Economic sanctions and financial pressure can serve as effective diplomatic tools to compel nations to negotiate, as demonstrated by Iran's economic crisis (70% currency devaluation, 70-100% inflation, collapsed military) creating conditions for potential diplomatic deals, while successful negotiations can yield immediate economic benefits such as reduced oil prices.

Trump SIGNALS possible Iran deal within a week追加:
Well, moments ago President Trump telling ABC News that he thinks a deal with Iran to extend the ceasefire and reopen the Strait of Hormuz could happen, quote, over the next week, pushing back on claims that negotiations are Dunzo.
>> It comes as the president takes aim at the peanut gallery for its incessant chirping undermining talks. That would be the Democrats, excuse me, Democrats.
>> He posted on true social early this morning in part, quote, Don't the Democrats and various seemingly unpatriotic Republicans understand that it is much tougher for me to properly do my job and negotiate when political hacks keep negatively chirping, adding, quote, Just sit back and relax. It will all work out well in the end. It always does.
>> But the Democrats, I mean, Democrats have their own opinions on how things are going.
>> Well, the top priority is ending the war in Iran. This has been an absolute disaster for the United States.
>> President Trump announced we were going to kill the Ayatollah and did. We've now got Ayatollah 2.0 and a more aggressive and less trusting IRGC, if that's possible.
>> This is a president that This is shameful. He is failing and this is no great deal. It's a furtherance of the disaster that he created.
>> Here was reaction and to discuss that, former deputy national security adviser K.T. McFarland. Those Democrats we ended with Senator Cory Booker, they act as if the American people can't actually just see what it what we know is happening over there, K.T. How do you see this playing out?
>> I just save those clips. Save those clips of every one of those people saying Trump doesn't know what he's doing, he's made things worse, it's the end of the world, it's all horrible, because I promise you, before the election, and let's assume it's probably before the end of the summer, Trump is going to get a deal. And once he gets a deal, the oil prices will go down very quickly, cuz there's a lot of pent-up oil. It's sitting just sitting on tankers in the Gulf. And once that oil hits the market, prices will go down, uh gasoline prices will go down within days, certainly within a few weeks. And what a you know, what an incredible save it at the last minute story for Donald Trump. If all of a sudden he goes into an election with gasoline prices plummeting, and look and having a success in the Middle East. I think it's going to happen. I don't think it's going to happen easily, and it may not even happen as quickly as President Trump says. There'll be a lot of ups and downs in this. But at the end of the day, it's going to happen because Iran can't keep going with no income and no support in the region.
>> Well, now let me ask you, cuz you kind of gave us a timeline there, I think, of like end of summer. And President Trump just recently posted, I think within the next week we could have a deal. We've been dealing with a lot of timelines on this for a while, KT.
>> Right.
>> I mean, I do is a week timeline now like possible? Or is this just another week that's going to become another week and another week? I don't know. How do you read what's happening right now? Cuz frankly, I don't know how to do it. I can't see what's going on.
>> Well, and I don't think any of us know.
And President Trump is probably the only guy who knows, because he's seen the intelligence, he knows what's happening internally in Iran. You know, there were reports that the Iranian president, the civilian president, um is has submitted his letter of recognition resignation saying that the IRGC, the hardliners in the IRGC, are calling the shots, not him. So, he can't even really negotiate for his own country. We're not really sure what's going on. But if you start looking at the at the objective evidence, what's happened? The Strait of Hormuz, they've closed it, but we have a pathway through it. We've taken ships through the Strait of Hormuz. We could open that probably without a lot of military action.
Meanwhile, the blockade is 100% effective. There are no ships going in or out of Iran. Iran is not making any money. Iran's military is devastated.
Their civilian economy is collapsing.
Their inflation rate is 70% 100% in in foodstuffs and things people really need. Their Their currency has fallen by 70% and they're in real trouble. Now, can they keep going on? Can they keep going on? Probably. How long? You tell me. How long can a military go enforcing order if its own people are not being paid?
>> KT, moving on to this, Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is again asking the United States for help.
>> We are thankful to United States and European partners when they share with us intelligence. The last massive attack and it just just to understand it was some days ago it was 600 drones, Iranian drones, Shaheds, and they had 35 about 30 plus ballistic missiles and the and totally it was 90 missiles and more than 600 Iranian drones. So, it was very difficult to destroy it.
We used all weapon what we have what we produce and of course we used anti-ballistic missiles. This is the biggest deficit for us.
>> Now what?
>> Well, the interesting thing is that President Zelenskyy has always appealed to the United States. Biden and he got anything he wanted from Biden. And President Trump he's appealed to President Trump saying, "Give us something. We need something. We want something." This time he's coming to the table with something to give back. And that is drones. Um because of because of the war in Russia with Russia, and Ukraine really having nothing much at its disposal, it has on its own initiative created an incredible product with drones. Drones and anti-drone technology. That's how they kept the Russians at bay for for all of these years. And so they now have a product the world wants, and they're the most advanced technology of drones.
Probably Well, probably not as good as ours, but close. And so they now have something to offer. What they want to do is sell drones to us, sell drone technology to us. They want access to our AI. They say that drones plus American AI could be the weapon that really trumps the Trumps bad pun, but trumps the whole world. And they also want more anti-ballistic missile defense systems. But he's finally gotten the message, which is you don't go to Donald Trump unless you have something to trade and offer.
>> Uh it's called deal making, I think. We do have a president who likes deal making, so we shall see. K.T. McFarland, very nice to see you tonight. Thanks for joining us.
