[00:00:00]Friends, we had a technical infraction or two here overnight postqualifying tech. The number four AJ Foy Racing Chevy driven by Kyio Klette qualified 10. And then also Jack Harvey, that number 24 Rinbold Chevy found in postqualifying tech to have modified, illegally modified EM's, energy management systems. It's a strange name for things that it's a weird name what they are.

[00:00:30]It's the carbon fiber clamshells that bolt on top of the A ars. The front and rear suspension. Those are made out of steel. You see on the cars that it's carbon fiber. It's just a protective cover. Inside of those, they have things like the brake lines that are protected from rocks coming and hitting them at super crazy speeds or the tethers that hold on to the outer parts of the wheel in a crash and get ripped away. Those get basically protected hidden inside those clamshells. The EM modifications were not some underhanded thing. I've spoken to a number of crew chiefs and said, "Hey, is this cheating or was this just a mistake?" So far, every single one has said it's a dumb mistake. Used the wrong hardware to bolt and hold those clamshells together, which I'll show you here, the rear suspension of one of the cars. But prior to 2026, teams were allowed to do a lot of different things with how they actually attach those clamshells. They could put captured nuts on the bottom and close in the little hole for the bolt to go through. They close that in, make it all super nice, just drop in a bolt from the top. Some teams would just use cable ties to hold things in place.

[00:01:44]But indeed, rule came through an update this year. They've been very serious about on the Indie Car side with Indie Carar Officiating Incorporated saying none of that as it is supplied by Delara and the nuts and the bolts. Got to use that 100%. No more improvising. Allowed in 2025, not in 2026. So Kyle got moved to the back. Jack got moved to the back.

[00:02:10]Both apologized. Said it's misunderstandings. If it was all the cars in one team, we could say there was intent. That would be the logic takeaway. One car among the three in the Floyd family, one of the tooth and dry and rhyold. I do believe these were mistakes compared to some sort of underhanded plan. And if this is the area of the bolt or the attachment method for this is where folks are thinking they're going to get pole position 500, they're just silly. So just sharing with you some folks have no clue what the hell went on. It's really about as small and and minute as it could get, but indeed illegal. They paid the price.
