
>> I stopped videoing again because building this thing entirely from like all this scrap wood I have laying around. It requires a lot of like stop and think about how I'm going to do things. But let me show you what I've what I've wound up with here. So, what we've got is made almost entirely almost entirely out of pallets. And I took the back boards off these pallets, kind of respaced everything and moved them to the front to make us better walls here.
By the way, this is going in the chicken yard as a part of the chicken yard within the yard. I'll have to show you all when we get over there, but it's just going to be a way to move the food and water out of the coupe and keep it dry and secure so goats and pickley don't get to it. So, here we've got our picket walls, and I screwed those all in together real good. And then that's a picket. I notched it out to create this frame for a little window here. And that's in case I want to be lazy and not go all the way into the yard, I can open this up and pour my feed into the feeder through the window.
Cute, right? They're all cute. I have a framing board at the top and the bottom of it here. One, for stability, and two, because I'm going to have to put a roof on it. Like I said, this is to keep the chicken food dry and protected from the other animals. So, it is going to need a roof. Matter of fact, I should measure this and see if we have a piece of tin or two somewhere that could could fit on there. When we look at it from certain angles, y'all are going to notice we got some some wonky stuff going on here.
This pallet was not quite as long as that pallet on that side. Same height, not quite as long. 5 inch difference to be exact.
So, that is the width of this extra 2x4 I put on here. But then this is going to be replaced by the gate post. I'll have to explain it better when I get it over there. I have something else here that I was going to transport over along with this. I'm not quite sure I'm ready to show that entire thing yet. I think it needs a whole story of its own. Okay.
And I know if I transport it right now, even while I have the tractor handy, Pops will show youall before I get to it. I probably should have put some boards under this thing um for a a steadier ride.
We're We're going for it and hoping for the best. It's fine.
I can't really see, but surely we're on there good.
It's in there, y'all. I don't know how well y'all can don't know how well y'all can see because it got dark.
And what I am doing now is searching for Piggly.
Piggly, come on.
Here, little pig.
I'm trying to listen for a pig.
Piggly, I keep hearing. I think I Piggly Piggly.
God damn it, Pig.
No pig. Ow. NOW I'M GOING TO CLIP myself on the tractor bucket.
She better be going back to that yard when I find her.
I found the pig. I found her. Now, I was out searching in the dark with nothing but my phone, flashlight, and then my phone died and I was still searching in the dark, but I did find her.
>> You want to know where >> I had an old beat up bucket. I was going to sit there this morning, take yours, and have them.
I knew where they were. I knew try to pull one over on me.
There are a few places that I know to go and search for Piggly when she makes her grand escape. Okay, I was taking that banging on the tractor. Me and Pop both got distracted getting it off those long extensions. So, I started my search.
Okay. In the dark here. Piggly comes here sometimes because Pops feeds the birds over here and sometimes she can find some food. Same with over there behind the truck or even over there by Pop's animal yard back there or back there uh where my dad feeds his animals or over to my garage. She was in the garage and she was all the way inside of my bag of dog food. And the second she heard footsteps come in the garage with her, she didn't even know who it was yet. Maybe she did. Maybe she knew it was me. But the second she heard footsteps, she just starts squealing and she runs. And she runs all the way back home, y'all, because she knows she's wrong. So, this is about, I think, where it's going to go. And the ground's not quite level here. So, I might need to scooch it back and fix that. But what I mean when this looks a little wonky is that this is going to get taken out.
This will scooch over and then this board will screw into here instead.
Okay. And that makes us a nice square shape.
Okay. Excuse me. Yeah. I don't mean to be in your way or anything.
Thanks. That was beautiful. That was a good song. Now, this one here is coming all the way off. I'm going to actually move it.
Oh, no. I don't want to lose any of these out here. I'm going to move this whole thing up so that our roof can run at a little bit of an angle. Run the water off. This here can come all the way off. I probably should have left myself a little bit of better angle than that.
No, this Oh my gosh. Every time this 2x4 here came off, but this thing doesn't get all the way removed cuz I'm going to screw it right back into this board. I just have to figure out how to carefully slide it over now that it's not braced very well without breaking anything.
Okay, I gently scooched that. It's actually pretty sturdy, y'all. And now that this is here, I can get this all flush and screw it into this post.
And then I guess as long as my board still matches up here, we should be all um angled the right way.
It's there. And it is all secured into this post here. Not going anywhere. Um I have to measure the top of this now and see what kind of tin I got. Make sure I have some 2x4s and 1x six's to frame out the roof.
And I think that this is where I leave you guys today. One more project almost complete. I'm going to do my measuring.
I'm going to do my feed time and we will resume this project very soon.
This trash, y'all. It became a treasure.
Trash can become a treasure. And I think this thing's pretty cute. Honestly, y'all might not have the same style as me. I think it's really cute. I may come through here with some more scrap boards and close up all the gaps if need be, but it is pretty strong and I can't wait to see it with the roof on it. Thanks for hanging out and I'll see you guys on the next one.
