Cirrhosis is a serious liver condition that can result from hepatitis, which may be contracted through blood transfusions, and in its stage four form, it causes the liver to shut down, requiring a liver transplant for survival; symptoms include jaundice (yellowing of eyes and skin), severe abdominal pain, and significant weight loss, while treatment involves medication for hepatitis and cirrhosis along with strict dietary restrictions such as avoiding sodium and sugar.

I Have Stage 4 CirrhosisAdded:
Hey guys, welcome back to Simperfi Mechanic. It's been about 3 weeks since I put out a video. If you guys been following for a while, you know I put out usually two or three a week. Well, you can probably tell my face is a lot skinnier.
I've lost 20 lb here in the past few weeks, but I need to tell you guys what's going on. I just don't want to leave you out there like, "Hey, why isn't this dude making any videos anymore?" I've had stomach issues for a while that would come every couple months, you know, and I'd get sick and I'd just let it go.
Well, last week or the week before, I was having very bad stomach pain. Like I could not move.
And also my eyes was turning yellow, right? Like jaundice. So, we had to call the ambulance cuz I couldn't even get out of the chair.
The ambulance took me in and they did a bunch of blood tests and stuff. What came back with was it was pretty brutal.
It came back as liver failure.
And I have cirrhosis, stage four. And when you hear cirrhosis, you think somebody that drinks, right? Well, anybody that knows me knows I haven't drank in like 20 years. So, it's non-alcoholic. What causes this is hepatitis. What they told us today was after testing it and looking how far back and stuff, it looks like it's linked back to a blood transfusion that I had about 10 years ago.
And I didn't know nothing about it this whole time.
I got labs done and it's just this past 6 months that it's went downhill. So, I was diagnosed with hepatitis, right?
From a blood transfusion. And then cirrhosis, stage four. So, it means your liver is shutting down.
And you're going to have to get a liver transplant. Without it, it's like 1 to 3 years that you can survive, you know?
But we're still waiting on the test to come back to see how bad I am, you know?
But something's going on. I've lost 20 lb. I don't know if you guys can tell how yellow my eyes are.
See the yellow tint, right? Yellow skin a little bit.
Uh so, that's what we're fighting right now.
We haven't been able to do any mobile mechanic work or anything like that just due to the pain and the doctor's appointments. This is my third day out of the hospital and I I didn't eat for 10 days.
I just couldn't. I was so sick. I feel a little bit better today than I did yesterday, so that's good. And now I have to change my whole diet around because you can't have any sodium, right? Or sugar. So, all the Monsters I loved, they're gone. Certain things I can't eat. Had chicken on a salad last night, chicken salad, you know? So, I got to eat a lot healthier. I mean, it's pretty traumatic. My wife's freaking out.
Um my kids are, you know, they're kids.
But I can tell my oldest, my son is worried.
First of all, when he seen me, he's like, "Damn, Dad. Like, what the hell?"
Because of the weight loss.
And uh stage four, like if you look up stage four cirrhosis, there's not a lot of good news, you know what I mean?
We'll have some more answers later to see how we can get on the liver transplant list. But right now, it's just day by day. But I needed to get on here and tell you guys just a quick update. So, what they found was altogether, I had three bleeding ulcers, right? I have hepatitis.
And then I have cirrhosis and then I have my pancreas was inflamed a little bit.
And my esophagus was all inflamed.
Today's appointment, that was a big appointment cuz they thought I had a blood clot.
And like in my stomach. And today they finally ruled it out. There is no blood clot. So, that is the only good news we've had. We got to start taking medicine for the hepatitis. We got to take medicine for cirrhosis. We got It's just it happened like that. Bam! Your life flipped upside down.
And it is scary a little bit, you know?
I'll show you.
No tears. Yeah.
Little emotional, you know, when I look at my wife and kids.
>> [snorts] >> But we're going to beat it. So, none of that matters.
But I just want to get on here and tell you guys what That's why you haven't seen any mechanic videos lately.
And I don't know when you will. It sucks cuz there's no money being made.
If you guys do want to donate to the channel or donate to Like I'm not doing a GoFundMe or nothing like that. But if you guys do want to help, I'll have my Cash App and Zelle up here.
You don't have to at all, you know. I say that in every video, though. So.
Except when you guys donated before, we would help out with somebody that didn't have enough money for the repair.
Now, if you donate, you're buying me food, helping me survive.
If you believe in Jesus, you believe in God, pray for me because uh we do need it, you know. Nothing is for certain. But I do want to make it clear.
The only reason I've even been able to get out of the hospital bed or get up anything or do anything is because of my wife, Haley.
I give her props. Like soon as she found out about this, she started diving into cookbooks. She cleaned out the refrigerator. Like she's making everything completely healthy from scratch or whatever. She's got notebooks with the appointments. She's got the notebooks with my with my blood count was all that stuff. She dove in the day we got the diagnosis.
If I didn't have her, I would have just laid in my recliner and died. And that's [ __ ] facts. You know I love you. And like we always say, semper fi till next time.
