This incident is a pathetic display of emotional illiteracy, where parents trade their children's psychological safety for a momentary, violent outburst of entitlement. It serves as a grim reminder that a lack of self-control in public spaces inevitably leads to life-altering legal consequences.

>> Man, I just need to make sure you don't have anything, any weapons or anything.
>> I don't got nothing. I'm in a freaking airport.
>> Listen, listen.
>> I WANT MY HUSBAND AND MY KIDS. I'M >> JUST GOING TO CHECK.
>> WE GOT HERE for a family vacation. And this is what happened. They will give US OUR MONEY BACK.
>> I understand. That's crazy.
>> He choked me out. Good.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> Yeah. We were on the ground. He like I was like tapping out.
>> Are you serious?
>> Yeah.
>> Oh, he's not getting this bad early.
He's going to he's going to get more than that.
>> Oh, yeah. I was like, >> "Oh, dude, it was it was it was a dog pile."
>> But we we like >> started >> they they got the flights canled and then he was yelling at them and I was like, "We're closed. We're done. We're done. We're done this." And he start reaching his hand and like touching their keyboards, like typing on their keyboards and I was like, "Bro," I was like, "You can't be doing that." And he's like, "Fucking touch me." He hit my hand. And I was like, "Bro, back up."
And then he hit my hand. And then I was like, you can't be doing that. And then I went over, like, you need to back up.
And he went like this. And I was like, and just on top of me like no reason.
>> It's all on camera. It's all right.
>> It's on camera.
>> Yeah. We were on the ground. It got the worst.
>> He had me like I came down like this. Do whatever you wanted to do.
>> I was tapping out, bro. I couldn't see [ __ ] >> They were all there. We were on top and then his wife showed up.
I told him right now >> and his wife was outside of hell, >> right? So So actually I did the opposite. I let him live. Actually I Yeah, I let him live.
>> No, I could have. It's a difference.
It's a difference. It's like you can kill me with the gun, but you don't.
Right. All right then. So what you saying? You just sound like a clown like the rest of y'all. You sound like a clown. He thought he was about to rush me. That's what happened. He attacked me first. He thought he was about to rush me and got the worst of it. That's what happened. Until his homeboy came. Until his homeboy came. Huh? Cuz you're a cop.
Just like you, clown. Cops to handcuff people. They don't get handcuffed. Even the crooked. Y'all handcuff people.
Y'all don't get handcuffed. Right.
That's why you ain't in the handcuffs, clown. Right. Yeah. Exactly.
>> Moments like this can quickly change the direction of an entire situation. As medical teams step in, what happens next will be just as important as everything that led up to this point.
>> How are you tonight? What happened, man?
Uh the old the boy over there tried to rush me then attacked me and broke my leg.
>> What's going on your leg?
>> Right leg. Don't Don't move it. Don't move it.
>> Right here.
>> Right there. Right there.
>> You want to get it closer?
>> Yep. Yep.
put any pressure on you guys with >> I need somebody to go with them follow.
>> Yeah. Could um ride with >> probably ride with? Yeah. Follow >> you too.
>> You ride with and then get my phone.
>> Okay. I doesn't want to be in your way.
You ready?
>> Um, she just she's got that good.
>> Can you tell me can I learn a little bit what happened at the spirit ticket counter then?
>> The guy we had an encounter with that guy earlier. That's why he was so mad.
That's why he just lied on my husband.
We were here earlier. We had to literally beg these people for 2 hours to print our tickets so we can go to this flight. Just so happened I'm checking my Spirit app and the flight was delayed. The lady that probably snatched my phone kept saying the flight already left. I have the app. I checked the app. I said, "Ma'am, I'm sorry.
You're being dishonest. This flight is delayed. It says delayed to 7:00. At this time, it was only 5:40."
>> What time were you supposed to leave early?
>> They didn't want It was the the flight was supposed to leave at 5:10. We were at the counter arguing with them the whole time we've got here. We got here cuz the kiosk didn't work. It was giving us some kind of error message. Three times I tried to log in. The line is ridiculously crazy because they don't have enough freaking employees by the time we got to a representative. We were 5 minutes quote unquote past the 45 minute mark and they're telling us we're late. And we're like, ma'am, we just talked to four of your employees. The kioses aren't working. We weren't late.
The machine isn't working. You guys have a long ridiculous line. It's not our fault. We were here in the time frame you say be here. Please print our tickets. We have to get home.
>> Mhm.
>> I have veterans to meet with tomorrow. I love my job. I love helping the people that serve our country. I don't want to make these people wait for forever for their benefits. I have important news tomorrow. I tried to tell this lady that she didn't want to let us on the plane even though it was delayed. And with him breaking it down to her several times, they got tired of us and finally gave us our tickets. We get there, then we find out that it's delayed even more. And then the whole BS starts and we were even fine with that. out to the gate. It was delayed again when y'all got >> We had the load that plane three times and get off three times. These people are upset because we're like, jeez, we got kids. It's a Caucasian lady out there with her for her little bitty babies laid out on the floor. I felt horrible for her trying to calm her infants down. I would be so mad and I'm just like, where's the humanity? So, this is what I was trying to find out when we were at the ticket counter cuz normally normally >> they rebook or refund. That's why I'm trying to find out if they were saying they're not refunding your guys' tickets or the whole flight's tickets.
>> No, they're not.
>> But I was going to go talk to the supervisor.
>> He was saying they're not refunding our tickets.
>> He was not Yeah. refunding our tickets because we told him he he encountered us earlier. He already had an issue with us from earlier because they didn't like the fact that we were fighting for our tickets earlier. So then now he's biased.
>> So there was other people in the line. I don't know if you heard saying that they were going to give them their money back. So was that were those other folks that were supposed to go with you guys?
>> I'm assuming that everybody on the line in that line had to be anybody's tickets. They were just telling us, no, the guy was telling us he wasn't going to refund us because my husband was saying that they needed to refund us and they needed to be giving us something on top of a refund. We're from Ohio. We've spent $5,000 here in freaking 5 days.
Why should we then have to go pay for some expensive crazy hotel in Orlando to sleep tonight and they're saying that they can't fly us out to freaking Thursday? He's like, "Come on, do something better than that. Y'ALL JUST TOOK US THROUGH a bunch of drama earlier for this same freaking flight and now we didn't even get to go home and you're telling us that you're not going to do anything and he's Yeah. being all >> crazy acting instead of just saying, "You know what? I understand what happened to the customer is always right in a business like this. A veteran could never call me and have an issue with somebody below me that I manage and I'm going to treat them like that. I'm going to find a middle ground. Where's the customer service skills at?
They are horrible.
>> They are. And I'm not going to lie.
There's other airlines.
>> I saw a young lady who were freaking She was laughing at us and she works there.
She was laughing at everybody in line.
>> And like that's why I consider where's your humanity. WHY ARE YOU LAUGHING? You get to go home.
>> And I'm going to tell you what I tell other people. We cannot do anything about crappy customer service. And I'm not saying it's right by any means. But there's not just >> But then to go through all of that to see beat up like that's too much. That is too much.
Then I've been with him for 24 years.
I've never seen him be in trouble. He is not a bad guy.
>> I don't think you guys are bad guys. I guess >> for that man to lie and say he was assaulted. You're this big. You're big as my pinky. My husband is a big guy. If my husband insulted him, >> don't you think he would have still been standing there?
>> Why are you lying? That's what frustrated me. I'm like, DUDE, YOU'RE LYING. WHY ARE YOU FREAKING LYING?
BECAUSE YOU'RE MAD ABOUT EARLIER.
You put him in a messed up situation. So then the cops are automatically coming to him like he's an aggressor because that's an employee. NO, READ THE WHOLE ROOM.
>> That's that's not true because I will say I'll speak from personal experience from officer Gri's personal experience.
There have been employees at airlines that show their behinds >> and that I've had to pull the employees aside and tell them to knock it off and that the passenger was right. But like I said, I can only speak for myself when I was across the hall dealing with something else. So I don't know what happened.
>> Now they probably just shot my husband to death. I'm so afraid of that. I see it on the news every day. And then they're going to have an excuse as to why they shot him or beat him up or something. Oh, he was an aggressor. He wasn't.
>> So now you're assuming that, >> ma'am. I'm sorry, but ma'am, I'm Africaname. This is where we live in the world. This is the world we live in.
>> But that's not everybody. I don't assume anything about you.
>> I don't have any I don't have any >> I don't have any reason to believe otherwise when I just seen three Caucasian men attack my husband and punching him in the face and not one offic and I'm like doing what's wrong with you and he's attacking me.
>> He's doing his job >> and I'm telling him that he doesn't need to touch me like there was already two other cops on me.
>> Okay. I wasn't there so I don't know. I just know what you're telling me that you're assuming certain things because of what I do and what I look like towards your family and I have done none of that' >> and I don't assume anything of you and the fact that you work for the VA >> fear it's I understand that right and you're right and this is good to have this conversation cuz I need you to put yourself in our shoes this is scary reality I have to tell my son I said a predominantly white neighborhood he likes young Caucasian and girls and I have to unfortunately tell my child I don't want you going over there because I don't know how their father thinks of you just because you're black. Have you ever >> No, but I know what neighborhood I stay in and I hear how they talk. And so unfortunately my son can't even be >> can't even be in a biracial relationship without me being fearful. That's crazy.
That's crazy.
>> It is crazy. And those are nice little young ladies, but I don't know what they're being taught at home.
>> But you haven't either.
>> I hear how they talk.
>> Okay.
>> They're very blatant and bold and they don't like the fact that I'm a young black couple living in a predominantly white neighborhood and that I have money and that I can take care of my They don't like it. It's a bunch of older white people. I'm telling you the world that I live in. This is why I have this fear. This is why I have this fear. But I'm not saying all of you are like that because I am part of the reason why I am the way that I am because I had a mentor growing up who was a Caucasian lady.
>> So I'm I'm with the airport authority.
I'm nothing to do with the police department or with spirit. When someone gets hurt here, we do a report. That's what they mentioned. Um I can do a report if you want.
>> Oh yeah. I want everything documented. I need it documented. It has it'll have nothing to do with your encounter with spirit in your flight. That that you'd have to take up with the airline, but as far as being injured on the airport's property.
>> Mhm.
>> Um I I got your information.
>> My shoulders are going numb at this point. I keep asking to be unhanded and it's not happening. I don't know how long I've been handcuffed for. I'm not attacking anybody. I never attacked anybody. I don't know why I'm still sitting in these handcuffs. So you have shoulder pain.
>> I have cerebral pausy. Is anybody familiar with that? I mean what the hell? This is a common disease.
>> Is it that it has >> And right now your arms are numb and my shoulders.
>> My arms are numb. My shoulders are numb.
My fingers are numb. My wrists are numb.
>> Everything is in pain and my whole upper body right now. I said I protected my husband. I jumped on top of my husband to protect his face cuz you were trying to punch him in his face. That's what I did. I never swung at you guys or anything. I jumped on top of my husband in fear of my children seeing my husband getting beat up by three cops for absolutely no reason because a freaking worker lied and said that he some kind of way that he did it. You need >> stand up real quick.
>> Can he go?
>> Just go.
>> No, he's got to stand by if you want me to put these on. He's got to stand by for two seconds.
>> I don't trust him. He might try to punch me. He might hit women.
>> Just stand up and turn around. I don't trust them.
>> Stand up and turn around.
>> Charges will be filed with the state attorney's office and then that's why I was asking you if your address is correct on there because if you don't have a good way for somebody to get a hold of you and they want to talk to you about the case and then you never respond back, they'll just issue a warrant. Right. And then as far as your husband is concerned, my understanding is like I just heard he's getting X-ray of his ankle and then after that he's going to get transported to jail.
>> And then doing what? What are your charging? He's got several charges, but >> battery leo, multiple battery le charges, battery by strangulation.
>> I don't know.
>> Resisting. I know. I'm just letting you know what it I mean, he'll have >> Can you explain that to me?
>> I mean, he'll have a he'll have a bond of something. I don't know what the bond is on those specifically. I don't know on each one of those charges what they'll be, but he'll be able to post bond on that.
>> And then he'll have to obviously come back for court and everything else when that happens, which won't be right away, but it will be eventually.
>> When can you not just transfer it to Ohio? No, >> that's not not how it works because the laws, even though we are under the United States, each state has different um laws the way they're written. Um so, but the way the law would be written here in Florida may be different from the law um in Ohio.
>> Okay. So, they didn't really [ __ ] I mean, you're saying we got to go back and deal with spirit who just >> I would deal with them over the phone. I would go back especially the way you were treated with the one employee there. I mean, but me and my kids need to know about our flights and stuff.
>> Well, I you've got even here >> I can't get anybody on the phone. I try to call.
>> Well, there's right now there's probably still there's still like 40 people in line, maybe. And it's it's moving as snail space. So, I mean, if it were me, I would just try to do it for a different different airline and then work with them on the back end and try to get them >> my husband. I don't >> Well, once like once you find out what's going on with him. So, I don't know how long the hospital is going to take.
That's that's the the very >> How does it work binding? I don't We're not criminals. I don't know. How do you How does it work binding somebody out? I have to wait till he goes to court to get >> No, no, he'll go to jail and then he'll get to call you from the jail and say my bail is, you know, whatever 8,000 10,000 something and then you do a bond get with hold the bondsman >> unless you pay.
>> Yeah. They can they'll set up something where you pay like 10 percent for him to get out. So they'll charge you 10% of whatever that is uh whatever his bond is >> and then he can get out based off of that.
>> And then the the process just goes as far as um whether or not an attorney is the way way you want to go. We can't advise you on that stuff because we're not >> attorney we got an >> but he uh he won't you won't be able to see him at the hospital. So >> why?
>> Cuz he's under arrest right now. You can't go in in the room with him or anything. So there's officers there with him right now and then the officers will be switching out >> making out there alive. That's what I'm really concerned about.
>> Okay. Do you >> going to a jail around people who just literally four people who just attacked out?
>> Okay. Well, we we don't need to talk about that. Right.
>> No, I'm not going to kill his dad.
>> Let's have all your stuff and I'll talk to you here in the hallway. How about that? So that way we get away from the negative that that you had earlier and and might have been hopefully the positive for you. So let's grab it.
Guys, if you want to help your mom, grab all your stuff. We'll head out.
