“Venezuela Tell The Hague Court: ‘We Doh Recognize Allyuh!’”

[00:00:08]These events made Venezuela deeply [music] apprehensive of her neighbor's relentless hunger for more land.

[00:00:16]Guys, today things got serious on the world stage. All eyes was on the International Court of Justice in Hague because this Guyana and Venezuela situation.

[00:00:32]This is not just talk again. This is land, oil, and who really in control of the future of the region.

[00:00:41]The Essequibo, more than half of Guyana's on the line.

[00:00:47]You could imagine that. I could have never seen this coming, but you know, I'm not Guyanese, all right? So, what really come out of this hearing today?

[00:00:58]Let's break it down and find out.

[00:01:05]So, according to the Reuters, today's hearing was very important. But let me be clear from the start.

[00:01:15]This was more about positions. The both sides showed exactly where they're standing.

[00:01:22]Now, here's where it's it gets interesting.

[00:01:27]Venezuela basically come out and say, "We don't recognize this court authority at all."

[00:01:36]They telling the International Court of Justice straight. They don't accept this jurisdiction over the dispute.

[00:01:46]All right? And they doubled down on their long-time agreement because there was an agreement made in 1899, a border ruling and they say it's unfair, it's colonial and it shouldn't stand.

[00:02:12]This should be settled one-on-one, country to country. This is their statement, not by international judges.

[00:02:23]Tell me why. Tell me why Venezuela. Tell me why it should be settled country to country.

[00:02:44]Now, let's look at the other side and the other side is Guyana.

[00:02:58]They asked the court to confirm that the 80 18199 ruling is true.

[00:03:12]It's validated.

[00:03:15]Right?

[00:03:19]Then they go on to say that they want it legally locked in the Essequibo as theirs once and for all.

[00:03:29]They want it to be done with. They've been going on for how much years? Over a century?

[00:03:37]A century of going back and forth with the Venezuelan um country and different that's different regime, huh? There was different regimes at the time. They want legal binding agreements. Not to say that the ruling in 1899 was not substantially enough, but you know what it is to be having Venezuela as a neighbor.

[00:04:08]It wasn't easy one. Remember dictatorial leadership, Marxist regime.

[00:04:20]Here's a key takeaway and my reaction.

[00:04:23]And this is where the whole thing does raise serious questions. You have one country saying, "We going by international law." And the next one saying, "We don't accept the country in the first place."

[00:04:37]So, even before any final ruling come out, the real issue is this.

[00:04:44]What could happen if Venezuela just turn around and say, "We don't accept nothing."

[00:04:49]What's going to happen?

[00:04:51]Because this is not just a legal battle anymore. This is power, influence, and who is willing to stand their ground.

[00:05:01]And as we are watching all of this unfold, I just want to say this.

[00:05:09]We could talk politics, we could talk oil, we could talk power, but at the end of the day, this is about people's lives, the future of the whole region.

[00:05:20]So, my prayer is that God, you give wisdom and leadership on both sides.

[00:05:28]That pride don't take over and will not prevail against peace.

[00:05:36]And that no innocent life ever get caught up in the middle of something that could have been handled right away.
